The best restaurants in Epping Forest East of England

My son and I visited here for breakfast today, it was our first visit and will definitely be our last. The waitress looked as if she couldn’t have cared less about our order. My son ordered a big breakfast with white toast and I ordered scrambled eggs on brown toast with mushrooms. My sons arrived first, minus his toast, mine arrived 5 minutes later on white toast. I took mine back to the counter and asked them to change it to the brown toast I had ordered. The white toast took about another 5 minutes to arrive, my son had almost finished by the time mine arrived. Then just as we had finished our food another lot of white toast arrived !!! There was no apology from anyone for the mixups and the food was okay but nothing to shout about so will definitely not be going back.

New management i left my glasses at the pub. Phone and website dont work... How we suppose to get in contact with pub?

This take away prefers you to order straight from them so I ordered online from their app, they took my money and afterwards when I go back into the order to see where my food is it’s saying they’re closed! On their website and also on Google it states they’re open. They’ve now cancelled my order but it’s going to take 8-30 days to get my money back… disgusting, I’m fuming, want an apology and my hard earned money back immediately. I’ll be going to visit them tmrw to tell them what I think of their unprofessional behaviour. Do not order from this place, it doesn’t care about its customers

This is such a lovely traditional country pub. It was very busy but we received friendly service from the landlord. A zero alcohol Guinness and a glass of Rioca and two steak and ale pies. Very fair price for home cooked food. The pies were delicious - the steak was tender and the pie was very filling and flavorsome. Served with thick proper chips, peas and the most delicious honey roasted carrots and parsnips. We will definitely return. We found it by chance after not being able to get a table in another 2 pubs. A great location for walks in Epping Forest.

Amazing restaurant! I visit regularly with friends and the food never disappoints. Very reasonable prices for the food and the service is amazing :) I cannot recommend this spot enough, perfect for casual dinners or even for fancier occasions!

Great food, friendly atmosphere

Roza used to be our favourite Turkish. However it has gone downhill in recent times. Our last two orders have had missing items. We ordered the filo parcels for £6.50 I would expect more than three, it never come with the sweet chilli sauce. My chocolate brownie dessert was the smallest slither and came without ice cream. Again, for £6.50 I would expect much more. All the hot food and bread was stone cold. We didn’t receive a large pot of garlic sauce we paid extra for. We were told it would be around 40-50minutes, it turned up 20minutes later than that. All in all a very disappointing experience, cold food, long wait, over priced, missing multiple items, poor quality control or care.

Went in here for the first time after leaving north weald Market, found it taking back roads home to Ware have to say what a lovely pub and beautiful location the lady who served me and my wife was so friendly and welcoming we had food the fish and chips and quarter pounder with chunky chips and salad the food was gorgeous and huge portions will definitely be going back ta very much for a lovely time at your pub 👍🏻😊

Had booked for 4 people last night Saturday 2nd Nov. We turned up at 7pm. And there was no one there, the door was open the place was a disarray. Table cloths screwed up on one table wine glasses everywhere. No staff. We walked around , called out ..... no one....So we sat down as we had brought our own wine. Took glasses from behind the bar drank the wine, hoping that someone would turn up. But no. So we got a cab to epping to have a meal instead. It was so strange. Why take a booking if you are not going to be there.

We went for dinner and had a great experience. Food was delicious and the service was really good too all in all lovely experience and would come again.
