Not impressed. It wasnt busy and waited over 10m before i got up and left. I even went in and got my own menu to try and get some attention. Left and went to Blue Rooms Cafe. Greeted and served straight away.

Lovely restaurant. Good service Great atmosphere. Delicious food and very reasonable,what more do you need.

What a lovely atmosphere! So relaxed. Pizzas were incredible! Hot, fresh, and delicious! Such lovely staff - so friendly and welcoming.

Whilst the service here is amazing and the staff are friendly and welcoming, I’d have to say the food hasn’t improved since I last visited. I had the halloumi breakfast and couldn’t help notice how extremely salty everything was. I get that halloumi is salty, but the avocado was excessively salty too, ruining what was left of a below average stodgy dish. Also took the time to check the bill, as I have seen several customers point out that they had been overcharged in the past. My friend and I ordered fresh orange juice here before too, only to be served awful carton orange juice. I waited for the bill to see if I’d be charged for fresh orange juice - and they had tried to. I asked if it was fresh and was told no, the juicer wasn’t working on that day. So they knew it wasn’t fresh yet still tried to charge for it. Disappointing.

I ordered the Bikini breakfast, it was £13 for smoked salmon, avocado, spinach and poached egg. I thought this came with bread but it didn’t, just really expensive. They charged me £2.50 to add some sourdough. £15.50 for food alone, and it wasn’t that nice.

Went here for lunch today, I had the bikini breakfast and a Diet Coke, this should have been £16.50 I was charged £21.50! it’s only when I got to my car I did the maths and realised they over charged me. When my two friends paid they over charged them each too but they complained and the staff said “oh your right” Be careful they are massively overcharging and getting away with it!

Be aware of the hidden service charge!! They charge a 10% service charge that is not advertised anywhere in the cafe or on the menu. The cafe is nice. And the food was ok. But I don't think it was worth the price, or matched other reviews. Maybe I visited them on a bad day. I ordered the big breakfast with poached eggs. The eggs were perfect and the rest of the breakfast was fine but not amazing. Despite ordering drinks at the same time as the food the orange juice didn't arrive until after I had already finished eating. The juice tasted very watered down. Overall a disappointing experience.

The ladies who work here are world class and so helpful and friendly, food is fresh and so tasty, come here for brunch as often as I can!!

Omg this is most definitely one of the most amazing little places to eat The food is fantastic and the staff are most helpful and kind If your really lucky some of the regular customers yes you dave can really cheer your day up

First time I've been there since it was taken over and I was quite impressed. Good food and value for money. Excellent menu choice.

Really didn't enjoy the breakfast on Sunday. Service was slow and quite grim to be honest. Asked for ham & cheese toastie, but they can't do it, although they have ham & cheese croissant in the menu, and toasted bread with the breakfasts. Asked for omlete, again they can't do it, although they have scrambled eggs in the menu. My missus was told she can have like half a breakfast if it's too much (1 egg on toast instead of 2 eggs on 2 toast), but was charged full price at the end. And, to top it all off, 10% service charge included in the bill, although the service was minimal and full of "no"s. I will spend my money elsewhere from now on.

Not so good this morning. Took a long time for someone to take our order, and even longer for the order to arrive (two sandwiches, two breakfasts and four coffees). Luckily we weren't in a hurry 😞

Delicious food (ravioli stuffed with goat's cheese and red onion, and a spicy meat pizza), polite and efficient service, lovely evening!

This has become our go to place for a Brunch/Lunch. Sometimes with our grown up children & grandchildren. Good fresh food and very friendly staff - love it

Lovely, friendly cafe found after a long hike from Epping. Having got myself in a jam with no phone battery the staff and customers alike make me feel really welcomed and reassured. Kelly in particular was exceptionally helpful - many thanks to all of you!

Garden looks lovely. Staff brought out two coffees both ended up on saucers. No apologies. Staff too young not got a clue. Cheap employment. Asked for bill never came had to que in deli. Not a clue. Spent £36 overpriced. Wouldn’t go there again.

Been a few times with my cycle club, the food is good and prices are very reasable however on this occasion we were left very disappointed. It took over 50mins and multiple times of asking for two bowls of porridge to arrive. We were advised that they only had one microwave working (could be made in pan?) and the customers who came 10mins after us managed to get their porridge 15mins before us as well!

The food was great, and the service was very warm and friendly. I ordered the Big English, and my boyfriend had the Halloumi Breakfast with a side of bacon. Both were incredibly delicious, and the granary bread was fresh and generously portioned. I would recommend this place for anyone looking for a nice breakfast or brunch spot.

I stop here for a coffee when out cycling in Essex. There is outside seating at the back in the garden. There isn't many vegan options but they were happy to throw something together that worked. Staff ate always friendly. I would recommend. 😁😁

I'm vegan and could not even get a salad sandwich on any kind of bread. The person serving seemed indifferent and advised they didn't have that option. Doesn't take much to make a salad sandwich but no flexibility. Was a slight smirk from the person serving too, I felt unwelcome.

Lovely breakfasts & great service

Blandest food I've tasted in my life, very overpriced for what it is. I had the Pollo Milanese and even asked for extra chilli, couldn't taste a thing. Nice vibe but would only return for the drinks.

Absolutely disgusting. Staff are on their phones. Bacon Is over cooked aswell as the eggs. Scrambled eggs are like plastic. Would never come again.

Not at all covid safe. Visited Sunday morning. Staff had masks which were not covering nose and mouth, tables were too close together and not once did I see a table wiped never mind disinfected between customers.👎

Loved this little deli. Great villagey location. Extremely varied menu with tons of choices from savoury to sweet. Gorgeous fresh smoothies. Very reasonable prices too. Will go back and bring friends.

Unfortunately didn't have the full menu available. The breakfast wrap was okay, although the egg was quite bland. The hash brown bites were very tasty!

Food is always good, but service is generally poor, slow with most staff completely uninterested.

Visited because they provide breakfast for the adjacent Blue Boar Inn in the mornings. Some confusion seems to exist between the hotel which stated the opening hours to be later because of Covid 19, at 08.00 but in fact was 08.30 so not much good for business travellers. It's a very nicely restored c17 building with exposed timbers and oak floor with seating inside and outside and it opens daytime as a deli café and a bistro at night. Breakfast was good quality, quantity and price, certainly for London prices. Staff very friendly, has the feel of a community café and a wide ranging menu. I guess they're associated with the florist next door owing to the fabulous floral display (silk) all around the windows and doors. A nice touch. Would have attracted 5 stars if I hadn't had to wait an extra half hour to get my morning tea...

Lovely cafe with plenty of inside and outside eating. Good atmosphere and often busy. Food good value and excellent. They are doing take away pizzas at the moment that are spot on.

Had the most amazing evening at Blue Boar Deli pizza "boardelis" the service and food was excellent, I had penne arabiatta, the pasta was nice and firm and the sauce authentic and spicy! My friend had the gone truffling pizza, when it arrived the smell was amazing and I asked her if I could try it..... Wow, the best pizza I have ever tasted, so rich and different. WELL DONE STAFF XXX

Lovely deli, great food, nice ambience.

Staff are nice. Have had breakfast here a few times. I try something different each time and will definitely go back to see what else they have to offer. Toilets are ok. If you are parking in the pub next door you have to make sure you tell the staff and give them your car number plate so you don't get a ticket.
