Subway in Epping Forest

It took 1 hour and 20 minutes for my order to be delivered. It didn’t say it would take this long when I booked it, but after 50 minutes of waiting I checked and the delivery time had updated to another 40 minutes and the status was still on “preparing my order”. I live 10 minutes from the store so I feel an hour and 20 minutes for one sandwich meal deal is unjustified. I tried calling the to check on my order but they hung up on me so I couldn’t cancel. Not the delivery drivers fault at all.

Seems to be a franchise and typical of the Subway model. Shame they do not take American Express cards, unlike other franchises. Now offering pre-order for collection and also part of the delivery apps

Order never showed up. Staff were so rude and provocative when questioned where order was and showed zero desire to help. Embarrassing conduct.

Very poor. Items missing and took over an hour. Delivery man didn’t care at all. Promised a full refund but just eat doesn’t offer that.

The most disgusting subway in the world! Not only are the staff rude and they don't let you use sub points! This is nothing compared to watching the lady behind the counter retrieve used gloves from the bin to make my sub!!!!! Couldn't believe what I witnessed! When I asked her about it she told me they had run out of new gloves! Like this normal!!! Cancelled my order straight away and after leaving took a quick look around the back of the shop. Bins over flowing, rat droppings everywhere! How subway allow people like this to use their brand is crazy!

AVOID!!! Takes orders, even calls to to confirm as they haven't got what i ordered. Then cancels order an hour later! you've lost my custom. Congrats!

Avoid Avoid. Stale bread, shockingly rude manager who blames Deliveroo for the stale bread and won’t issue a refund! I had to visit the store to speak to her as she hung up when I phoned earlier to complain. Will not accept responsibility for the awful quality of the product. I can now see why there are so many terrible reviews on here.

Forgot my sandwich tried to make me come get it myself so they had to deliver it to me later in! Quality was awful tasted so bad and the bacon didn’t seem cooked at all

Very rude manager, asked for a footlong and free children’s meal which is the promotion and I show her the promo on my subway app. She refused my kids meal as my daughter was in the car with aunt and not stood next to me. I asked her to show me where that is stated in the deal and she could not . She made a massive scene in front of other customers and was extremely embarrassing. I left without marking a purchase and will never return to her store again. What if I was taking the subway to for my child to have after school? How would that have worked . Absolutely ridiculous . She also ignored me whilst flirting with a male customer and let her colleague deal with online orders and mine .

Rudest staff I've ever known, they rush your order and told me I couldn't upgrade the cup drinks to bottle drinks even though there was a sign on the counter which said I could and a fridge full of them, barely any filling in the subs

I love a subway usually but this particular store I have had enough with. I usually order on deliveroo and every time I order I have missing items and hardly any filling and the quality of the food is shocking. This particular order I was missing my crisps, paid for extra cheese (there wasn’t ANY cheese either) or the jalapeños I selected and the bread was like a rock. I will not be ordering lunch from this particular store again. Harlow stores are much nicer.

Very frugal with the portions and frankly quite rude people working in there. Not up to the quality or standards you would expect from a Subway!

Extremely slow service. If you're a regular, you can skip the queue and get your salad box within 2min...

Good arrived cold without cheese as ordered, when politely called the store spoke to a very helpful man who said he would resend the order within 20 mins! Ten minutes later c get a call from a very rude women who wouldn’t except food was cold or wrong just wanted an argument, DON’T ORDER FROM THIS SUBWAY they give the chain a terrible name!!

Placed an online order that should have been delivered by 6:50, it wasn't. I called through at 7:15pm and was rudely told "we're closed now, your order has gone cold and we've thrown it out, it's not my problem". The only issue is that I can't give them zero stars.

Firstly, we waited over an hour for two sandwiches…and when the order arrived it was then incorrect. I requested a refund through JustEat and they were very helpful and did it straight away. Maybe 30 minutes after my refund request I get a call from the establishment arguing with me over the refund. The woman on the phone was extremely rude and kept implying I didn’t need the refund because she packed the bag herself and it was “all there”. The fact the woman wished to argue with me over this £8 refund is beyond me. I have never experienced such poor service.

I ordered the meatless meatball salad and the cheese was not the plant based option I asked for. Luckily I am not allergic/intolerant but chose not to eat it once I realised. Also the meatless meatballs were cold, as were the side of potato wedges. The only saving grace for my order this time was the quick delivery time.

Order was completely wrongly labelled. Veggie meatball sub was labelled as meat and meat labelled as veggie. Not at all happy as a vegetarian to have bitten in to a meat sub labelled as the plant based option! Disgusting!!!!!

Ordered, the restaurant confirmed the order but the restaurant then rang to say the delivery driver had gone for the day, they then closed for the day. I then spent close to an hour speaking to Just Eat customer service on the chat, the first person was next to useless, saying I’d only get 50% back as a late order even though it’s the restaurants fault. Tried another person who sorted a full refund straight away! Won’t be using useless subway again and will be closing just eat account.

The staff in this shop are rude, obnoxious and unwelcoming. Will never visit again. Huffing, puffing, sighing, no eye contact, everything seemed a little too much for the guy making the food. Think they need some staff training on how to treat the general public. I think going in there and being served was an inconvenience to his life. Absolutely disgusting. It’s ok though because my sons thrown together sub looked so appetizing!

Salad order was wrong, wrong toppings, also amount of salad in sub was pitiful, a tiny sprinkle of lettuce. Very expensive for what you get.

This will be the 5th time ordering from subway Epping and the food is always cold or Luke warm. The shop is down the road from my house I don’t understand why it’s cold when it gets to my door. On top of this I have to wait basically an hour for delivery when again the shop is down the road from me. Will not be ordering from there again.

The restaurant didn’t read what we had ordered so we got loads of salad in a sub which we didn’t want it in. My brother in law didn’t really enjoy it for that reason and left half of the foot long. That sub was also toasted and we ordered for a specific time and it was 15 minutes early which meant it was cold when we collected. Food tasted average as expected but these things let it down.

Food arrived but one of thrm was wrong, they clearly didn’t read their order properly. Phoned up, couldn’t understand what they were saying. Have given me credit for a free one.

I must say I am very disappointed with the service today I think it was very poor I ordered a foot long steak and cheese subway with tiger bread, I ordered that at around 1:30pm it told me delivery time was 2:10pm and it never turned up the man phoned me to apologise however it’s still turned up at around 4:00 pm and the subway wasn’t very hot it was not the best performance from subway as a subway fan I’m fuming !!

Waited 35 mins for 2 sandwiches. Restaurant 2 miles away. When food arrived it was cold. I phoned the restaurant whilst waiting and they assured me all food would be hot as it’s transported in special way. Turned up in carrier bag with cold drinks on top. Person on phone said it was delayed as they were putting together multiple deliveries which is great to know. Doesn’t give you the option on Cold food due to multiple deliveries. The guy on phone didn’t even apologise. Poor service, poor food.

I paid extra for cheese and asked for it to be toasted but when the sandwich came it had no cheese and it wasnt toasted. Very disappointed

Food was cold, order was wrong and items missing. Garlic bread was rock hard and stone cold. Nachos had peppers on when we ordered without and cookies were missing from the order. The subs were cold. Kids meal came with a toy which is my only positive comment.

We asked for no jalapeño on the meatballs however they come with them. We asked for a turkey breast and ham sub. We got no ham and what tasted like chicken. We asked for hearty Italian bread on the footballing sub we got something different We asked for a Pepsi max and got something completely different. Not happy at all

Sub arrived ‘Burnt’ instead of toasted .... with no Salad

My grandson is a great fan of Subways so to please him I joined him in a meal there. To be frank I was surprised by the taste and quality. The coffee was ok, but the roll was very good. It was well filled and at a reasonable price.

This is a mistake I did not go to subway

The delivery driver was very rude, saying they shouldn’t of even delivered to my address because it was out side of the delivery radius. If that is the case why is our address on just eat and why did the restaurant accept the order? Loyal customers but very unhappy with the drivers service
