The best restaurants in Shenley Hertsmere East of England

The is a locals pub with a friendly atmosphere that extended to visitors like me. A lovely pub setting good food. The house beer "Black Horse" was served to perfection

What a little gem of a restaurant , food is so refreshing and delicious, staff are very attentive and polite , the atmosphere is relaxing and nice decor, I will definitely be returning, by far the best Italian restaurant in hertfordshire

Very nice little pub. Had a meeting most Monday Nights but due to Covid the Landlady has not been opening on that night, only on occasions when having a special do in the day.

Turned up with a bunch of other cyclists and had hot drinks provided in record time, and hot food very soon afterwards, all with good service and good prices. We had outdoor seating, bikes visible at all times and will return again

Very expensive for very average food. Over £80 a couple for 2 courses with no alcoholic drink for Sunday lunch, left us feeling very upset. My chiefs special of Beef Stroganoff was tough and uninspiring, not as good as Sainsbury's ready meal. My friends Lobster ravioli meagre and filled with muscles. We will not return.

We went with friends. The food is always good, but we have had problems in the past with service. Not so Saturday night - the service was great. We received everything we requested, in a timely manner, and they really went out of their way to ensure everything was great. We will be going back again soon.

We had an incredible evening at the White Horse Shenley this evening. Thank you to our waitress Jolie and chefs Marian and Chen. Food and service outstanding. Most of all on leaving my car failed to start despite several attempts. We were invited to wait inside despite the staff wanting to finish up after a very busy service A big shout out to everyone for helping us out, offering to make hot drinks and just being there. A huge thank you for getting us out of the rain into the dry.

Working under staff unfortunately very far from usual Pizza Express service quality, the staff is working hard but the management made a big mistake to keep just 3 employees we waited for an hour and left only having drinks hope management sort the issue.

A larger coffee house with plenty of space to meet people

Massively disappointed in both of our orders- chicken was minimal in one wrap and I ordered extra halloumi in the other to find there was 2 SMALL chunks of under cooked (if at all) in the whole thing. Both wraps were soooo bland and overpriced - just completely tasteless. It was our first and last time of ordering from there unfortunately. Wouldn’t recommend.

I ordered a foot long Italian with cheese, tomatoes, lettuce and mayo. Given a tiny amount of lettuce and two slices of tomato, had to ask for more tomato and was given an extra slice!. Ridiculous for nearly £7 with no extra's.

requested no mayonnaise and it's covered in mayonnaise.
