WOW! The food is amazing. We ordered 6 dishes...all were amazing. The salmon was delicious. By far the best sushi I have eaten. I ordered collection and they even ran it out to the car so I didnt get a ticket. Highly recomenmd.

Really excellent food. I also asked the nice member of staff if he could turn the music down a bit (not something I normally do, but I was with my mum who has issues with hearing and cognition). He was more than happy to do so - great stuff!

I came here with my sister at lunchtime and the sashimi platter was unreal. The lychee mojito was also on point. Lovely place to relax and eat. On the slightly more expensive side but defiantly worth it for a treat. Will be back :)

Got a taster menu for 2 all the food was okay. It did taste a bit extra salty to me but then my wife said it was alright for her.

We went there with my family for my 50th birthday. The service and food were fantastic. We had a big(ish) party of 12 and they went to alot of trouble to move the furniture to make it work. We had the premium tasting menu and there was alot of food that we ended up taking some home! The staff were amazing, coping with our children and chaotic ordering! They even gave us a free glass of wine while we waited for our taxi home. Would definitely recommend.

We had the most amazing service and food. We came for a milestone birthday and it was perfect. The food was so so good and everyone was so lovely. We will definitely be back!!

It was a small Japanese restaurant with good atmosphere. I would recommend unagi (eel) rice as the main course and chicken karrage as a starter. The latter was mild spicy. It would be better if the restaurant serves bento in the evening.

Been here various times, they have always been accommodating and have adorable decorations around the restaurant. The food is very nice. We have had both take away and have eaten at the restaurant. The food has not disappointed us. The sushi is definitely worth trying. The only thing to point out is that there is nowhere to change your baby.

It's the first day of a new month, which gave myself and a colleague the thirst for some tasty east-Asian cuisine. Luckily, we stumbled upon a cute, dainty Japanese establishment that welcomed us with open arms. We had to navigate through a narrow room to find our table, which was surrounded by some beautiful artwork, really giving this place an authentic feel. After a quick browse of the menu, I opted for the 'Lunch Set' which came with a star-studded line-up. Some miso soup and chicken gyoza to start, finished off with a chicken katsu curry, all for £16! The soup was almost like a hug from your long lost nan. Cosy, comforting, delicious. The shitake mushrooms took this to another level. The chicken gyoza was delicate and crispy, quite obviously pan-fired and then steamed, the only way gyoza should be cooked (these guys clearly know what they're doing). Then the main event came out. Crispy chicken was laid upon a soft pillow of sticky rice, next to that was a katsu sauce overflowing with flavour. The sauce had a harmonious blend of savoury, sweet and tangy flavours, a true work of art by the chef. There was a party in my mouth and the Japanese were invited! This place has stolen my heart with its classy, authentic feel and its show-stopping food, I couldn't recommend it more. Wasn't too impressed with a £6.50 pint of Asahi though :(

Cosy little restaurant. Went in for Sunday lunch, good atmosphere, decent food and excellent service. Cody was extremely attentive and helpful in advising our food choices. Recommend the grilled chicken thigh skewers.

Outstanding food this evening. It was pretty busy for the staff but we weren't in a rush and the food when it came was perfect. Had a great prawn tempura for a starter, the sashimi was perfect and very tender and the tuna roll was spicy and delicious. Outstanding. Would go again if I didn't live 2 hours away. Was just passing to see some friends.

The food is the star of the show here. Top notch fresh Japanese sushi and food. Comes when it’s ready so be patient it’s a skill and craft to create it. Tasting menu is wonderful. Setting is a little lacklustre and a bit more of a a Japanese injection into the decor would be welcome, it was a little cold but some warm sake helped with that! I’m marking in the food not the restaurant itself. No glitz or glams here but there is plenty of that elsewhere in Epping come here for the food.

Really disappointing! Went once before and had a really good meal and service BUT we were the only table in there.. tonight was a different story as it was packed. Waited 1 hour 15mins for food, after chasing it they brought over cold food. I approached a man who worked there to inform him and he said okay and carried on pouring drinks at the bar. Needless to say we walked out and left and won't go back.

This is my absolute favourite place to go for a meal.. My son & I have been frequenting for a few years now & the food, atmosphere, service, staff & affordability have always top notch. As always Ivy comes up with amazing creations and a lovely birthday treat for me. I can highly recommend & can't wait to go again.

This place is rapidly becoming our go to midweek dinner venue of choice. Visited with the family and the food was, again, excellent! The service was impeccable and we were looked after by Ivy, Cody and Riot (I think that’s how it’s spelt?). All three of them were attentive without being overpowering and both the good and d rinks arrived swiftly and fabulously presented. All in all this is a must visit venue Guys! Make sure you book as it’s getting busier and busier! Enjoy!

We had ordered takeaway from here before and knew that the sushi was lovely but the dine-in experience was even better. We tried the Set Menu for 2 and it was simply amazing. Everything was cooked to perfection. And really tasty. Highlights: mushroom croquettes, sea bass ceviche, prawn tempura, sashimi, chicken citrus miso butter When we order takeaway we usually order the 12pcs sashimi set and a selection of uramaki. We'll definitely be back!

One of my favourite restaurants in Epping. The food is always delicious and fresh, and there is so much to choose from on the menu. Lovely atmosphere and seating, staff are always very friendly and polite, despite how busy it gets. I have returned to this wonderful little place many times, and will continue to in the future. Highly recommend.

This restaurant is truly a hidden gem. The food is delicious with great variety and freshness. Went for the spicy tuna maki, dragon maki (must-have!) and California maki , all of them were freshly made to order and delicately prepared. The miso aubergine was also tasty. Staffs were really sweet and friendly, I will definitely be returning.

Ordered unagi Donburi, California roll and veg tempura for Lunch and I'm really impressed with the quality of the food and the taste. Staffs are also very friendly. Very pleasant experience.

Sashimi and maki rolls are absolutely gorgeous! Softshell crab and beef tataki are highly recommended! would defo return!

Moving out of London was so difficult to find a good quality japanese restaurant and we found this place close to our home. Food was sooooo good! Authentic japanese food good for the soul 😍... Chicken skewer teriyaki, chirashi and sushi selections were created beautifully. Every bite was worth it! Will be a local favourite from now on when i crave 👌. Staff was very polite and friendly. Always attended to our needs. Thank you!!!

Had a great lunch here today. Both of us tried the bento box, my sister the vegetable tempura, which came with chicken gyoza, myself the katsu, which came with prawn and vegetable tempura. The boxes came with rice, seaweed salad on spinach, mayo, and katsu sauce on the rice with mine. We shared some edamame beans to start. Tempura was so light and crisp, and all delicious. Service warm and professional, want to go back and try their tasting menu one evening. Lots of different flavours and dishes. À welcome addition to the dining options in Epping.

This is the best Japanese I have ever had. And I have been to many. Everything is freshly and authentically made. When we were there previously, I asked if they had hand rolls and they had not. Guess what? We came a few months later and there were hand rolls! And we were even asked when we want them as the cook wanted to make sure the seaweed on the outside did not get soft while waiting for its turn. Great place, Epping should be very proud.

First time here, thought I'd give it a try for lunch and had the following: matcha tea, chicken bao, miso soup and chicken katsu donburi. Overall, service was welcoming and friendly and food came quickly, but maybe too quickly, as I was a little disappointed with the flavours (bao a little dry and lukewarm, tea flavourless and miso soup very salty), however, the chicken katsu was pretty nice. Would give them the benefit of the doubt and return to try the sushi :)

Tragic customer service, the waiting time is very long and people who came after us got food first. Also our order got to other table once and we were given wrong order once. The order of the food was also odd. I felt I wanted to leave. The sushi is very tasty, next time I would rather order take away.

We’ve eaten here twice in the last two weeks. As a group of friends we chose from the menu, and for an anniversary meal we had the excellent tasting menu. Beautiful food and much better value than the West End or Mayfair. Judge from the photos, which sadly can’t convey the subtle truffle flavour of the seabass ceviche! The individual dishes look somewhat dainty, but the maki rolls are both tasty, texturally interesting and filling! Service could not have been better. On the first occasion we were moved to the cooler upstairs room and on the second even given a fan to supplement the breeze (it was an exceptionally hot day on both occasions). So glad that Ivy and Gabriel have brought their talent to Epping! Agree with others that while some of the drinks are a bit pricey, the Vermentino white wine is delicious and excellent value.

Very tasty and fresh food. One of the best sushi restaurant around Harlow and Epping. Cosy and cute small restaurant. The gentleman has served us very well and he was very friendly! Amazing service! There was another waitress who served us as well but she was not as friendly as him but that's okay... overall this is a perfect place for dine in. Highly recommended 👌

Good service and fantastic food.

Amazing dishes that are very authentically Japanese. Superb quality fish for the sashimi and amazing chicken karaage. There is a great selection of classic and modern sushi. Would recommend the soy pannacotta with caramelised hazelnuts for dessert 👌🏼

This place is amazing. Some of the best sushi I’ve ever had (makes sense as the owners spent years as chefs at Roka in London). Yakimono, dragon and California maki rolls were awesome. Sushi def star of the show, although the other Japanese dishes were all delicious as well (eg Prawn tempura, chicken gyoza, chicken skewers). We need to try the sea bass ceviche next time and more of the sushi. Owners were lovely and very passionate about their food, which you can tell in the quality. Great little spot and we’ll continue to recommend to our friends.

Have to say the Ito-san (sushi chef) is probably not Japanese. The food was ‘OK’ but the cut of the fish gave it away. Taste and choice if selection were good but price of pint of Asahi was £7.50 (ouch).

First visit on a busy Friday night. Not disappointed. Very busy inside which is really nice to see for a new local business offering a menu like no other on the high street. Politely welcomed by the host, upon looking around the restaurant we could see it was at full capacity but luckily managed to get a table for two as another couple were leaving. The menu is really outstanding and actually rather intricate, even if you’re not a fan of sushi, the steak and vegetarian alternatives are not only cooked to a Mayfair standard - they are also delivered in swift fashion by enthusiastic servers. It refreshing to be waited on by young men and women with thorough knowledge and understanding of their menu. No question they couldn’t answer and set us completely at ease. Atmosphere very busy but a lovely vibe for a Friday night. Dragon Rolls and grilled aubergine are an absolute must. Keep it up, this is just what Epping needs.

Nice deco, clean. Seafood on Nigiri was good, but rice was not fully cooked and chewy. Unagi donburi was over sweet and rice also undercooked.

We went here for an Anniversary dinner. The welcome was warm and efficient and on a Friday night the place was full and buzzing- great atmosphere. We chose the £60 for 2 Tasting Menu as we wanted to experience the different type of Japanese food...
