The best restaurants in Shenley Hertsmere East of England

We decided to try Sunday lunch here, they don't offer roast, but the menu even though small, was varied, I chose the homemade Chicken pie and my partner the Schnitzel, both were delicious! The service also great, staff friendly and very attentive.

Service and atmosphere was decent. However we did pay an awful amount for a veal and side dish which was not fresh and taken out of a fridge. Bit disappointing.

Quiet, airy cafe with delightful staff and a wonderful outlook onto a field. The has brown bites were beyond superb and dare I say worthy of a detour. Peaceful place, lots of room, a great antidote to a dog walk and children’s play area just a short walk away. Plenty of parking too it’s an ideal rendezvous point. Coffee well made.

This is a lovely place in a perfect setting looking across the countryside and has a lovely atmosphere. The new menu is welcome as it now includes meat, fish and chicken dishes. The food is perfect. Lamb ragu was really tasty and the meatballs delicious. Good choice of desserts too. The staff are really friendly, courteous and very well trained. They’re not intrusive and don’t leave you waiting and their timing is perfect. Will definitely be back.

Amazing spot and superb value for the 2 4 1 steak night on Tuesday. Beautifully cooked, locally sourced Ribeye, great sauces and great beers. Service was friendly and not overbearing. Highly recommended

What a great pub! Went for a long lunch and was greatly impressed with the choices on the menu. We had the prawn tempura sourdough toastie, yuzu mayo and salad… wow was delish! Prawns perfectly cooked, still crunchy, salad fresh and with a lovely dressing. Followed by dessert and coffee, all to a high standard. We were made to feel at home by the excellent service provided by Ben, thank you, nothing was too much trouble. We have already put our next visit in our diaries.

Good clean place to eat, with full menu and onsite parking.

Really good pizza express! Staff were great , pizzas and starters all what you expect from pizza express quality!

A larger coffee house with plenty of space to meet people

Massively disappointed in both of our orders- chicken was minimal in one wrap and I ordered extra halloumi in the other to find there was 2 SMALL chunks of under cooked (if at all) in the whole thing. Both wraps were soooo bland and overpriced - just completely tasteless. It was our first and last time of ordering from there unfortunately. Wouldn’t recommend.

Delivery time went back from stated time at ordering. Courier was waiting for my order for what seemed a long time. I had to microwave my food when it arrived as it was cold.

AVOID THE TACO BELL! Pathetic portion size and I’m sure I didn’t get the paid extras I added to my burrito. It cost as much as a main course in a restaurant to! Really rubbish.
