We were looking for something to eat within walking distance on a Monday evening and everything was shut - except the Shikha take-away. Popped in, ordered and waited for a bit. When we got home, I must admit that I was pretty impressed with their food. Living close by, we've driven past thousands of times and never really gave it a second thought. It might just now be my favourite Indian take-away locally. We'd definitely like to try here again.

This was the first time that I tried this Indian Takaway based on the reviews I read. Most were good so I gave it a chance. The staff member that I spoke to on the phone was very polite as he was when I collected the food. The price was not cheap and I would say slightly above average. Some reviews said that the food was tasteless which was a bit harsh but I will say that the Onion Bhargi's were very expensive, full of oil and totally tasteless. I would say that too much oil is used and it should be drained off far more before the food is sent out. I am not sure if I would return as I feel their are other Indian Takaway's that would suit me better which is a shame.

Always a good experience at Shikha, the food is excellant and beats other sit-in restaurants. We have a good rapport with the order taker, who is always friendly and never forgets your name. A great selection of different dishes and always cooked to perfection. Would not go anywhere else....

They make great crispy samosas and bhajis!

I ordered two chicken tikka and one garlic rice. The garlic rice was okay but half of the chicken tikka pieces were quite tough and had a stale taste and smell to it, like it had been cooked in advance and left to stand for a day or two. I had to throw half of the chicken pieces in the bin. Ruined my meal. I won't be ordering from Shikha ever again.

Tasty dishes, and unlike many Indian takeaways each dish tastes authentic. Only Indian takeaway we use, and we've tried all locals.

Chicken was not cooked parts of it was still frozen! First time ordering here and will never order again.

Unfortunately none of my order was to my liking. Chicken tikka masala was overly tangy, vegetable rice felt like I could have got it out of a packet and I ordered spicy popadoms and got regular. Won’t be back.

Ordered the meal at 5:30 pm to be delivered at 6:50pm. It was 35minutes late. Didn't get an explanation from the restaurant. The food was nothing to write home about. Won't be ordering again!

I would have given 6 stars for food quality as most of the food was lovely apart from my lamb Shashlik, it was so chewy I couldn't eat it and ended up throwing it away

Decent heat and flavour to the Nagaria Pathia, the okra was fresh and crisp, though the saag paneer was quite dried up & had small fried chunks of paneer without any flavour (I’m used to a creamier version) and the onion bhaji was more oily than tasty.

The food arrived late. When I asked the driver if it might be cold. He replied put it in the microwave. I rang the restaurant for their response and the man put me on hold until I got fed up of waiting. Really not happy

The first time we’ve ordered……..it won’t be the last! The food arrived early, was nice and hot and more importantly tasted amazing! Having tried most Indian restaurant‘s around Buckhurst Hill, I have to say the food was wonderful - thank you.

My delivery arrived lukewarm and was quite tasteless, and gave me mild food poisoning. My partner, who is Indian and a knowledgeable cook, having ordered independently at a later date, agreed that the food was not good

Nagaria King Prawn Bhuna - Superb and great kick. Lamb Gurkha - Excellent dish. The kids wanted Indian (mild). I normally choose other cuisines, but this was very good.

Raita should have veg in it, I just got yogurt. Biryani said it comes with veg curry, I got Dahl, which was really watery with hardly any lentil. So everything was wrong except for the Coke bottle...?

We always order from here however this time the Bombay aloo was over cooked, like mush. King prawn korma (main) only had 3 small prawns in the dish. Chicken mahani was nothing more than chicken in a korma sauce. Onion Baji was rock hard couldn’t consume. When I rnnf up the restaurant to complain I was told that all they could do was make a note on our account for some kind of sucking when I next order….which I advised we will not be ordering from them again.

Ordered using Uber Eat and was sent the wrong order. Must have been someone else's. Sent them a message via the app and and also rang the delivery man and left a message on his voice mail. Neither the restaurant or the delivery man contacted me. So was left staring at an unwanted order for an hour.. What to do??? Eat it or wait??? Still heard nothing... 2 hours has gone by.. Pretty disappointing since I'm starving!!

Best Indian takeaway I can remember having. Third time from Shikha and it has been consistently excellent. Sauces are plentiful, thick and not greasy. Mains and sides all excellent. 100% my go to Indian takeaway.

Driver was extremely rude! Left me a voicemail swearing calling me various names because I missed his call and he couldn’t find my address (which every other delivery driver does not have a problem with) will never use this shambles of a restaurant again

Have always used this Indian takeaway for years unfortunately standards have deteriorated and food isn’t up to what if used to be. Always missing salad with my orders such a shame.
