Ever since I was in Vietnam in 2011, I've been looking for a UK restaurant which did pancakes as good as the ones I had in Huế. Pho House absolutely nailed it. It was perfectly crispy, the filling was full of delicious prawns and even the beansprouts were super. If I lived in Letchworth, I'd go every month. Phenomenal. Staff were lovely too and even gave me a free sesame dessert bun which was yum.
I love Dena and her team. All super welcoming. It feels like home from home (without any cooking or tidying up). Food is fab and reasonable, and they remember what you've had before ie allergies or no skin on cucumbers. Whether you have Dena, Aunt kitie of the other team members all just super lovely. We've been going for years, and even though Myles has almost outgrown parts of it, there is still lots he loves, the board games, the activities etc. Highly recommend and will be going for many years to come. Thanks so much!
Looking to join a local tennis club so hired a court for an hour one afternoon on a sunday as a guest for my son and I to try it out. Sadly not a good experience. Booking over the phone and initial reception good but on the court we were next to a group of 4 mature men playing a doubles game. My son and I have played for a number of years and are relatively competent players however any time our ball went wide and across their court we were given some pretty nasty looks (despite the fact that we had to return a number of their balls over the hour). I gave my son some tips and a bit of instruction and heard a number tuts and huffs directed our way when I did despite the fact that we heard some pretty colourful language from their court for which we received no apology given that my son is only 9 years old. To be honest it was a very uncomfortable hour and although my son and I did our best to enjoy our game we were made to feel extremely unwelcome by the four men on the other court, who it appeared to me were mature members who didn't like children playing, despite the fact that it is advertised as a family friendly club. When we left the court at the end of our game two of the men looked at us, shook their head and tutted again - I couldn't believe it.As we left the club I decided to mention their behaviour to the young girl on receptio, particularly because my son commented on the men's language, plus I thought she might be as surprised and disappointed as we were. Instead her response suggested it was endemic - she said their attitude and language was because they were playing a game. I suggested that surely the club frowns on that behaviour and she said nothing. I asked if she could feed this back to the management as it has certainly put us off considering joining and she pretty much said and did nothing. So sadly this is not the club for us which is a real shame because on the surface it looks fab, but I think they have some work to do on making it family friendly.
We booked a table for a Sunday Carvery and we highly recommend. Great food and great service. Reasonable price too.
A lovely treat. We will definately be returning

We ordered 1 saffron chicken rice bowl and 1 lamb rice bowl from the stand while at Ely food, drink and craft festival today and both were absolutely delicious. Friendly and super quick service and beautifully garnished with pistachios and harberries, and pomegranate and parsley respectively. Served in excellent little boxes with lids to keep the food warm and wooden forks and spoons so really easy to eat. The food really was absolutely delicious and we were so happy we chose this from everything that was on offer. The saffron chicken bowl was creamy and savoury with a delicious zesty pop from the berries and crunch from the pistachios, and the lamb was full of flavour and quite spicy, but not overpoweringly so. Big servings, too - hubby polished his off but I couldn't quite finish mine despite how tasty it was! We wouldn't hesitate to have it again and highly recommend it.
I got a takeout pizza on a whim, whilst walking through town. It was delicious and service was quick. I will definitely be visiting again in the near future.
Great atmosphere, fantastic wines, outstanding customer service. Grace in particular is lovely and Duncan is so well informed on wine, he’ll make your head spin! Dog friendly is always a plus and the cheese and charcuterie board is definitely a winner. Dog friendly yourself a favour and treat yourself to a visit!
We stayed on the attached Campsite while attending a wedding locally. What a find this place was. Excellent campsite with facilities on pitches, very well kept by Mark. Site security was excellent. Cafe onsite offered variety of food including fantastic homemade cakes made by Helen. Throughly recommend this place to stay over or just visiting the Cafe. Good selection of plants as well.
