The best restaurants in St Neots Eaton Socon Huntingdonshire East of England

After spending a day sailing at Grafham Water, a mix of almost 25 adults and kids aged from 11 to 14 descended upon this unsuspecting pub with very little warning for food and an evening meal. As we rolled in we were instantly met with a warm and friendly welcome from the outset. No grumbles were had from the staff at our disorganised entrance. Great service, great food and spacious to accommodate even us! Thank you CookHouse&Pub, we will not hesitate to dissent on you again in the near future! Promise to give you more warning next time.

Didn't eat but excellent atmosphere to have a drink

Easy to find, food good and quiet location

Food here is very good, had a delivery a few months ago and the cod and chips taste just like the ones get by the coast. Had a chicken tikka in a nan wrap this evening and it was very tasty, if you like spicy food this is the place to go. Found our new takeaway shop.

The Olde Sun is a great traditional village pub. The locals are very friendly and it shows all kinds of sports. It is also a good venue for pool and darts. It supports a local football team that often visits on a Sunday afternoon after playing. If you enjoy a pint of the black stuff it’s quality here.

We booked for a Christmas Eve meal with my elderly parents. We were on the way in the car when someone from the pub phoned to cancel due to the vague reason of kitchen issues.. I asked were they phoning everyone and he said just us. When we drove past the pub looked busy it didn't look like a pub with no food. We tried various other pubs in St Neots no luck as no walk in's on Christmas Eve, even takeaways said over an hour and 30 wait, went home very, very let down and disappointed. I had to cook a very late meal.

We visited this restaurant and found 12 items removed from the menu which didn't give us much choice of food. Very disappointed with this so won't be going again.

Unfortunately yet another pub showing open on Google but in fact closes very frustrating

Nice location on a sunny cold winter afternoon. Food was great lovely humus dish and plenty of it. And the Chipote bean dish was lovely. Service was good especially since a missing staff member left them down a resource. Would recommend it for lunch.

Very disappointed in everything overall, I know it’s Christmas Eve and they’re busy,but I was told 50 minutes,I arrived to collect my food and I had to wait another 40 minutes Everyone was complaining who were also waiting for their food and lots of phone calls complaining that they hadn’t received their delivery’s. Beef chow mein had 2 small pieces of beef in….ridiculous I ordered 2 pancake rolls and only received 1 The food was also not very hot,I’d say luke warm. Doubt I’ll order from them again.

Went there for a family meal on a Sunday. The staff are lovely and the facilities are great. The food was pretty good but often there is a whole list of items that are off the menu because of supplier issues. It’s a real shame because the quality of the food is pretty good. Not a bad roast and better than The Bridge! Good value for money. The children’s play area is great for my grandsons. They just need to sort out a decent food supplier.

Under new management since August and the young barman has put so much effort into enticing people to this lovely old Inn. Venue hire, pool tournaments, live music, poker nights and accommodation, it's a great place for a pint and to spend time with your mates!

Honestly the best KFC in the area. Even the newest one in Bedford lacks what this one has. Food is always fresh and comes out quickly. Restaurant is also always clean too.
