The best restaurants in Ware Christchurch East Hertfordshire East of England

I decided to try this whilst in Ware for the day one Friday afternoon and chose it as it's along the river. It was a bit of a cold day so decided to sit inside. The bar tender was really friendly and helpful and helped me choose some suitable food for my child with allergies. It's a lovely, bright pub with an airy feel, very clean and nice modern decor. The bathrooms were also well maintained. Both me and my child had the fish and chips, it was so good! I went for the minted peas which were excellent and my lemon was charred which gave it a lovely full flavour. We also had vegan vanilla ice cream for dessert which was delicious. The pub has a lovely relaxed atmosphere. I will look back to returning on a warmer day and sitting outside which also looked lovely.

Been here twice and manager very rude. Complained to area manager didn’t want to know. The toilets was dirty and trip hazards around corridors, chairs ripped. The second visit walked in and out as no one in there, dead place.

We have ordered Thai exclusively from this restaurant for years, but the service recently has been shocking and we will now go elsewhere. They forgot food items from our order twice on consecutive orders, and had the audacity to claim not only that we didn’t order the items (actually argued with us on the phone claiming we never ordered them) but also charged us another delivery fee to deliver the items they forgot!! On both occasions! They were so rude and argumentative we decided the last time was the last straw so will now go elsewhere.

Lovely pint in a very friendly and cosy pub. Great selection of cask beers . Would definitely visit again when I'm up that way.

The evening was okay. Service was good although felt a bit unfriendly, perhaps they were busy. Our starters and desserts were nice. We had Melanzane Alla Parmigiana and Funghi Fritti to start and for desserts we had the Pear Cheesecake and a Chocolate Fondant with ice cream. We had x 2 prawn pasta mains that were very bland - one of which was Tagliolini al nero di seppia con gamberi (black pasta with prawns and a cherry tomato sauce) and the other which was the Tagliatelle con gameri spinaci (prawn and spinach pasta) and believe me it was just that - no seasoning, nothing. Two very ronseal mains with nothing extra - I was expecting more. We were quite disappointed after hearing such great reviews so not sure I'd visit again and if I did I wouldn't have a pasta dish.

For some reason Domino's were not taking orders so decided on a change and tried Tops Pizza. Delivery took quite a while but the quality of the Pizza was very good. Will be using more often.

I've been in the shop many times for the lovely old-fashioned sweets. I bought some mint and fudge sweets last week for my wife. She tasted them and said they had an odd and unpleasant aftertaste; I tried them and thought the same. I went back to the shop today (Monday) to explain and ask for a refund and to buy some other sweets. However, the young man serving became very aggressive and threatening. I had to leave before it escalated into a very nasty experience. Sadly, I won't be returning.

Trip advisor has the wrong title for this cafe on West Street in Ware (next door to the Village Taverna) Superb coffee, great for a breakfast or healthy brunch. Fresh salads and desserts. Run by professional qualified family. When the sun is out you can sit on the patio and be spoilt by attentive staff.

Jelena was the most attentive and wonderful host for our Mother’s Day meal. Thank you!!

Poor service Swears at customers and sent raw pizza and a wrap that’s wet

Had takeaway tonight normally food is great but tonight there was so much fluid(water) floating around probably the worst I’ve had from here.

Our first visit to this well supported restaurant. The staff were very friendly and helpful throughout our visit. The menu is varied, reasonably priced and our food was served piping hot. We were also pleased by the quality of the food.

It took them two hours to deliver my food, a time before that they Delivered stale prawn crackers When I phoned them, he said they are free anyway if that was the case I would’ve rather paid as it’s what my Enjoy kids eat Before that they forgot my curry sauce seems every time the lady is on the counter or phone. She mucked up my order and I complained Rubbish customer service Just say they can’t do nothing about it
