The best restaurants in St Neots Eaton Socon Huntingdonshire East of England

After spending a day sailing at Grafham Water, a mix of almost 25 adults and kids aged from 11 to 14 descended upon this unsuspecting pub with very little warning for food and an evening meal. As we rolled in we were instantly met with a warm and friendly welcome from the outset. No grumbles were had from the staff at our disorganised entrance. Great service, great food and spacious to accommodate even us! Thank you CookHouse&Pub, we will not hesitate to dissent on you again in the near future! Promise to give you more warning next time.

Popped in here 2nite, met a funny man with a bald head at the bar.....actually he wasn't funny but he had a bald head 🤣

They have a good menu and food is very good. You may have to be patient as they only had one person who was taking orders and serving drinks.

was late but I know towns traffic is a nightmare so not a issue as always food is great

25 minutes to check in is ridiculous, why when the hotel is full is only 1 member of staff on reception. Very poor service

Lovely pub. Quiet for a Friday night but would expect to be rammed in Summer! Staff friendly and attentive. Really nice menu.

Good food, reasonable prices exactly what you expect from a local takeaway.

Went with kids and friends for lunch got in soft Play bit so kids can play ordered nachos for starters and we got our main which was very cold before the starters there was always something wrong with the food there was only one staff in the kids bit to serve people but when we got our starter a hr later the nachos were hard the salsa and no flavour water and just had did floating at the top of it not really recommend

I can't comment on the food as I didn't have any but the staff was nice, it was peaceful and not overly crowded.

Stayed at Premier Inn nearby and fancied kfc as they were 5 minutes walk from hotel. This was after trying 5 times to order through the app both delivery and collection and each time the order failed. Went to the restaurant and finally placed our order and paid. While waiting we tried to order some cookies. Sign says quite clearly, 4 for £4. The young guy trying to ring it in eventually had to ask the lady (manager?) how to ring it in. She told us it was only available on the app! Yet sign right in front said 4 for £4 no mention of the app. So instead ended up payinb nearly £5 for the 4. That relates to the 1 star rating for service. Now to the food. Having eaten kfc at many places around the uk ovet the past 40+ years I can only say not only was the chicken very poor quality but they appear to be missing all the spices that go into a kfc. Even the hot wings had no flavour. Thankfully we are never likely to be in this area again and if we were we would avoid thos place like the plague.
