Slice - Sourdough Pizza in Epping Forest

Very unfortunate when the owner cooks the pizzas, they’re always sloppy and undercooked dough, (it’s not just a one time thing it’s always ) , when the actual chef is in there he can cook really good ones at times..it’s like a gamble coming here, never no what your gonna get .

Really enjoyed the food here – the starters and sourdough pizzas were spot on. There was a small mix-up with one of the pizzas, but the staff handled it really well and brought out a fresh one at no extra charge. Friendly team and good atmosphere. Will definitely be back.

My first time at slice was unreal. By far the best pizza I have ever had!! Service was exceptional, our waitress Sophie couldn’t do enough for us and the food was cooked to perfection. Highly recommend this restaurant!!!

Slice literally serve the best pizza, my partner and I can't recommend this place enough. Great variety of pizza aswell as other dishes such as chicken wings etc. Lovely staff, lovely atmosphere, and very reasonable pricing. The Red Goat pizza is my favourite, highly recommend.

Slice is a unique experience with a fabulous cosy atmosphere. Very friendly and a one of kind restaurant. One of my favourite places to visit in Epping. Highly recommended.

Only one comment . I did not notice the specials board as it was on the wall behind me. The waitress didn’t mention it and it was not highlighted on the menu. It was a pity as I would have had it. Apart from that it was great brilliant pizza and lovely staff. We be back

Very friendly service and great pizza!

We just had a take away and we were really impressed. The person that took the order asked how long we would be so that the pizza was hot out the oven ready for us. We shared some hot wings, a truffle shuffle pizza and Freddie's bee-hive pizza, each item was packed with flavour. Highly recommend and we will be back.

Amazing sour dough with a range of toppings and freshly made. Service was above and beyond, we were looked after by Adam. We told him we were fasting (Ramadan) and he ensured the food was out prompt. Highly recommend!

Great little independent pizza place. Food and service was excellent. It's a small place so be ready to adapt. I drove 30 minutes to try this place. Well worth the trip and will definitely go again.

We got a takeaway from Slice for the first time and I have to say I was really impressed. Very quick collection time and food was fresh, high quality and delicious. Friendly customer service too. I won’t be going to Domino’s again any time soon (Domino’s = nasty ultra processed rubbish!). Highly recommend Slice!

The pizza here is excellent, and the prices won’t break the bank. I highly recommend coming here for lunch, as it’s not too busy and the owner said it gets full pretty quick in the evening. Vegetarian, Vegan and Gluten Free options are also available - so, what are you waiting for…

Went there on a Saturday with friends and couldn’t fault it . Great pizzas , starters and sides , service was spot on and they couldn’t do enough for you . Madri on tap was a nice extra bonus , can’t wait to go back .

A lovely cozy atmosphere, welcoming staff (or shall we say the owner is lovely, welcoming and very friendly). The pizzas are very delicious and the size is more than enough for a person with good appetite (namely me). I had a lovely glass of Red wine and it was only £5 for the glass!! But had the four cheese pizza and my partner had the Goat cheese and red onion pizza. Both were delicious! Recommend 100% and will be back with our daughter next 🙌🏼

Wow what an amazing hidden surprise. Service excellent, best pizza I have ever had and that's coming from a 3 Michelin star trained chef. The passion showed by the team in this small family business was proven on the service and food. Will deffo be back.

Me and my brother ate in this beautiful family run pizza place.I am not usually a massive fan of pizza and I have a dairy and gluten intolerance but the pizzas and the chicken wings were amazing and I didn’t get the same effects as I usually would with other pizzas. The guys are so friendly and welcoming we felt so comfortable we will be back soon I already know what I want to try next 😋 thank you slice for great service see you soon!

Great pizza 🍕 and even better service

Great hidden little gem just off Epping High Street. **Dog friendly** Pizzas are huge and very good, desserts also big portions and delicious. Very friendly staff. We were early and there was only one other big table there celebrating a birthday party, and their conversation tended to dominate the room so perhaps some light music for extra atmosphere? Will definitely visit again x

What an amazing find. Best pizza we have had in ages. Chicken wings were great too with some great choices of flavours we enjoyed the garlic and parmesan and sticky secret. Pizzas were mighty goat and festive special. All fantastic

Went for lunch. They weren't open yet but opened up a little early. Great service and great food. Despite running out of some ingredients, they were able to accommodate us with what they had and it didn't affect the quality. Not many sourdough pizzas around but this was up there. Chef even made my daughter a bunny pizza.

Popped in for a drink and discovered the new cocktail menu, I would highly recommend giving them a try, the pizza was amazing as well, the staff are so friendly and accommodating.

Highly recommend Slice.Our first visit with friends today was an extremely pleasurable experience.Each member of staff were polite and friendly. The menu was varied and prices very reasonable.Special mention to Yusef who created deliciously tasting pizzas, the salads were great too. If in Epping call into Spice it’s well worth it 👍

Ordered for delivery and it turned up cold & sloppy. For £20 for a pizza I think it should at least be warm. I tracked the delivery as well and it was picked up on time and I only live down the road. I sent in an inquiry about it and have had no response. Really disappointed.

I recently visited Slice - Sourdough Pizza, and I can't recommend it enough! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with a warm and inviting atmosphere. The staff was extra friendly and attentive, making me feel right at home. I ordered a classic pepperoni pizza, and it was fantastic. The crust was perfectly crispy on the outside yet soft and chewy on the inside. Every bite was a taste of perfection! They also have a great selection of toppings and specialty pizzas, so there's something for everyone. Plus, the prices are very reasonable for the quality you get. If you’re in the area and craving delicious pizza, SLICE is a must-visit! 🔥🔥🔥

I looked up for delivery and the prices of pizzas are on average 6 pounds higher than what is indicated in the menu on Google and what it used to be. I don't think anyone will ever get a pizza delivered for 20 pounds.

Just had my daughter’s 18th Birthday at Slice with all our friends and family. The team could not do more they were fantastic and attentive. The Pizzas were amazing drinks flowed and the atmosphere was great. Thanks team Slice for being THE BEST

The best pizza we’ve had for a long time. We sat in the restaurant- just discovered the place - and we had two absolutely fantastic pizzas, beer and wine. The service was fantastic, we chatted with the guy (sorry, we didn’t catch your name!) and he even recommended a red wine which was super delicious. It was our first time on a Saturday evening but not the last. We’ll be back for sure! Thank you! Highly recommended place! ♥️

Went there as large group family with kids on a quiet evening , delicious food and friendly service , staff was very accommodating with the kids , menu was compact but nice , yummy pizzas , space looked small -we were lucky but may need to pre book , will definitely be our regular

This place is too good for central London, but I wish it had branches. The pizzas and starters were delicious and the truffle Mayo dip is heavenly. They supposedly use certain locally sourced ingredients like the mozzarella cheese, which is always a win. And the staff is lovely.

Greeted by lovely and attentive staff. The pizza was tasty with a nice balance of toppings. Coleslaw was fresh (gotta keep it simple sometimes!) and the garlic & herb dip was divine. The sourdough base was the highlight. Would recommend!

Slice would have been a great name for a pizza place that sold pizza by the slice haha! Pizzas lacked toppings, but the sourdough base was flavoursome and cooked well. Will be back, as while not great, best locally. 3.5 out of 5 for the food

Nothing to dislike about this place. Food, ambience and service first class. Wish we lived nearer (sadly, 2 hours away) as the brushetta and burrata were especially delicious. For those who believe Hawaiian pizza is a big no-no, I challenge you to dislike the one served here. Fresh pineapple was fab.

I had the deluxe pizza and it was absolutely delicious, the best I have tasted. I will be back to try some of the other pizzas.

The tomato sauce on the pizzas wasn’t seasoned, the vegetables would be better on the pizza if they were chargrilled for flavour and the burrata main salad was let down by being served with basic salad ingredients including a large amount of iceberg lettuce instead of mixed salad leaves, burrata is an expensive cheese and should be served with ingredients of equal measure! Sourdough pizza base was basic too, would not go back or recommend as have had far better pizzas in many other places. Expensive meal and disappointing unfortunately.

I would suggest you don't advertise your "open" on deliveroo, letting your potential customers sit there at home for 45 minutes waiting for food that isn't going arrive. We drove down too hoping we could collect our dinner. Nope all the lights are off doors closed. Maybe the owners should go back to hospitality school.

Been here a fair few times now and feel confident to give them a 5* review. Pizzas are always spot on. The staff are just lovely. Cool little place where you get quality eating in or taking away.

Absolute lifesavers - I run a wedding venue, and the caterer did not turn up for todays wedding, which is obviously horrific for the poor bride and groom. I phoned Slice and asked for 40 pizzas as fast as possible - they delivered 40 absolutely delicious pizzas an hour later and completely saved the day. Their food is incredible, their service impeccable, and neither I (nor the bride and groom!) can thank them enough! We will be recommending them to ALL our couples (and anyone else who will listen!) for time evermore!

Gone downhill, pizzas are rarely 12 inch anymore and sloppy on arrival after a ridiculously long wait. Won't be ordering again.

I gave this a 5 star rating because the food is excellent. The place is now take out only with 4 seats if you prefer to eat in. We ordered two pizza take out and one dessert. There was no cutlery to eat the dessert with, and the young lady forgot to put the sauce my husband had ordered in the bag. I know all catering has been hit, since Lockdown, and there is a lack of experienced staff - the chef knew what he was doing though, so that's the main thing.
