Incredible service, incredible food what a hidden gem this place is

Popped in for a drink and discovered the new cocktail menu, I would highly recommend giving them a try, the pizza was amazing as well, the staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Highly recommend Slice.Our first visit with friends today was an extremely pleasurable experience.Each member of staff were polite and friendly. The menu was varied and prices very reasonable.Special mention to Yusef who created deliciously tasting pizzas, the salads were great too. If in Epping call into Spice it’s well worth it 👍

Ordered for delivery and it turned up cold & sloppy. For £20 for a pizza I think it should at least be warm. I tracked the delivery as well and it was picked up on time and I only live down the road. I sent in an inquiry about it and have had no response. Really disappointed.

I recently visited Slice - Sourdough Pizza, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was extra friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza, and it was fantastic. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. Every bite was a taste of perfection! They also have a great selection of toppings and specialty pizzas, so there's something for everyone. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. If you’re in the area and craving delicious pizza, SLICE is a must-visit! 🔥🔥🔥

Very cosy and nice place. The staff is incredible and very friendly. If you are a looking to eat proper pizza in Epping this is the place. I have been trying so many places nothing beat this one in Epping. Their dough is super tasty. Highly recommend.

I looked up for delivery and the prices of pizzas are on average 6 pounds higher than what is indicated in the menu on Google and what it used to be. I don't think anyone will ever get a pizza delivered for 20 pounds.

Just had my daughter’s 18th Birthday at Slice with all our friends and family. The team could not do more they were fantastic and attentive. The Pizzas were amazing drinks flowed and the atmosphere was great. Thanks team Slice for being THE BEST

The best pizza we’ve had for a long time. We sat in the restaurant- just discovered the place - and we had two absolutely fantastic pizzas, beer and wine. The service was fantastic, we chatted with the guy (sorry, we didn’t catch your name!) and he even recommended a red wine which was super delicious. It was our first time on a Saturday evening but not the last. We’ll be back for sure! Thank you! Highly recommended place! ♥️

Went there as large group family with kids on a quiet evening , delicious food and friendly service , staff was very accommodating with the kids , menu was compact but nice , yummy pizzas , space looked small -we were lucky but may need to pre book , will definitely be our regular

This place is too good for central London, but I wish it had branches. The pizzas and starters were delicious and the truffle Mayo dip is heavenly. They supposedly use certain locally sourced ingredients like the mozzarella cheese, which is always a win. And the staff is lovely.

Greeted by lovely and attentive staff. The pizza was tasty with a nice balance of toppings. Coleslaw was fresh (gotta keep it simple sometimes!) and the garlic & herb dip was divine. The sourdough base was the highlight. Would recommend!

Slice would have been a great name for a pizza place that sold pizza by the slice haha! Pizzas lacked toppings, but the sourdough base was flavoursome and cooked well. Will be back, as while not great, best locally. 3.5 out of 5 for the food

Nothing to dislike about this place. Food, ambience and service first class. Wish we lived nearer (sadly, 2 hours away) as the brushetta and burrata were especially delicious. For those who believe Hawaiian pizza is a big no-no, I challenge you to dislike the one served here. Fresh pineapple was fab.

I had the deluxe pizza and it was absolutely delicious, the best I have tasted. I will be back to try some of the other pizzas.

The tomato sauce on the pizzas wasn’t seasoned, the vegetables would be better on the pizza if they were chargrilled for flavour and the burrata main salad was let down by being served with basic salad ingredients including a large amount of iceberg lettuce instead of mixed salad leaves, burrata is an expensive cheese and should be served with ingredients of equal measure! Sourdough pizza base was basic too, would not go back or recommend as have had far better pizzas in many other places. Expensive meal and disappointing unfortunately.

I would suggest you don't advertise your "open" on deliveroo, letting your potential customers sit there at home for 45 minutes waiting for food that isn't going arrive. We drove down too hoping we could collect our dinner. Nope all the lights are off doors closed. Maybe the owners should go back to hospitality school.

Been here a fair few times now and feel confident to give them a 5* review. Pizzas are always spot on. The staff are just lovely. Cool little place where you get quality eating in or taking away.

Absolute lifesavers - I run a wedding venue, and the caterer did not turn up for todays wedding, which is obviously horrific for the poor bride and groom. I phoned Slice and asked for 40 pizzas as fast as possible - they delivered 40 absolutely delicious pizzas an hour later and completely saved the day. Their food is incredible, their service impeccable, and neither I (nor the bride and groom!) can thank them enough! We will be recommending them to ALL our couples (and anyone else who will listen!) for time evermore!

Gone downhill, pizzas are rarely 12 inch anymore and sloppy on arrival after a ridiculously long wait. Won't be ordering again.

I gave this a 5 star rating because the food is excellent. The place is now take out only with 4 seats if you prefer to eat in. We ordered two pizza take out and one dessert. There was no cutlery to eat the dessert with, and the young lady forgot to put the sauce my husband had ordered in the bag. I know all catering has been hit, since Lockdown, and there is a lack of experienced staff - the chef knew what he was doing though, so that's the main thing.

Have ordered from here a few times the pizzas are fantastic by far the best in the area, would highly recommend.

The staff were really friendly and the bruschetta was delicious. The main event pizzas looked great but were both (carnivore and marg) bland and had very little flavour.

We always order from these guys and although sometimes little niggles - the pizza is so good so we grin and bear it. Tonight early evening on a Saturday we couldn’t order anything because that run out of pizzas!??? It’s 7pm on a Saturday. Come on guys - get some more dough. Bit disappointing.

Ok this may not be the cheapest pizza around but you won’t be disappointed. I love the thin base and the ingredients are fresh and good quality. Will definitely have a takeaway again from Slice.

Visited earlier today. The blonde girl was very courteous and she made us feel welcome. They make the pizza in front of you and you can see it all happening in real time. Pizza was ready in 10 min and it was absolutely delicious. The chef speaks Italian and he was also very friendly. I believe his name was Darek. Thank you for a lovely meal! Will definitely come back!

Cozy place with open kitchen showcasing the giant pizza oven in rustic decor. Food was great, service was more like friends than staff. Big choice of toppings and good selection of starters and sides. Food was fair priced but look out for offers, we had Thursday special, 2 pizzas and a decent bottle of red for £30... bargain

Finally, I found a perfect pizza place @Slicesourdoughpizza: Crust is not too thick, and not too fluffy Tomato sauce and mozzarella blends together as the fresh morning air The truffle and Italian sausage was not overpowering But the rocket salad and parmesan - adds the perfection The service was smooth and very kind, well done team, you are our number 1 pizza restaurant! Lovely gem just off Epping High Street serving authentic pizza and with a reasonably priced drinks menu. Staff very warm and attentive. Some of the chairs have fur throws on them too. Best part though.....dogs are allowed. 😊

The Sourdough base is amazing and the toppings are of a high quality - which taste fantastic. However the center of the pizza is a little wet (probably down to over generous sauce/cheese) so a slice doesn't hold up on its own, and I'd personally like to see slightly more options of toppings. If they fix the two above I'll up my score to 5!

Ten out of ten pizza. My pizza quest had slowed recently until Slice was mentioned, the new shop in Epping, is welcoming and has a seamless ordering system. The staff were very helpful and they have contactless and card (not sure about cash, I forgot to ask) so that's nice. Cooking time is around ten minutes but it felt fast. The pizza is incredible, the dough is light but with a good chew to it, the crispness of the outside is excellent and is ever so slightly toasted in places giving it different depths of flavour. Tomato is an often overlooking part of a pizza, but a good tomato will up a pizza's level. The tomato is good, it has richness but not overpowering. Its a nice touch when the tomato is more than just there. Cheese is also good and these few simple things make a magic whole. Price was £9 for a margherita and it is worth it. It's easily made my top ten pizza places.

Don't believe the hype - the people who have reviewed this place, know nothing about pizza. I had big expectations for this place, as its USP is sourdough pizza. Firstly let's deal with the pizza: My pizza had not been stretched properly and as a consequence, when it came out of the oven, it was an 8" pizza than a 12". Secondly, the pizza that I received was wafer-thin. I recommend that they increase the amount of dough that they use to make each pizza. Being a vegan, I ordered the 'Living on the Veg' pizza and asked them to swap out the vegan mozzarella for extra mushrooms, which they said they would do. However, when I received my pizza, there was no additional mushrooms, and the red pepper that they put on the pizza had not been sliced, I had a quarter of a red pepper sat on one slice of pizza. Also, it looked as if the mushrooms had been sprinkled on after the pizza had been taken from the oven. Location: The restaurant is located on Station Road which is super busy. The restaurant has openable bi-fold windows, and when these windows are open, you are essentially breathing in car fumes. Overall review: All in all, definitely not worth the money with a vegan pizza being £12.99, no substance to the toppings. If you want an authentic Italian pizza in Epping, go to Quore Matteo, (however, they still have their disappointments), but, if you want to have a night away from Epping, go to Moto Pizza in Chelmsford - it would close down both Slice and Quore Matteo in a heartbeat. Or, if you are in the City, head to Pizza East, Circolo Popolare, Homeslice, Pizza Pilgrims, etc. As a lasting statement, what pizza restaurant sells a truffle pizza for £27.99 In Epping - Slice you do not know your market. Il cibo era non bueno!

It’s great to be able to buy genuine Italian style pizza in the Epping area. If you’re a fan of Pizza Pilgrims or Franco Manca then this will be right up your street. A good pizza should be enjoyable even with very few ingredients. Being vegan I just have tomato and mushrooms on my Slice Pizza and it’s perfect! Kudos to the staff too, great friendly service. Being Italian I rarely get takeaways but the pizza here is so good I find myself returning again and again. My Sicilian wife is so happy now because she doesn’t have to spend half her life stirring pasta sauce.

We tried Slice a couple of days ago and really enjoyed it! James was really friendly when I picked up and we are looking forward to eating in and having some cocktails when we are allowed. Very glad to have a decent pizza place in the area!

This place is legit the best Pizza place around. Authentic Italian taste with superb ingredients. If they delivered or joined JustEat, they would be all I would eat. Thanks for saving the Epping pizza scene guys!
