Attended a tasting menu for valentines evening g . Food was lovely and the staff where very attentive but unfortunately although private dining there was another couple who was there and was very very loud and completely controlled the whole evening. Couldn't hear what the staff was telling us about the courses and didn't even have a conversation with my partner as i couldn't hear him. Considering the cost I would have thought the staff could gave told them to keep the noise down as other people in the joining resturant also mentioned the noise as this was also our 41st wedding g anniversary it totally spoil our evening I know it wasn't the resturant fault but I think the manager should have step in. Another couple who was there also didn't enjoy the experience either because of the same problem

Very unfortunate when the owner cooks the pizzas, they’re always sloppy and undercooked dough, (it’s not just a one time thing it’s always ) , when the actual chef is in there he can cook really good ones at times..it’s like a gamble coming here, never no what your gonna get .

Well decorated, comfortable venue. The waitress was attentive and cleaning constantly. We went for the £55 meal for two which had plenty of tasty meat all piping hot and includes a glass of wine/beer/soft drink each. We had an additional desert which was £7 and a coffee which was not only just £3 but very well made to the point I had to tell the person that made it. Will definitely be returning with friends.

We’ve been using this Indian takeaway for over 20 years, about 12 years ago we had a not great meal, that’s the only time in 20 years. Not many restaurants would match that. Great food great service and good value. Try the Tandoori mixed grill.

Went in for an impromptu lunch on a Saturday afternoon as a party of 3 including an infant. Was seated immediately by a rather timid server. We weren’t offered any baby chair so I parked up our small pram and spent the rest of our experience juggling them on my lap (not great but fine). We ordered some robata options as well as the tempura prawns and the lunch option of the bao buns. The robata we ordered consisted of the chicken thigh and the wings. Both were absolutely delicious! If I had to be a bit picky I would have liked the wings with a little more char on them but they were delightful. Each had about 3 portions (cubes or wings) on a skewer. The tempura prawns was again amazing. The batter was light, airy and not greasy and I could have happily ordered another portion as we were unfortunately sharing. My companion had the bao buns on the lunch option which was 3 varieties. I did partake in a bite of chicken katsu which was nice enough but the chicken was not up to the same standard as the robata. I would recommend this place in a heart beat and unlike the bustle of Epping high street is a nice and serene little place with narrow seating but a simple atmosphere and more importantly tasty food at a reasonable price.

Visited Harley's for the first time. I was awkwardly only one of two customers an hour before closing time however rather than being blasé, they treated me like royalty. All day breakfast was available on the menu which I was craving for. The decor and ambience is very pleasant and not over the top with outdoor seating available in the warmer climate. However, on a bright day looking in from outside it can look closed due to the moody lighting inside. I would recommend more signage or indication of being open when looking at a glance from outside, especially in colder seasons when outdoor seating is not used. Overall I was overly impressed by the politeness of the staff, quality of the food and drinks and the speed I got served. Will definitely be going again!

The food was nice but nothing special considering the price.....atmosphere? Only two tables dining and we were one of them......considering they weren't busy the service was awful....the waitress was abrupt and unhelpful when asked questions regarding the menu, never meal checked us,and took my plate without asking if we were all finished....just assumed that because two of the diner's at my table had finished it was ok to throw a dirty napkin on my plate and go to remove it....I told her I hadn't finished and she claimed to have asked us first.....then asked me if I wanted the plate back, not sure if that included the napkin lol.....I wouldn't go back nor recommend

This is such a lovely traditional country pub. It was very busy but we received friendly service from the landlord. A zero alcohol Guinness and a glass of Rioca and two steak and ale pies. Very fair price for home cooked food. The pies were delicious - the steak was tender and the pie was very filling and flavorsome. Served with thick proper chips, peas and the most delicious honey roasted carrots and parsnips. We will definitely return. We found it by chance after not being able to get a table in another 2 pubs. A great location for walks in Epping Forest.

Roza used to be our favourite Turkish. However it has gone downhill in recent times. Our last two orders have had missing items. We ordered the filo parcels for £6.50 I would expect more than three, it never come with the sweet chilli sauce. My chocolate brownie dessert was the smallest slither and came without ice cream. Again, for £6.50 I would expect much more. All the hot food and bread was stone cold. We didn’t receive a large pot of garlic sauce we paid extra for. We were told it would be around 40-50minutes, it turned up 20minutes later than that. All in all a very disappointing experience, cold food, long wait, over priced, missing multiple items, poor quality control or care.

RestoBistro is Epping’s best kept secret, nestled at the southern end of the high street. The food is absolutely delicious, all homemade. An independent restaurant with extremely high standards. The chef and management put on various special themed nights which are always fantastic. I particularly like the Sunday Roasts which are the best for miles around.

Our group of 8 had quite a bad experience dining in this place at Christmas 2024 and i wanted to share it. I contacted the owner in the first instance who initially, was keen to resolve our issue but later decided to ignore me and any follow up messages. I contacted the owner via Facebook to try and sort out the issue with an overcharge made during a xmas meal back in December 2024 but have been let.down and fobbed off with multiple excuses of them being too busy and unable respond due to staff illness. Here's my original review: Nice traditional pub setting with good atmosphere, but food and service were quite disappointing. Sunday roast was okay but barely warm, as it was late in the day we put up with it. Starters are quite plain and overpriced. The prawn cocktail was tasteless with no dressing and bread with no butter. Burgers were probably the best thing on the menu. Service was quite poor, and we were constantly asking for missing items. Some items that were ordered were not available, but we were still charged for them. We were also overcharged on drinks bill. Unfortunately we didnt realsie until we got home and checked our reciept. I would not return or recommend this place.
