RestoBistro is Epping’s best kept secret, nestled at the southern end of the high street. The food is absolutely delicious, all homemade. An independent restaurant with extremely high standards. The chef and management put on various special themed nights which are always fantastic. I particularly like the Sunday Roasts which are the best for miles around.

Its possible it was just an off night but we ordered takeaway from here and got literal fried slop. I can not believe this food is prepared by a chef! I am not one to ever write reviews like this especially with local business but i am shocked at the food that came. I am sorry but this is unnacceptable to serve this. First and last time ill ever order from here. Shocking shocking food

What a lovely little gem. I came here on a recommendation and it didnt disappoint the food was fantastic and so was the service. Went for bruschetta to start and melt in the mouth, fall off the bone ribs for mains. Would forgo the starter next time seeing the portion size of the ribs! Ribs glazed with a side pot of jack daniels sauce, a bit sweet and a lovely depth of flavour. The chips had that real potato taste too. Lovely staff and a lovely evening. Would definitely go back.

I'm sorry . This is pub grub / chain restaurant food . Menu is too extensive. Fried food. Awful. Disappointing.

Reasonable food by way too overpriced! Example, the Caesar salad - nice amount of chicken and salad leaves, but not much else, with a price of £16. Service was very good, although it wasn’t very busy at the time. Shame, as I would have expected more for the price.

This fantastic restaurant is often overlooked as it’s at the end of the high street. My husband lived in the US for 10 years but says the ribs are the best he has ever tasted. We’ve eaten here three times and each time the food (and ribs) have been consistently amazing. (Have the ribs with the Jack Daniels sauce). I have had the Sunday roast on a couple of occasions and both times has been extremely good. Staff are really lovely as well.

Looked up Restaurants on Trip Advisor and this came up with lots of stars so we dropped in for an early Sunday lunch and having been told there was Roast Beef we both opted for that and asked for it to be rare. When it arrived it was cooked to perfection and I suspect that they cut the number of slices of sirloin required and then grilled it as it had grill marks on the meat. All I can say is brilliant! Good Roast potatoes and Yorkshire Pudding. Plus cauliflower, parsnips, carrots and broccoli, although all slightly overcooked. good service fro a very pleasant weaitress.

Must say I have lived in Epping many years and used to come here my last experience was not very good many years ago and I never came back until Valentines day evening. Glad I came back and will def be coming back again the ribs was too die for amazing and so tasty and so many of them!!!

We have been eating out in Epping for quite a while and only chanced upon this restaurant by browsing on trip advisor. I have to say the food was superb (we had the skate wings on the special menu). The staff were friendly and attentive. All in all a fabulous diner. I would definitely recommend.

Had heard about this Bistro from friends who live in Epping and go there regularly so decided to go with them one night, all that they said about the place was true Nice location, parking in the street, Varied menu, excellent quality food, nicely presented and served Good service Highly recommended

Went in today for a meal as we had our friends over from Belgium,wanted to take them to somewhere nice and yet again this was a perfect meal,can’t fault anything..thank you

I was absolutely blown away by this place. Everything about it was excellent, the decor, the staff, the background music... especially the food! Living in the US, I’m used to great food and generous portions, which you don’t often find in the UK. Here we both had the Crispy duck wrap, it comes with 2 generous sides and wow... it was incredible! The lady serving us was so friendly and I cannot wait to come back and try something else from the menu! This is a hidden gem! Thank you RestoBistro!

Lived in Epping for 2 years and never been, so last night we decided to give this little place a try. We were very surprised and had a great meal! Great menu choices - almost too much to decide between. The Goats Cheese & Pear starter was gorgeous! My husband had the chicken tempura starter which he loved! The restaurant was very quiet when we arrived with only 2 tables, but by the time we were leaving another 5 groups turned up. The poor man (I think the Owner) was rushed off his feet on his own bless him. A little pricey for what it is but very nice & would visit again.

My wife and I have always enjoyed this restaurant but do not seem to get the chance to visit as much as we would wish. On this occasion we were joined by my sister and niece on a Saturday evening and, if anything, enjoyed our meal even more than usual. We all had different starters from the "specials" board - a VERY generous portion of large prawns in a prawn cocktail, an equally generous portion of Gravadlax, fillet of trout with Russian salad and Haloumi with water melon. Every dish received glowing reviews. Three of us had ribs and they were excellent as always and a real revalation for my sister and niece who said they were the best ribs they had ever had. My wife had rotisserie chicken breast which was declared delicious but a little on the dry side - she should perhaps have gone for the chicken thighs that she has had previously. All the side dishes were good - nice fries, delicious sweet potato fries, very garlicky mushrooms, really excellent onion rings and nice, plainly cooked, "snappy" sugarsnaps. Three of us finished with cheese and biscuits. Although there was nothing exotic in the selection (St.Augur, camembert, bavarian smoked, port salut, emmental and a nice anonymous hard cheese), the portions were generous and the cheeses were all in good condition. The camembert was nicely soft and, most importantly, they were all served at room temperature. There was some nice wine at reasonable prices and drinks on the house at the end of the meal (when I said that I did not want my free drink the manager very kindly removed the final glass of wine I had had from the bill - a lovely touch!) In fact the service was excellent and attentive throughout - even to the extent of bringing the cheeses from the kitchen to the table to show us when we asked what cheeses were in the selection. We were in the restaurant for over three hours, enjoying the wine between courses, and the time just flew by which is the ultimate proof of an enjoyable evening. I have never understood why, from time to time, this place receives negative reviews - usually referring to the service and prices. Firstly, we have never experienced anything other than excellent, friendly service. Secondly, at first blush, the prices on the menu may appear a little on the high side but, when portion size, quality, and the inclusive side dishes are taken into account, prices are quite reasonable. They are certainly favourably comparable with other restaurants in Epping High Street (If you consider the prices here to be steep; perhaps the fish and chip shop or take away Kebab down the road would be more in your price range......) RB is an important and unique element of our Epping dining options so we hope they are here for many years to come.

Just got home from lunch at RB and amazed to read the bad reviews on here! Been so many times and never had a bad meal! Found the girls always friendly and the food cooked perfectly! I had Chicken thighs today with the side dishes and left full up and satisfied. Don’t let any reviews put you off, try it for yourself

Stopped by at Saturday lunchtime 28th april. Greeting was warm and friendly, and we were quickly seated and well looked after.

Overpriced crap!! Terrible staff,we had to keep getting up and going to ask for stuff while the staff sat at the end of the bar eating. One other table had people on it,a creepy looking man ( estate agent I think) with two women drinking bottles of wine and eating cheese, he was treated like some kind of plastic gangster by the owner I think at one point he kisssed he’s ring.. yet when we with our 5 year old and 6 month old girls asked for anything,we where looked at with confusion and contempt. I ordered the rib eye steak at £23.99 and it was served with a small bowl of oven chips and one lettuce leaf, I asked for rare and got well done (literally)!!!

Ate here with friends last week and the food was seriously delicious! Staff were very attentive and to top a lovely evening off , we got 20% off our bill! I believe this was a ladies night offer, so we’ll definitely be coming back. Thank you!!

Came here for dinner after a gap of several years and I now know why. Very average food and overpriced. The fact that on a Friday night only four tables were taken should have rung warning bells. Better places to eat on epping and we will not be going back.

We have been going there for years. Food is great, location is great, staff are just fantastic. Keep it up.

We have visited this restaurant several times and most recently this month. The food is always really good and the portions are exceptionally generous. The staff always offer to package any leftovers to take home. The menu is very varied so there is something for everyone.

Went in for an evening meal with my partner, the place only had 2 other small tables which was strange but we were glad it wasn't busy so there wouldn't be a wait for food. We shouldn't have bothered. There were 2 female staff on, but 95% of the time we were in there both of them were either sat at a table eating dinner together or stood at the bar with their food! Soo unprofessional! If you're going to eat at work at least go 1 at a time! We wanted to order a drink, couldn't. We didn't want to have to get up from our mains to walk over and ask them while they're sat eating for a drink because that's just embarrassing for them. So we didn't have a drink. We wanted to order some extra sides with our mains but couldn't get anyone's attention. We didn't get a check back on our food. Really appauling customer service. The kitchen seemed to be getting their attention when something needed taking, so we tried to get someones attention when they walked past after putting the food down on another table. The waitress blatently saw me but kept walking back to sit down with her food! In the end my partner managed to get someone's attention to order some more chips, but by now we'd eaten half our food and when they came it was another ten minutes which is crazy on a night with so few customers, so we'd already completely finished our meals, so that was a waste of even more money, I didn't eat them. It was a really rubbish awful experience. But the steaks were nice. Maybe the staff were having an off night, but they looked very comfortable acting like that while on shift. If I was running a business I wouldn't pay staff to behave like that. We could also see them standing around gossiping together. It really was just embarrassing. And a shame because the food was nice. But paying that much for it, there needs to be a million times better service. Ridiculous.

The second time I’ve been to this restaurant and was brilliant. Everything was spot on. The food was incredible especially the ribs so compliments to the chief. The staff were very friendly and professional. I would definitely recommend you come to this restaurant!

I have always been wary of a restaurant that does not have an identifiable cuisine and have always been disappointed when going to a restaurant specialising in a particular cuisine that goes off piste with an alternative option. RB is a restaurant with no identifiable cuisine and the menu is global. The only reason for finally visiting was the recommendation of an acquaintance. Unfortunately my worst fears were confirmed. Dishes described as "tempura" were in fact deep fried in bread crumbs and certainly not chef created but most likely mass produced out of a catering pack. Avoid the noodles dishes at all costs, truly dreadful. The wine reasonably price but not an extensive wine list and all the food options way over priced for exceptionally mediocre offerings. A one and only visit and went home for some delicious home cooked toast!!!!!

I am a member of The Rotary Club of Epping who use this excellent establishment almost every Tuesday lunch and I cannot fault the value, the food, the staff or the venue.

Very friendly and helpful staff. I have been several times and the food has always been very delicious. Although expensive worth the money. They also do takeaway food which is very reasonable.

Que puede parecer caro, pero en comparación con un sitio como TGI Fridays en precio y calidad, son mucho mejor! El puré de cebolla de primavera y los guisantes son azúcar snap el perfecto acompañamiento para la salsa Jack Daniels en las costillas.

Este restaurante le falta ambiente, y aunque la comida está bien, no tengo ni idea de cómo pueden justificar cobrar £24 para una costilla de puerco. Todo el menú es caro y no se puede sino sentir revienta cuando la factura llega y fuimos con una enorme cantidad de dinero para una experiencia. Este lugar sería mejor si redujo su precio y se inyecta un poco de ambiente en el restaurante.

My boyfriend and I always come here. We also visited with my boyfriends family for my birthday. The food is gorgeous. The ribs are my bf fave, they literally fall off the bone, and he loves the JD sauce! I always have the salmon fillet, it's so tasty and juicy, beautifully cooked every time. The restaurant is cosy and service is excellent. Look forward to seeing you again soon!

My wife and I do not eat here often but once or twice a year we make the pilgrimage so that I can get my "rib fix", The only reason we do not visit more frequently is that we do not eat out locally very much, other than curries.The ribs are substantial and extremely tender. My wife had the chicken legs which had a BBQ taste and were very moist. Their approach to dishes such as these is to serve good portions of very nicely cooked meat and accompany them with a large range of separate sauces (we had piri-piri and satay respectively). This is a very easy way to offer a big selection of combinations but it works very well.We have been coming here over several years and so consistent has it been that I could have written more or less this same review for any visit! In summary, what comes to mind in respect of this and any of our other visits is; Reliability/ friendly, efficient service/ substantial portions of good food/ quite expensive, but not outrageously so (particularly bearing in mind the size of the portions).Probably the best restautant in Epping High Street (although we haven't tried Pivaz or the new Japanese restaurant yet).

This restaurant came recommended by a friend so I was shocked by the standard of food served. I had Pate - absolutely awful. Had a thick layer of what I can only think was 'fat' on top. Couldn't scrap it off. The pate had a dark outer layer (which I think you only get on 'old' pate?!)My belly of pork was inedible. I left it all. Unappealing mountain of mash potato covered in a thick gross gravy. My daughters tomato pasta tasted of water and sugar. Most odd. Couldn't eat it.My other daughter had the spit roast chicken. She ate it. The chips were cheap oven chips. What I would expect from McDonald's.My husband liked the king prawn starter but his pork belly main was the same as mine. Inedible.We left not chancing dessert.Will never return. Such a waste of £100.

This is well presented restaurant, spotlessly clean linens, unobtrusive service and very good food. The portions are huge - even the starters are big but it's all very good. Try the lamb shank on a bed of mash - lovely!

What a great find and so close to home.A warm and friendly greeting on arrival. Was quiet when we first arrived, but filled up in no time and though it was completely full, it was very comfortable, and you could still hear yourself talk. Service was really good, friendly and helpful, and though the place was full there was no issue with waiting for anything. Great menu and so much choice that was hard to decide what to have, but was extremely happy with my choices as food was delicious and very good sized portions, in fact was so full up that unfortunately desert had to be given a miss. Also was quite reasonable for the amount of food and alcohol, and soft drinks consumed. Great place, great food would highly recommend and will definitely return.

I've been eating in Restobistro for years now and can honestly say I've never had a bad meal. This restaurant offers quality food and exceptionally good service! The waitresses are very attentive without being over the top. It's without doubt, the best place to eat in Epping. Give it a go!

One of our favourite restaurants, the food is always outstanding and although one of the more expensive along the high street; the portions and quality of the food is representative. We have moved away from the area now so we don't go as often as we would like but it's still considered a treat we would travel over 1 hour to get to. The ribs are particularly good, they literally fall off the bone and the choice of sauces is good. The jack Daniels is a particular favourite. This place, I like to think is a real restaurant where they cook things freshly and deal with people fairly, it's a shame to see other reviewers comments about waiting times and service - its a bistro and operates as one, it's more relaxed and you need to wait for the food to be cooked. That's fine with me as I hate the 30-45 minute meals in chain restaurants so it's nice to take your time, enjoy the occasion and not be rushed.

Had a lovely evening, good atmosphere and the food was top quality. Mussels to start, a good size portion. Lamb shank special, the gravy was very tasty and the portion size very generous. Unlike me I had a desert, the salted caramel ice cream was particularly lovely!Will definitely return!

I have lived in Epping for over 30 years, I have always bemoaned the lack of good restaurants, I don't know why I have only been here once before. Went last minute on Sunday evening. The service was excellent and so was the food, good selection, although for me too much food! It is a pleasant change in Epping , a proper restaurant, not cheap, but I will not leave it so long before m next visit. Deserves I higher ranking, compared to some in Epping

First Class Sunday Roast with all the trimmings and a great choice too for the kids. Relaxing surroundings with a contemporary feel and light background music to complement the visit. Welcoming smiling staff on hand only happy to help, a truly happy experience and one I would definitely recommend to all.

We are regular customers and last visited for Sunday lunch with friends. The Atmosphere is relaxed not too noisy so ideal for chatting with friends we have not seen for a while. Staff really friendly and food consistently good. Recommend the Seabass ( superb). Will return very soon.

Average Food not worth the inflated prices. Can't think of a restaurant in Epping with worse food. Service wasn't great although they seemed to like the locals better than us, and when I'm paying £24 for just a steak (It did come with one leaf of lettuce) i don't expect the mayo or ketchup to come in a paper cup. An identical paper cup to the Mcdonalds up the road. The ketchup was for the fries not the steak just to be clear, I'm not a barbarian. Also when I ordered a 2nd beer a clean glass would be nice as per every decent restaurant or pub I've ever been in.

We visited as a large group of 10 and had a very nice meal. The service was very good and didn't have to wait too long for food and drinks.The menu is pretty vast so I would be surprised if anyone struggled to find something they like. It isn't the cheapest of restaurants but the portion size is very good. One disappointing part of the night was when our mains came, quite a few people ordered the ribs but with different sauces. The waitress gave my wife the wrong one so my wife told the waitress who took it back to the kitchen and brought out the correct one. The waitress then brought out another one for a friend and that was the wrong and it was then we realised the original one my wife got was for my friend and vice versa. From our side this wasn't a problem as a big party we understand the waitresses may have got mixed up with who's is who, but we were upset that she rolled her eyes and huffed when we mentioned this as she originally had to go back and forth to the kitchen to rectify it rather than a simple dish swap on the table. We were made to feel like it was us that made the mistake when it was actually hers which was a shame.As I said, this was only a small issue but was a very unnecessary response from her. Overall it was a lovely evening and we will be returning

The name is misleading as ther doesn't appear to be any bar area, to display the dual-pupose, however, the menu offerings does seem to attack a British cuisine by expanding the choice of options, for exampel a Bruschetta or a Burger would be offere wiht a number of slices , toppings, and options....we need to return at pick to see the service under stress, but we're confidant than the kitchen management can deliver its endSirloin rumpiness is allto bare, perfectly cooked as requested yet needed rosemary for example its dleivery, as with the calamarai, balanced throught out but the batter needed something to remember it by

Came here and waited 20min and still no one came to take our order so we left and I don't even think they noticed. If you like not to be noticed when you come to a restaurant then this is the place for you.

I've visited RestoBistro in January 17 with my girlfriend, this restaurant was recommended by friends. The dining room is very pleasant and with good and neutral decor, good touch with white table cloths for a Bistro. Ambience was great and pleasant. For a restaurant in main street doesn't stand out when you walk through the street, maybe should have something to call your attention but as soon as you walk in is very nice and pleasant. Food is great and average prices for good quality, had Steak and was wonderful, cooked as requested.... shame that you need to pay extra for sauce but.... Service wasn't great as expected but was Ok, Overall was a great experience and definitely will go back.

The title says it all. We have never had a bad meal there and their pork chop is incredible and don't get me going in their ribs.

Went here for a girly lunch , was pleasantly surprised at the good quality of food and generous portions , the service was good and we wasn't rushed or bothered unnecessarily , which is what I like . Everyone enjoyed their meal .Plenty of variety on the menu and was reasonably priced . Will definitely recommend and am looking forward to going back . You can park in tescos opposite also which is handy !

We have lived in Epping for 10yrs and have never visited this restaurant.I have always admired the decor from the road and thought it was time to try.We sat outside on a wonderful summers afternoon with a white table clothed table making the ambiance feel slightly special.The staff and decor didn't disappoint.However sadly the restaurant have out priced themselves from the market £17.95 for a simple chicken Caesar salad seems pricey although very tasty and the crab stater was divine.We would definitely return however with prices so high we wouldn't rush.Please take note RB if you lowered you prices I'm sure your restaurant would be jam packed.

had been recommended RB and always wanted to try it so booked up for our wedding anniversary. In all the meal was very good (pate to start followed by ribs although wish they were the sticky variety personally) , wife had fishcake followed by Steak.Ice cream and cheesecake to finish = not cheap at £105 **do check your bill as we were charged for 2 beers and 2 large wines when we only had 1 beer ,1 coke and 1 large/1 small wine*also far too much pate for the bread given so when I asked for some more was surprised to see was charged another £2 plus for this ...either give less pate or more bread with it ...would come back however.

Took wife and friends here again last week and still cannot fault the food and the great staff, we love the menu and quality of the food

Had lunch here mid week and was very pleasantly surprised how good and honest the food was. We opted for the set lunch at just £14 and I chose the rack of ribs with Jack Daniels sauce which was divine this included two sides from a wide selection, I took the Caesar salad and home style coleslaw. Can honestly say these were the best ribs I have ever had, the sides were too much to get through, so great value for money. Do check the daily specials on board which looked very enticing. Christian, the French owner is a most welcoming host and so we will be going back soon.

We booked for a group of 20 during the week and were warmly greeted upon arrival. As the restaurant was quieter than at weekends we could take our time and have a couple of drinks before taking our seats which was really great as it gave plenty of time for all to arrive, there was no time pressure at all. We all chose from the menu rather than pre-order so a wide range of meals were chosen. Compliments to the chef and staff who prepared and served everything faultlessly, each meal was cooked perfectly and somehow they managed to serve us all at the same time.A really excellent evening with great food, service and atmosphere, thank you!

We are in the Epping area several times a year and if there in the evening we tend to eat at Restobistro. This unpretentious restaurant is located on the Main Street with free parking nearby usually readily available in the evenings. Service very friendly, wide choice of dishes, quality food, always prepared to make minor adjustments to dishes if requested, friendly buzz of people but not too tightly packed in, reasonable value. Well recommended.

This restaurant was recommended by our accountant, unassuming really but we were very impressed by the quality of the food with a good selection of specials and main menu and wines for a smallish brasserie. The crab and avocado vinaigrette was very good but the main course of rack of ribs was superb. We were advised to have the lunch portion as we were having a starter but even then it was a huge amount. We were also advised to have the Jack Daniels sauce which was terrific. As the menu says you only need a knife and fork to eat them as the meat literally falls off the bone. Quite honestly they are the best ribs I've ever eaten.

The food is good and the service is on par with the food too. The menu has been the same for sometime now but I suppose it is a case of if it ain't broke then don't fix it.

Went with my family for Sunday lunch - lovely food in a relaxed environment. We had a la carte instead of Sunday roast and the choice was amazing! Could have chosen many dishes on the menu and we were all happy with our choice. Also lovely cocktails to start - great service we weren't rushed and were made to feel welcome and comfortable - we will be back!

We managed to get a last minute booking on a Saturday night due to a cancellation. We had 3 of the main courses from the specials board which was beautifully presented and good quality. The menu was extensive especially considering the small dining room.The food arriving at the other tables also looked good and everyone seemed to be enjoying the food and ambiance. The red house wine was very good and the sweets and coffee's were also very enjoyable. The staff were attentive and friendly and it was obvious why the restaurant was fully booked despite it's unimpressive facade.

Lovely little restaurant, tucked away on the High Street. Food portions are MASSIVE! Made the mistake on our first visit of ordering starters and mains and were full before the mains arrived. So second visit, we stuck to mains only (steak cooked to perfection). So either go straight to mains (though the starters ARE lovely) or don't eat all day prior to your visit! We have never managed to get to desserts but aim to one day!Great value for money and, all-in-all, a very nice place to eat. Will definitely return.

Having read the mixed reviews for this restaurant but needing somewhere to celebrate the 92nd birthday of my mother I decided to give it a go. We are not local but the menu looked good and some of the rave reviews tipped us over. When we got into Epping High Street we did nearly miss the place as it was not what we were expecting - looking more like a café than a nice restaurant. However appearances can be deceptive and the very friendly staff and warm décor made us feel a lot better. The food cannot be faulted. We had a wonderful crab and avocado salad followed by Steak (as tender and perfectly cooked as we have ever had). My mother had ribs and she said they melted in her mouth - so a happy birthday girl was the additional bonus. The desserts were to die for. All in all we had great service, absolutely excellent food and the service could not be faulted. It is a little pricey for the look of the venue but we were happy to pay the cost for such excellent food. For those who want it there is also a lunch menu at a reasonable cost. All menus and prices on the net so no surprises. We were so happy with the place we have promised my mother she can go there for her 93rd birthday....

Went with our family of 9 for lunch, moody impatient waitress seemed put out on taking orders, food arrived standard of presentation was not discieving it was a true interpretation of how it was to taste. Beef burnt black and swam in gravy (prob to hide it), yorkshire puddings black underneath and the chicken dryyyyy. Pork belly with onion gravy came out with raw onions on top of the gravy!!( the same gravy that covered the beef and chicken). Maybe the chef was off sick today but for £206 ( no starters or deserts) we left in a hurry...dont waste your hard earned cash for this mock up! coffees on the house was a poor apology , the manager/chef never made a comment....even service with a smile would of taken the edge off this over priced experience.

I booked this restaurant to celebrate my husbands 30th birthday. We booked the entire venue for a private party and can not recommend them enough. The communication between staff from my origin booking to the party itself was great. We had a party of 45 people all of whom had a three course meal and every single person said how brilliant the food was. Every table got they food at the same time and was amazing. Such fantastic quality of food. The flavours and choice is superb. Staff on the night were so attentive they couldn't do enough for all my guests. They all worked so hard to ensure everyone had a brilliant night. I have eaten here many times before but think the effort that went into this evening was faultless. Many of our guests said they shall be returning and I don't blame them with such high quality food and service.

Been in RB today and readers, this place is astonishing , excellent food, really good portions with excellent quality , the staff really extra helpful .Not a big place, but really cosy.I would say for sure this place is on my top 5 restaurants.Well done to all the staff and management .

Thirteen of us went here for our xmas lunch. We'd pre-ordered so the service was quick and efficient. Talk about HUGE portions- wow!! But more importantly the food was absolutely delicious..and cooked to perfection! I can't recommend it enough! I shall be going here again with my hubby. The only criticism.... is the outside....the signage doesn't do justice to the inside and probably why I've never been before! You'd never know it was a restaurant. Apart from this..perfecto!!

Went here last night for a Birthday meal for my partner. They were very good with the fact we kept changing the numbers (upward) during the course of the week ending up with a party of 13.I have been here only twice before so this was my 3rd visit and will definitely continue to go here. The food was excellent and the staff were lovely.I had the ribs which are to die for, the meat just falls of the bone and you hardly need to chew and I recommend having them with the JD sauce. The sweet potato fries with Maple syrup are simply scrumptious.The portions are more than ample and we were all stuffed after the main course - but many of us couldn't resist going that over indulgent extra step of having a dessert. I had the amaretto infused cherries which I really recommend you try and leave space for.It was a fantastic evening with great atmosphere, excellent food and welcoming staff, I highly recommend a visit here.

I went there last Friday for the 3rd time and the food as always was amazing, quick service, helpful and friendly staff, I highly recommend.

I hadn't been in this restaurant for almost four years and was surprised to see so much improvement since my last visit.I went there with my husband on the 21/08/2015 without any prior booking and was mesmerized with such great customer services! The three ladies working were very friendly, something we don't normally see nowadays, especially with old couple like us, and made all the difference.The food was gorgeous and such big portions, could not finish my plate, but was really satisfied.On a side note, the restaurant itself needs some upgrading, we can hardly see it on the street and from outside it looks like some sort of Asian food or so...Overall, totally recommend and will definitely come back soon! Can't wait!

Went to RB's for my sisters Birthday meal and it was a delight! The staff are so friendly and welcoming it makes you not want to leave. The food was amazing, the meat on the famous RB ribs just fall off the bone and melt in your mouth.( JD sauce)Everyone on our table of 6 had a great evening, we all tried each others food, i myself wanted to have a bit of everyones because the dishes just looked so good!The Owner has done a wonderful job in creating a lovely atmosphere which follows through to great tasting food. You definitely wont be feeling hungry after you leave! Some restaurants i have been to offer tiny portions but not at RB's thats for sure!Highly recommend visiting!

This is the secoud time we have been to RB and again very good meal ,only thing I would say is the two ladies waiting could have been a lot more frendly ,not even a smile it seemed that they did not want to be there .but the food is first class and the service was very quick .we will go again perhaps being a Saturday night they did not want to be working .

I visit here fairly frequently with work colleagues for lunch. There is an extensive lunch menu which is good value for money. The rotisserie chicken is very tasty and succulent, and there is a huge choice of sauces to go with it. I've tried the thai sweet chilli and jack daniels sauces and both were excellent.You never go hungry when you visit here as the portion sizes are very generous. Service is also great.

Wear elasticated trousers - the portions are plenty and you won't want to leave any food uneaten - too good to leave. This place is not pretentious, it has a comfortable friendly feel to it and you'll have a happy evening. Good place to bring family.

This is a lovely bistro. The food is so good.It is our birthday meal venue. Usually cannot finish as the helpings are good.

I recently had a pre-planned meal here with a group of friends and had phoned a few weeks in advance to discuss my gluten -free diet.I'm quite flexible and would have been happy to have anything suitable but the manager said just to mention my needs on the pre-order form and to remind staff on the night,which i did. Unfortunately all three courses were served with the waitress having no knowledge of the suitability of the food and she had to go back and check with the chef.With the last course she came back to me and said they'd looked at the label and it only contains milk& nuts and added "so you tell me!" What!? I couldn't believe it and told her that she should be telling me! The food I had was lovely but their knowledge is poor and the service was shocking.And not just for me-some of my friends felt the same too!

Went on a Tuesday for ladies night (33% discount for all-female tables) and half-expected the portions to be a bit smaller than the massive plates of food I've been presented with on my previous 2 visits. I was wrong! The dishes were just as generous as ever and the food itself just as delicious. I had ribs, which I don't usually like, and I can't wait to go back and have them again. I did get to have them again the next day thanks to the doggy bag the waitress offered me! My only regret was that I had no room for dessert...

Booked this restaurant for a Friday evening. Very nice inside. Friendly attentive staff.The food was good portion sizes. Lovely vegtables, but expensive for a small local restaurant in epping nearly £17 for sausage and mash. Probably wont go back.

Had been wanting to go here for a long time, as we live locally and liked both the look of the restaurant and the food advertised. After booking a meal for my husband's birthday today, have a few mixed feelings on whether or not to go back. There is no doubt that the food was very good, but to warrant the prices, I would have expected better service. Considering it was a birthday meal and we were the only people in the restaurant, we were ushered to a small table for two ( despite there being 3 of us) a few centimetres from the main entrance. After asking if we could move, we were allowed to after much deliberation. When asking for the bill and if a taxi could booked, the taxi arrived but with no sign of the bill. After asking for it again, I was told quite abruptly that I hadn't asked for the bill. Well, I've spent many a year working in a restaurant in the past and wouldn't have dreamt of coming out with that. So, to sum up, my recommendations go to the chefs but we didn't have the birthday celebration we would have liked.

We ate here Friday evening after a very special occasion we was a party of 6, 4 adults 2 children. The food was delightful huge portions and really nice, the staff were really friendly and made us feel really welcome. I noticed a comment about the price of the steak which I think is rather harsh as I've paid the same price in other restaurants for half the size. We will definitely return.

Small and friendly, with excellent food and staff to match. I ate here regularly while working in Epping, a delicious change from burgers and pizzas which are the usual Epping fare. The menu isn't huge but what they do, they do very well. Colleagues I have taken for lunch and dinner also very impressed. I particularly appreciated Ladies Night on Tuesdays with a discount for tables composed of ladies only!

We went to RB, Epping on a Saturday evening. It was absolutely packed with every table being used. The actual restaurant is not that big and so all the tables are very close to each other which isn't ideal. The food is very good but rather expensive. £28 for a steak is a bit over the top I feel. Certainly worth a visit but be prepared for a large bill!

This is a lovely little restaurant on the Epping high road we booked for 7pm on a Friday for four people the restaurant was already crowded the food was great with plenty of choice they do a lovely Greek Mezze for starters for two with mild garlic & herb chargrilled Ciabatta bread,the sirlion steak was super with a great lamb kebab. you need to book as the resaurant was very busy.

Laid out wonderfully small cosy unique best ribs I've ever had home made coleslaw to die for desert is out of this world yummy with great presentation wonderful friendly waitress with good attitude !!!! Love it

The service was friendly, attentive and very genuine. The food was exquisite and really was divine,the ribs with Jack Daniels is to die for. I will definitely be coming back. One of the best restaurants I have been. Go, you won't be disappointed!! Me and my wife loved it. Thanks to all the staff at RB.

This was our first time at RB's and we were very pleased with our choice. Epping has too many chain restaurants and so it's nice to have a unique local restaurant. We each had a different starter; a Greek meze, calamari and chicken liver pate. All were very good. For mains we had roast beef, dover sole, lamb kebab and the house speciality spare ribs. Once again all dishes were thoroughly enjoyed by all. For desserts we chose Belgian waffles and fudge cake which were beautifully presented. We enjoyed cocktails and a glass of wine each and were pleasantly surprised at a very reasonable bill of £160 for 4 people.This is a lovely place for a special occasion.

Huge portions, tasty, and very good value. Ribs - delightful. Good quality homely cooking. Sunday lunch is a winner.

Ask anyone where to eat in epping and rarely will you hear someone say Resto Bistro. This restaurant is for those in the know! I adore this place and just love coming here because I know I will get fed and get fed well! The staff are beyond reproach, welcoming, warm and helpful. I never order anything else apart from the ribs with Jack Daniels sauce and sweet potato fries, it is breathtaking how good it is. I just hope that the Resto Bistro never changes hands or tries to expand or (god forbid!!) closes!

Had dinner here with friends and was really impressed. Modern interior, but somehow cozy at the same time. Very good service with friendly efficient staff that can't do enough. Been to quite a few high end restaurants, but the food here was as good here as anywhere I've eaten and unlike a lot of those places, they give you really big portions (I kid you not). The Jack Daniels sauce is to die for. Definitely coming back to this place in the near future. In fact, I think it's my new favorite restaurant.

I hired Restobistro for a 50 person client event that we held on the day of the Tour De France - a very busy day in Epping, and for restaurant, but the staff and Christian couldn't have been more helpful and accommodating to what we needed. The event was a great success and we thoroughly enjoyed our day - the food, drink and service were all fantastic.Will definitely be returning.

Thanks for another lovely Sunday lunch. I took my Mum and Dad there to celebrate his 89th birthday. Very friendly staff, good service and food! We are back again on Thursday evening with friends - looking forward to another enjoyable meal.

Restobistro provide superb quality food and top service this evening. The staff were very attentive, the menu varied and interesting and above all the food was gorgeous. If we had to criticise we would say it is very slightly on the higher end of normal pricing but as the portion sizes are generous and the food is of such exceptional quality we didn't mind at all. It pained me to have to leave some of my main course, some of the best lamb I have ever eaten at a restaurant, but I just couldn't manage anymore. Overall a highly recommended restaurant; well worth a visit.

I had dinner here with four friends. Prices a little on the high side and service marginally on the slow side, hence not five stars. However, a well deserved four stars as the service was extremely friendly and accommodating to any small changes from the stated menu and the quality of the food, in each of the four main dishes we ordered, was excellent in each case. A little gem.

This restaurant offers good food and good service. The menu offers something for everyone. Wine list is good. Has a friendly modern atmosphere. Try it you will enjoy.

I got married last weekend and we had our wedding breakfast here, Best choice we made.Christian and his staff could not have done any better, all of our guest commented on how good the food was, and how well it was all presented. each plate came out hot, and each plate went back empty. I also went here for my Hen Night, and it was just the same, great food, staff excellent The guest that live locally have all said that they will return as the food was excellent.Highly recommend to everyone all ages and for any event. Its is now our fav place to go to eat.
