Authentic Italian dining at its best, delicious food with a friendly atmosphere and great service. Highly recommended. I will definitely be returning for more ☺️

Food tastes quite nice but have been to the shenley branch twice now and the whole group has come away with a bad stomach on both occasions and we have eaten different meals. So that’s a bit concerning

Extraordinary place, recommended for everyone.

I have an intolerance to onions and garlic and the restaurant have always made me my food without. However my last visit was different, they told me they have never made it for me which isn't true . I shall not be returning if they can't accommodate someone's intolerances . A shame as local to me . But intolerances are a difficult thing

Came here with a friend on a Saturday evening. Restaurant was busy. Both had excellent meals in very pleasant surroundings. Service good. Would recommend.

Very relaxed place with great food - we were very impressed and it was much better than we expected! Fresh and juicy, definitely best garden salad and mussels I have had in recent years. Highly recommended and will go back soon.

This was one of the best Italian restaurants I’ve been to! You could tell the food was fresh, and it was all perfectly cooked as well. Every single staff member we encountered was incredibly friendly and professional - overall we could not fault the place at all and I definitely hope to be coming back whenever I am next in the area!

Nice local Italian restaurant with a recently added pleasant outside terrace. Nice staff and good easy parking at the front. We strongly recommend the Tiramisu, it was perfect!

Every time it's a pleasure to stay at "L'Italiana". The staff are always smiling, helpful, and ready to welcome you. Food is always on time, and always above and beyond our expectations!!!! Highly recommend this place! Five stars from us!

We have been to this restaurant multiple times and had a great experience. We most recently dined as a group of 14, and they catered for us with absolutely no problems.

What a fantastic place, took my dad here for his 80th birthday along with 29 other family members, booked in advance, all the food was delicious and the staff were amazing, and kind. Look forward to going back next time I am in the UK with just my parents and brothers!

L'italiana is by far and away the best Italian restaurant we have been to in and out of London. The food , service, setting and value for money is on point! I have 3 really fussy eating kids and all members of staff can't do enough to make their meal a wonderful experience. We will be back again very very soon!!! Well done and Yum Yum!!

Absolutely fabulous Every bite was a celebration of authentic Italian flavors. The menu featured a wide variety of dishes, from classic favorites to unique creations that showcased the chef's creativity. I started with the Caprese salad, which was a perfect balance of fresh tomatoes, creamy mozzarella, and fragrant basil. For my main course, I indulged in the homemade pasta with a rich and flavorful Bolognese sauce. The pasta was cooked to perfection, and the sauce had just the right amount of depth and richness. It was truly a taste sensation! Grazie mille for the fantastic food!

Really good place friendly good food

This Italian restaurant offers an extensive selection of pizza and pasta dishes. While the service initially seemed slow and somewhat passive, the owner's exceptional involvement significantly enhanced our experience. I tried the Diavola pizza; it was decent, though not particularly remarkable. Given the overall experience, I'm inclined to visit again, preferably with a smaller group to possibly enhance the service experience.

Myself and my better half decided that on the spur of the moment we wanted an Italian. We Googled local places ,read the reviews on this place and thought! LETS GO!. So we did!. We were a few minutes early and said we don't mind having a drink at the bar. The staff said no it's fine we will take you to your table. The staff I have to say are Brilliant!! Friendly, polite, easy to get along with. Nothing is to much bother for them. We both had the fillet steak, I had it with the pepper corn sauce it was AMAZING Also had the mixed salad as a side. My partner had the same but with vegetables, she thoroughly enjoyed it! And she can be a very fussy eater when it comes to steak. But we both loved it. Had cheese cake (mixed berries) we shared one, we were to full to have one each. We sank 2 bottles of Rose ( on a school night to!) But it was worth it. We had such a lovely evening there and can't wait for another visit! Very popular place, no sooner had one party left, tables cleaned and reset, there was the next party arriving. It was like that all night. Good buzz about the place, people chatting, staff laughing with the customer's. Go pay them a visit 👍 Nikki & Nige.

Unbelievable quality, service, and taste! 10 out of ten in fillet, ribs, lamb chops, salad, king prawns, lobster and so on… you will need a San pelegrino at least, because you will eat too much of everything… tutto perfetto! Grazie 🙏🏻 al chef e al proprietario and all people working there…

Starters were nice, however pizza was too heavy on the cheese and ended up being overly rich and greesey.

Lovely restaurant with amazing staff. A big booking of 10 people and the service or food didn’t suffer. I had a pizza it was amazing. There was a slight issues with the order but it was corrected and dealt with professionally.

Dined here several times; food has always been lovely, especially the pizzas, with a good selection to choose from - every bit as good as the St Albans restaurant. Good service and a light, spacious interior. Outdoor dining is nice on a warmer evening too. Parking spaces are a little limited.

I have eaten in L’Italiana probably 20+ times and never had a bad meal. The food is so consistently good and a very varied ‘proper’ Italian menu. I like the variation of the specials too. The staff cannot do enough for you, always super friendly and helpful. Excellent Pinot Blush Rosè wine and the Malbec is also great. My dad who is a Tiramisu connoisseur stated it was some the best he had had. I feel lucky to have this as my local restaurant.

4 of us on a busy Saturday night . Food amazing , service quick and slick . Atmosphere buzzing as usual . My no.1 go to restaurant in St Albans . Many have tried to compete but never quite as good as L ‘italiana . Sister restaurant is great too but lacks the atmosphere of the original .

We had dinner here. The food was excellent and plentiful.

It is a very modern restaurant and is well lit and nicely decorated. The food was well cooked and a good menu choice plus the chef daily specials. Staff were professional and very attentive. We were a large party and the food came more or less all together. Not a lot of parking, so ensure you arrive early if the restaurant is busy.

Disappointed! Service very slow. Escalope Milanese overcooked, dry as a bone and tough. First and last visit.

Came here at lunchtime on a Saturday. Called before (from the road) as wasn't sure if they'll have a table, they did. The service was wonderful and quick, the food was superb. We ordered two dishes from the chef's special and two from the regular menu. The starters, halloumi and calamari was great, the pizza and homemade ravioli were both superb. Will definitely come again, perhaps during the evening for a change.

Had calzone and the dough was undercooked, my company had food off the specials menu and tbh the sauce for the main tasted like it was out of a packet!! And they charged us £20 for a service charge!!! Fair play they didn’t charge me for the calzone but be serious, £20 service charge!!!! 3rd time of going here but definitely the last

Can't rave about this place enough... Superb food & superb service, Nothing is too much for them to deal with. For the disabled: ramp outside & lovely clean ladies/disabled toilet. We take blind in-laws here & they welcome them every time with hello, how are you & big friendly smile. Absolutely excellent 👌👌

One of my favourite Italians, come here quite a lot, staff are super helpful and as it's fresh, food is great, i love the veal millanase and they are happy to cater for specific needs. I prefer this to va panciera radlett... (which I also like) Try and get the melon schnapps back!

Surprisingly big inside with a lovely modern decor in contrast to the exterior! Food was absolutely lovely and the staff welcoming and attentive. Had the tagliatelle with julienne steak and the ratio of meat to pasta was amazingly good. So tasty!

Solid neighborhood Italian, consistent, tasty food at reasonable price.

Just had lunch there, great service, sorted out a (very small) issue we had with grace and perfectly (it IS how you deal with it). Highly recommend the Spaghetti Scoglia de Sorrento (White Wine Sauce).

Been a long time visitor to the St Albans and this was the first time at Shenley. We had bruchetta followed by the lobster ravioli from the specials menu. The food was soooo good and the flavours were amazing & fresh. Service was super fast and friendly. Highly recommend and will be back 😊

Very average, not as good as their sister restaurant in St Albans. I had the lobster dish, not great, very stringent with the prawns. The staff (ladies) weren't very friendly, no smiles. Won't be going back.
