Had a really good rump steak here tonight. Like, really good. 👍

Visited for a family birthday meal recently. Excellent old pub with plenty of parking. I had steak and chips, steak was well cooked and succulent, everyone else commented on how well the food was cooked, minor gripe was the chips could have been better. I was fairly quiet in the restaurant area and service was good and staff attentive and polite.

We held my mums funeral wake at the white horse today 25th Jan 2024 and I can fault them at all everything was superb the food was plentiful and delicious would absolutely recommend them thankyou so much for everything it was superb we chose the £19 per head menu and it was well worth it ☺️

Went in here pre-lockdown with my father for a Sunday Lunch. It was ordinary at best, and very slow service. TWO STARS. Thus when it came to my Fathers wake a couple of years later I was rather apprehensive. However they did us proud. We had the back room/restaurant to ourselves, the food was good, varied and plentiful, and the overall price was very good. FOUR STARS, so three overall.

Absolute gem of a place. Really friendly staff. Food is fabulous, and the place is super cosy with a real log fire.

Jason and Stuart are fab both friendly and helpful easy to talk to customers lovely friendly as well especially Sunita and Darren pub is really lovely very cosy with lovely open log fires plenty of choices of drinks altho they close at 7pm on a Sunday

A wonderful pub / restaurant which is an amazing find. The Sunday lunch was one of the best I've had. Excellent portion size for hubby and dad!! The service was excellent really friendly but not in your face. Already looking to go back on Thursday as another birthday treat. And we want to book for my parents 60th wedding anniversary party 2024. Thank you for such a wonderful birthday Sunday lunch 🙏💜🙏

Hosted our engagement party here, we had an incredible evening, very accommodating and friendly team, 40+ people impromptu ordering food on a Saturday and it was no issue at all, thank you!

Not booked so had to stand drinks overpriced and supposed merlot undrink

Went to see Rod Stewart & the Farces who were excellent. Sat outside in a Marquee was a tad cold.

Been here a few times so we really like it again its a lovely place and we will be back

Our first visit here and wish we'd discovered this little gem sooner. Delicious food, friendly and helpful staff and a lovely setting. There wweresingers there the afternoon we went which really added to it. The kids had a great time making friends in the garden and playing on the bouncy castle. This will definitely be our first choice of pub from now on.

Updated from 5 star in 2022. Prices 20-30% higher than last visited in 2022, food was fine but at the higher price needs to be great. Service was so-so, we were the only people in at 12:30 on Saturday so no excuse there. Pub still a third full when we left, suggests others have same view. Shame.

Fantastic pub restaurant staff very friendly and welcoming. Their entertainment nights are awesome.

Came to see Ruby Rox and her support act Lia Gray. Both were fantastic.

Thursday evening visit, it is a nice looking old pub with plenty of parking. Dined in the restaurant area, but had to ask for a menu after 20 minutes sat waiting at our table. Seemed quite random who got menus and served first. We both opted for steak, which was very gristly, and quite watery sauces. The mushroom, tomato and chips were nice though. Overcharged by £22 when paying the bill, wasn't told the amount beforehand, just given the card reader. Fortunately, I asked for a receipt and looked at it before departing. Then had to explain what we had ordered so they could work out the correct bill. Overall summary, very poor, we won't be going again.

The best food around ! My sunday beef roast was amazing and the best vegetarian roast ever! Service was attentive and friendly, and the atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming. The food was delicious. We stumbled across this place by accident, and we will definitely return.

I've had a sunday roast and it was beautiful. Want more. I had my 60th birthday party there . With about 15 of us there. Stewart and Karen, the land Lords gave us all a fabulous time. My birthday was memorable thanks to them. Thoroughly recommend the white horse.

The steak night was brilliant, great cuts of meat and delicious wine. Thoroughly recommend!

Bar staff, waiting staff and manager are super friendly and so helpful but sadly food was not very good, seemed rushed and not much love put into it. BBQ Ribs were very dry with no sauce, pork belly starter was cold and so was the roast. Cocktails were delicious and the barman making he cocktails is great!

Had a lovely mothers Day meal with my mother in law, food was delicious the staff were very polite as well,also had a gift of a polyanthus, too.

Slick operation. Great table service and attractive function marquee. Recommended.

Cracking pint of Guinness after work

3 of us and a small dog. We visited last Friday, with a very warm welcome & that wasn’t just the fire. The main barman (possibly the landlord) was so proud of the food & menu he knew what to suggest & he explained how fresh the food was. All of us had a lovely 2 course meal & couldn’t fit any more in. It’s a beautiful looking pub & friendly staff. Would recommend 100%. Thank you.

Amazing roast and service when busy. They were kind and friendly and the food was delish. They even packed my food as I was full with their drinks and starter. Highly recommend it and family friendly ❤️

Came here for a work Christmas Party, it was in a marquee which was absolutely freezing. I was suitably dressed for winter and yet had to keep my scarf and coat on as it was so cold. They turned on some heat for a few minutes at one point, but then it quickly got cold again. I had soup to start just as I wanted something hot to eat as I was so cold, which was quite nice, the bowl was huge if you had the time to use the smallest ladle to pour it into the bowl, my partner had the terrine, the bread was extremely thinly sliced and it was unclear if it was for everyone or just to go with the soup. Main course had 5 choices, the turkey/nut roast side ran out of plates so I went to get some more, the plates were very hot considering guests had to hold them with their bare hands, no napkins provided at the buffet table to carry them. My partner had the beef stew which only had carrot and beef in it with one dumpling and really runny gravy, not what I would call a stew, he was told he could help himself to roast potatoes, but they were with the turkey table with the utensils near the staff member so didn't feel he could help himself when she was using them to serve others, would've been better if there were some with the other table. I had the turkey which was OK, but for those that got roast potatoes near the bottom of the chaffing dish they were soggy rather than crispy. Dessert we had Baileys profiteroles (not overly tasting of Baileys though) and mincemeat frangipane, that didn't taste of almond at all, but I only had this so I could have the hot custard as I was still so cold. We left after we ate so unsure what the evening entertainment was like. Service could of been better with more staff serving the main course buffet so there wasnt such a queue, food was OK, but portion sizes very different depending on what you chose to eat and heating needs improving so it is more comfortable. Parking was very limited we so had to park down the street, would've been good if there was a sign to say it was full as many cars drove in then had to try and turn around to get back out to park elsewhere

An absolutely fabulous restaurant. The food and atmosphere is just pronominal. The roasts are to die for, highly recommend. Just wish staff where a little more attentive, only offered us drinks when we first sat down and they seemed very rushed. Like they didn't have 2 mins for you, had to flag them down for drinks. Food came out quickly and hot. Would still return, amazing food!

First time here what a fab place nice food lovely staff .it was my mums birthday and they were fab stuart the owner was lovely and the other lady which I think was his wife was lovely all I can say is what a fantastic place we will be back thankyou Angela & all xx

Nice old pub ,17th century good cask ales and good selection of larger friendly staff ,but me being a tight arsed Yorkshire man the beer ain't cheap, but still good...

We stopped here one Thursday evening as we were passing through, and I have to say, it was really excellent. The food was very good and on a Thursday you get a free carafe of wine with two main meals, and the wine was pretty decent as well. Highly recommended.

Fabulous pub and restaurant. The food is excellent and the service is always prompt. Lovely waiters and bar staff. The management goes out of their way to ensure you have a great experience. They have a large marquee attached to the pub which they often have live bands on, cinema nights and they host weddings.

Always a winner. I have been eating and drinking here for years. You can't go wrong.

I’ve not been on a pub crawl in St Neots for circa 8 years but it was pleasing to know this pub has not lost any of its charm that appeals to all.

The place went down hill before COVID . Have been twice since and guess where it's gone . So so disappointed. Both meals brought out wrong , event going on that was so loud we couldn't hear each other in the restaurant. Was not even told the event was taking place when we booked .

Not been here for many many years, since moving away from the area, however decided to eat here with my parents on a Saturday evening recently. It was a great choice. The place was buzzing, the staff were exceptional, draft beer was excellent, and the food was good too. Will definitely come back again next time we're in the area.

It took a bit long long for the food to arrive (45 min) but everything looked amazing and it was really good. The deserts were amazing in both taste and a nice quantity. Good service as well. Edit: I have been again for lunch this time in May 2022 and the food (main) and desert were awesome. 😍

Always a good atmosphere Jason the manger and his staff always very professional and efficient at what they do .would recommend a visit and then you can make your own mind up on that one but honestly worth a visit.

Loved it..had the roast Turkey and it was delicious 😋. Great selection of extras on the plate, great portion sizes and well priced. The spuds were excellent, I have eaten at all the other pubs on the area for Sunday lunch and this has been the best. One small thing, only place I've paid extra for a tiny pot of gravy? Between 3 😁 but anyways great food.

We had our Crafty Monkey works party at The White Horse with Adele tribute and it was a fantastic night. The venue looked amazing and really Christmassy and really got us in the festive mood. The pre-ordering was easy and we all got what we had ordered. Staff were friendly and helpful. Adele was great. Only complaint was we struggled to blow up the balloons on our table but it provided us with fun trying! We managed to smuggle Elf in and he had a whale of a time as you can see in the photos! The White Horse have really worked hard during the pandemic to keep everyone safe and their covid measures were good. It's such a great venue with their marquee area. Great owners who are really personable and helpful! Thank you The White Horse and I hope you don't mind we smuggled Elf in!

My sister and brother in law had their 60th wedding anniversary on Sunday 5th December...they held their celebrations here...what a great choice their daughter had made!... Everything was very satisfactory from the greeting we had when we first arrived..to the actual seating arrangements...the food was amazing in every way...first class service...hot and beautifuly cooked and presented..Will definitely be recommending to my friends..we will be back...thankyou!😀

Great lunch for the In-Laws 60th Wedding Anniversary. Staff were friendly, attentive but not in your face. Food was excellent. There was even a guitarist playing great background music and Santa in his grotto. Will definitely be back.

Very, very nice place. The staff could not have been nicer. The drinks and food were very good. The character of the inside was as I had hoped; cozy and inviting. The Christmas decor, just adds to the ambience. I definitely recommend a visit or two.

This is a really nice place to go for a meal. My Dad and I visited this place for the first time. There is a good choice on the menu, staff are friendly and professional even though I thought it was on a slight slow side. But there were a lot of customers and they probably were short staff as everywhere is at the moment, which is understandable. The place is well looks after and does look really nice. I wouldn’t mind coming back here again.

Made a lunch reservation for about 10 of us. The food was good. Nicely decorated marquee. The cocktails were tasty and made well. Would definitely visit again. Reasonably priced. There’s parking in the back too ! Service could be improved, didn’t get the orders 100% correct for a few dishes.

This venue is perfect for a Wedding.Stuart and Karen always go the extra mile.Our sons wedding there went without a hitch and the live entertainment provided was excellent.Food was at a very good standard and all our guests commented on this and what a great venue this is.

Today was the fourth time we’ve eaten here as we like the atmosphere and the food. We live in hope that the service will improve, but so far, it’s just got worse. On both of our recent visits, we’ve had to get up and ask someone to take our order after being overlooked for half an hour. After ordering, our food took a full hour to come. This was less than ideal as the youngest children were getting grumpy and impatient, and I don’t blame them! We’ve not minded the long waits as much when with other adults as we can relax and enjoy a drink but you can’t expect to keep little ones hungry for so long. The food was nice enough when it came though. The children wanted desserts but we had to say no because we couldn’t bear to wait anymore. Such a shame, but we’ve decided we won’t be returning as nothing has improved, service wise ☹️

Very poor service. The older staff members were unwelcoming and unprofessional. The younger members of the staff were more engaging. We were given a table at the back of the dining area next to a door that was in constant use for staff to access the bar. Which at times became very distracting.

Great dining experience in the amazing marquee. Live music as well! Currently the best venue in St Neots.
