Absolutely appalling service. The manager should not be a manager. Food and drink waiting times up to an hour they were not even busy. Food was sent back as was over cooked. Waited for more food to be cooked and was sent back. Just shocking!!!

The burgers are simply one of the best I have already had. They are veru juicy and cooked at perfection. Good variety of drinks.

Dined here last week whilst staying in the hotel next door. Service was good and very efficient. The food was pretty good to be honest. I had a mixed grill that was cooked well and tasty. With a discount voucher I had to use for a meal and a couple of pints it was around £15 which was a bargain.

We eat here frequently. Tonight the service from the team was great and the new menu also excellent. This place does the best ice cream sundaes so always a winner for me.

We were served by a lovely young lady called Megan who provided us with everything we needed with amazing customer service! Food was delicious for a simple lunch, will be going here again soon

I come here every so often and I'm always very satisfied with everything. The food is great and the staff are so friendly. I have no complaints.

Went their for an 18th birthday, 32 people great food service just a little slow. Went their on bank holiday Monday food great again service slow

Had fish and chips - the batter on the fish was under cook, soggy and raw. Disappointed. The chips were fries and not thick cut. Peas were burnt. We ordered desserts - black forest brownie - they were supposed to have ice cream. The service was delayed for a quiet afternoon which meant the ice cream was melted into liquid. We sent it back.

I can only refer to breakfast as did not stay at hotel. Staff excellent in every respect, good girls too around great service . Thank you ladies

The welcome and level of attention from the staff here was excellent. The team were so nice, even on a busy half term. The all you can eat breakfast is still great value at £10.99 per adult and the hot plates were constantly being topped up with newly cooked food.

Fun play zone for the kids ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Service and food is as you'd expect for a budget friendly chain restaurant ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Cheap and cheerful for families needing sustenance and somewhere for the kids to burn some energy. Only comment re the play zone charging is it is done on height, not age. Some kids can just go in and play (under supervision from guardian table), younger kids requiring a hovering parent pay same price despite a decrease in overall usage. I

Reasonably priced pub food, my grandchildren played in the soft play area. Friendly, polite,helpful staff in restaurant and play area.

A group of 8 called in for a late lunch. Considering it wasn't that busy the food took longer than I would have expected and when it did come the peas on 3 were cold. Nice looking pub but the food needs improvement.

Play area was good but food was awful and cold. The portions were also very small.

Shout out to GEMMA!! Great in her job... from our experience she's a natural! Welcoming, arm and friendly greeting and service. You need more like her... Food arrived in good time too. My rump steak was cooked medium rare to perfection! Although the other order of fish arrived with soggy batter it tased very nice too... No complaints just praise for your staff x

Had 3course lunch here and it was very nice and the atmosphere was really nice and the place was very clean and the waitress was very helpful .All round nice place.

I've eaten here a few times using the hotel and others when not. Its good value for money with nice staff who will always help you if you need them to

I've been here a few times and were it not for the reasonably priced softplay we would come here. Hubby thinks the buffet carvery is great so thumbs up from him for that. Otherwise the menu options are extremely limited if you don't want chips with your meal. Mostly burgers and the generic curry meal or salad. Lots of drink options, I enjoyed my tiramisu iced coffee, once it cake out made as it should be, which when I asked if it came with cream, the boy just shrugged and said he would ask: surely staff should know what they are serving? Staff are always lovely but a bit useless. Probably because there isn't enough of them. I.e. bringing mains out before the starter plates are cleared, and thus struggling to put anything down, not returning after mains are given to ask about dessert. The last time I was there, there was a power cut. Not their fault obviously, but everyone was left to finish what they had in the gloom. No member of staff came round to explain what was going on, how we would pay, if they knew what was happening. They just all seemed to disappear. They could have asked the kitchen staff to support informing people (as they weren't cooking anything thats for sure). The person in the softplay area just walked out and left it whilst children were still in there (subsequently helping themselves to the drinks fridge at the counter). There was no management at all. Improvements needed with management, staffing and menu choices (but I guess that's a head office decision). And like I said, we only go there because the softplay is reasonable and its location.

Food is terrible, worst place to eat in st Neots.

Attended a child's party in the soft play area. The food the children were given were nice sized portions and looked nice.

We love going there, but I would like to ask the management to kindly help the staff in the play area. In my opinion, they should not be required to fetch drinks from the bar or bring food from the kitchen. This is a work overload and it brings the ability of the play area staff down. I waited 45 mins for a glass of Coke, and it was only brought to me when I asked. The play area staff should be in the play area at all times for safety reasons.

Slow service , mix up of the bill, young and careless staff terribly food. Overall experience bad... Enjoy!!!

Take the kids there to play every week adults have a drink and chat. Food also good

Decided to go here for Easter Sunday for the carvery. To starting seemed OK but the longer we were there it proved how bad this place is . A member of our party wanted steak but when it arrived it had no chips so we asked for some . But as I was in the queue for the carvery i could hear two members of staff moaning about the fact we asked for chips .it then took 30 min for them to clear our table and asked of we wanted desserts which we did , after another 30 min of waiting we eneded up giving up and going to the waitress to pay our bill . We had also ordered a lemonade that never arrived but looking at the bill when we got home it had been added on . The staff that served u were so rude and we felt as though we were putting them out , we will be giving this place a miss fir a long time maybe until the staff grow up a bit and learn how to treat customers .....

Food OK but told on ordering that grill broken so no burgers etc. Carvpark right next to venue, free for a couple of hours. Strange to see the cctv of venue on rotation through screens within venue. Food tasty but portions of some meals very small.

The food was lovely great selection off veg and potatoes plus meat . The play aerea was great value for money. The kids enjoyed there time in there.

I recommend pub + softplay. 4 stars as food is typical pub type ;) nothing too healthy for kids or adults. Softplay is really good although I would recommend for at least 3y +

Took a long time for food, came out tepid. Child's meal came out such a long time later after everyone else! Incorrect amount of corn on the cob. Management bloody rude

Was freezing cold in there, had to ask for some heating. Meals were tiny with coleslaw missing and brown rotten salad that had to go back. Pudding had half its topping missing and recipe had changed, tasted cheap and nasty ( caramel apple pie). All in all not a gd experience.

Not very busy when we arrived but mostly ignored by staff, trying to get drinks and food ordered was like they were too busy to take our order. Food was good, but probably won't go there again.

Went for children's party. Brewers Fayre you get what you pay for. Party area good for children, not so organised for the adults.

When the kids need to use up their energy.. easiest place..plus there's food and drink lol.

Good food, much better then a couple of years ago. Had a large group and was catered for quickly. The waiter Frankie was particularly friendly and accommodating to such a large, and daily rowdy group. Very well priced with excellent options for saving when on a budget. For a group of 11 people the total bill was less then £100, due to the savers menu. Were lots of children around, but then it does have a soft play area. Not a place to socialise in much in terms of a pub atmosphere, but for a restaurant it was perfect average.

The staff were polite and well mannered, the food was great, the kids left nothing on their plates, my mixed grill was very tasty and cooked well. The air con was working well. It was a hot Sunday afternoon.

It was so bad, I'll never go back. Run by kids with no service experience and a chef that doesn't know how to cook a steak, or present food. Not only that but they don't know how to order food stock either. Or present the correct bill. 2 carverys and a drink on our bill we never had. We had a party of 10, so could have been easily missed. See pictures. Avoid avoid avoid !!!

Visit the restaurant and the soft play area for the children. Not too crowded. Nice food. Definitely will visit again.

Because my children have Autism, we were placed in a quiet spot, staff were excellent.

Newly decorated, although at the moment the children's area is closed for a revamp (there is an outside play area). There is room for small and larger groups and a bar! Service was good, but some of our meals (I had steak and chips), was over cooked to what I asked for. Desert menu is varied and very high in sugar (it's a pity a healthier option isn't available). The atmosphere inside is relaxing, and there was plenty of room on and around our table, and we never felt rushed to eat and go. Afterwards we spent some time sitting outside before leaving.

Tasty food and a good drinks selection. The soft play was good for our young son. Service was a little slow, but then it was busy.

Went in for unlimited breakfast buffet ( no hot table/self serve area but the lady said you can order as many times as you want and they will bring it out to you)at 10am.Ordered my drink and went to get some toast.Saw them clearing up and asked what time breakfast finished to which the lady said 1030 and then told me I would not be able to order anymore hot food as kitchen is closing,feel like we should have been told this when we arrived or when we were ordering as we may have ordered more first time around.When we mentioned it to one of the staff they said oh well it says on the website...so not very professional! So for 9.50 I've had one of the most expensive breakfasts and was only able to order 1x due to it closing.

Plenty of parking available. The staff were really friendly and saw to us straight away. There was children's colouring menus available which came in handy. There is also a kids play area on the premises which has slides and soft play ball pits etc. The food was really nice and came out on time. Will definitely be returning in the future.

Just brilliant for a family meal. Our little one went off and played in the soft play and we could sit in and watch him wear himself out over great food and a cheeky glass of wine. The chap looking after the soft play area was great with our son, he is a real gem, never let him go!

Took a party of 26 people. Four meals of salmon en croute had to wait 25 mins after others had finished means. When it arrived potatoes and broccoli was cold and almost raw and totally inedible. Girls serving were excellent and they felt embarrassed. It should have been the chef come out to apologise!!

Popped in as driving past, food was lovely, staff very friendly. Only dropped a star as the table behind as was being very loud and adults swearing.

Good facilities for kids, food was average/below average but cheap. The thing that let it down the most was the service from the waitresses, some were extremely lazy and inattentive.

Good food - sweet potato curry very tasty- papadom nice and crisp. Broccoli soup likewise tasty and served at right temperature.( Despite us being told before ordering it was Carrot and coriander)Special deal meant that we had a 2 course meal for 2 @ £18.25 .Can't grumble with that !!

No longer branded as "Brewers Fayre" but as "Cookhouse + Pub Restaurant" from the same parent company. Good food, friendly helpful staff. Wasn't rushed. Would go again.

Thoroughly enjoyed our meal, all staff were very helpful would recommend it to friends. It was also following the covid cleanliness rules. We have booked our xmas lunch for this year, looking forwards to it. The Highwayman restaurant I went to was at St.Neots. Cambs.

Excellent service. Food was well cooked and presented very well.

Food was lovely, but some of the worse service, had to keep reminding them of things. Including a round of drinks that were completely forgotten about, and staff seemed more interesting in chatting amongst themselves than actually serving people.

We stayed at the Premier Inn next door, and visited the Highwayman for our breakfast. Nice food and staff went out of their way to get me non-dairy milk for my coffee. Nothing was too much trouble for them. I'd definitely recommend.
