Gathered with family and friends for a wake at The Stukeley Country Hotel. The new owners and their staff were extremely helpful and friendly and the food looked and tasted delicious, with an excellent choice. Can definitely recommend.

Went for food with a large group. Some Food didn't arrive and when we chased it they were adamant it had gone out and had to buy it again when we never received it. Abrupt and rude with it too.

I can't comment on the rooms as I have not stayed here. The hotel is under new management. When I visited the bar on two occasions, I was afforded a warm welcome by friendly, helpful staff and the new landlord and landlady. Bar areas are characterful, clean and tidy as are the outside seating areas. Definitely recommended.

The new owners were very friendly, they are obviously doing something right as the place was packed. We don’t eat huge amounts so they did a smaller roast for us both. The potatoes were honestly the best I’ve had out, for a very long time. Well done keep nip the good work we will be back :-)

Ryan is very nice man who was serving us yesterday, believe he is one of the new owners. Made myself my wife and our daughter of 10 months feel very welcome yesterday, even offered a complementary bowl of chips for our daughter who is gluten free and regularly struggles to eat out due to her dietary needs she loved them and was able to eat out safely. Small gestures like this really mean a lot and we will be going back soon.

Only stopped for a pint. But it was a really nice place, plenty of different areas to sit in, sit outside, dine in and a games room too. Friendly staff, welcoming and a great selection of beers on draught

I last visited 5 years ago and saw first hand why it closed its doors for good. Now that it's been reopened, I couldn't recommend it more. It's refreshing to be served a decent pint! Ryan made my family feel at home, I think my kids enjoyed the visit more than I did!? We will be back and I urge anyone who bothered to read this to do the same. Support your locals before it's too late!

Under new management! Food is lovely. I had fish and chips, my daughter had fillet steak and hubby had the sausage and mash - all great. Really well presented and tasted great. Some live music today which was nice and relaxing. A great Sunday lunch at the pub.

I needed somewhere for 3 nights near Huntingdon and I couldn't resist the thought of staying in a proper historic building with character (I'm a surveyor). I could have paid double the money for the marriot (where all the others on the training course were) and had all the luxury, hustle and bustle of a corporate venue.I did visit the marriot and whilst it was all very nice, I am very glad to have stayed here. Quiet, friendly, good parking, nice old fashioned desk in my room, interesting building etc. It certainly won't be for everyone but it's going to be my first choice when I next need to stay in this area. Thanks for a nice stay. See you again later this year I hope!

Absolutely awful room. Dirty, carpet was very dirty and dtained, mould in bathroom, hair dhavings over sink, missing light bulbs, so couldn't use mirror in room for hairdrying or make up. No spare electrical sockets. When there was staff on site they were friendly and helpful

went to the pub/restaurant only. lovely little pub, the staff are welcoming, kind and willing to go the extra mile. the business seems to be struggling and unfortunately their chef didn’t turn up, so it appeared bar staff cooked us our meals. despite this they still turned out lovely. the scampi was beautiful and the fish was so big! kids enjoyed their pizzas. calamari was a bit hard/dry and the curry although nice didn’t taste like a madras tasted like a tomato beef stew? curry was served lukewarm but the bar staff heated it up for us without complaint which was nice. overall i’d say the food was okay if you’re looking for traditional british pub i say give this little place a chance, let’s support local businesses. they definitely have the potential to grow into a lovely local pub.

Pleasant oldie worldie pub. Nice people. Great location. Easy parking. Beer well kept and a decent selection of drinks for a small pub. Came with the family, bathrooms quirky but clean and tasteful. Rooms full of character. Quiet village, even with being on the main road through. For the price, I'd certainly stay here again.

It’s no wonder the restaurant was nearly empty. The food was dire. I have never seen meat like as was served (more like the sole of someone’s shoe and inedible), the vegetables were undercooked, a thimble full of horseradish was given to share among 6 people and the mashed potatoes had to be requested as they were forgotten. The food was more like poor school dinners. No desert forks. Really, really poor. Won’t be back.

Intimate atmosphere and historical intriege flavored with the warmth of genuine hospitality. A five plus star rating for their veggy chilly on potato skin starter, an after work favorite. Away from home, missing your favorite pooch ... dog days at inn. Came through for a drink and a bit of caine love. Quality lodging, food and hospitality. See you next visit!

We used to frequent this establishment years ago when it was the pink pub and had many a good memory. Inside the place doesnt appear to have had an update however our meals were top notch and the service faultless. I had the cottage pie which arrived with three different vegetables which was good to see. Would definately return as a good time had by all.

This is a lovely 16th century pub to come into for a drink. Set in a lovely village with a lot of history. The place has rooms to stay in and serves three meals a day. I will come again.

Ate here on a Sunday evening - so many pubs dont serve food on a Sunday evening! The decor is a little tired, but the service was extremely good and the food was hot, well cooked and generously portioned. Probably not the place you would go for a romantic meal out, but a good value place to stop and eat if you are hungry !

We had an excellent traditional Sunday lunch here. We just dropped in and received excellent service. The roast beef was very tender and the good selection of fresh vegetables were cooked just right. The delicious cheesecake for desert was also well presented and the beer was well kept. You would be hard pushed to find a better traditional roast at a local village pub.

Stopped off for a family meal after hearing good words from friends. Pub environment was cosy enough and service was friendly. Menu was standard pub grub and it did have a value 2 meal menu although it in our view was a little bland. Food ordered came out piping hot and generously portioned. Food was a little greasy but otherwise ok. 3 stars but sadly not memorable.

I went to the Stukeley country Hotel for a meal at lunchtime with a group of work colleagues, we entered an went to the bar for drinks then were directed to our reserved table, this was clean well presented but one of my colleagues was quite cramp as a side board with condiments was right behind him, we subsequently moved to another table as the restaurant was empty.

Now reopened (Under new management?) with new furniture and a return to the quality and welcome of the past. When originally opened, the cafe offered a lovely "family feel" with excellent service and quality. The cafe had slumped badly in the quality of the experience in recent years, after a change of owners, and my previous visit had been quite unpleasant, so it was VERY refreshing to find a smiling welcome, rapid service and excellent coffee. The new tables are perhaps less rustic than the previous versions, which has lost a little of the atmosphere, but the cafe is scrupulously clean and retains the previous layout. The seating area is quite small and if you are planning to lunch there I would say that booking is essential. It does get very busy at times. The food is reasonably priced, though not "cheap" and the quality was excellent. Attention to detail has made a huge difference to the offering and it is clear that the bad memory of the past has been banished.

Gteat pub and excellent service. Visited on a Tuesday lunchtime. We had meat pie and veg and fish and chips which were cooked perfectly and served promptly with a smile. We had our dog with us and I have to say he was fussed over, given a blanket and toy to play with and lots of treats. The bar lady was very kind and friendly, moving tables together for our benefit. Would definitely recommend this venue.
