I've been in the shop many times for the lovely old-fashioned sweets. I bought some mint and fudge sweets last week for my wife. She tasted them and said they had an odd and unpleasant aftertaste; I tried them and thought the same. I went back to the shop today (Monday) to explain and ask for a refund and to buy some other sweets. However, the young man serving became very aggressive and threatening. I had to leave before it escalated into a very nasty experience. Sadly, I won't be returning.

We travelled halfway across the globe and stumble upon this olde sweet shop so full of treats and a true gem for the young and adults alike. Amazed by the wide selection of chocs, sweets and gummies. Staff were extremely friendly, accomodating and even let us take a picture from inside. This olde sweet shop certainly made our day in Hertford!

Thick and delicious milkshakes in this charming and traditional sweet shop. Good selection of sweets. Friendly staff. The prices are a bit steep. Seating area in the shop. I’ve been there many times!

Had a lovely time choosing our favourites. The recommendation on those the shop didnt have were spot on. The gentlemen in the sweetshop let me try a couple to help me make up my mind. It was a calming atmosphere and the smell takes you right back to childhood. I will definitely be going again. I would highly recommend this shop. Please support local businesses.

We walked in and I felt as if I had been transported back to my childhood. Although the prices are very up to date. Loads of glass bottles holding sweets that I remember in my distant past. The service was friendly and very welcoming.

Was not informed that they did not take credit card. Had to get cash at a cash point with high exchange rate. Food was fine, but only us in the restaurant.

Absolutely love love love love this place! The food is incredible! Best salads I've ever tasted and the staff are so sweet. They also do amazing cakes that are gluten and refined sugar free. Love coming here whenever I'm in Hertford :)

I have visited this place today, and it went down since I was here 4 years ago. Once entered... Stinky smell, dirty surroundings. Been waiting 10 minutes to get checked. Staff is so minimal, and the waiting time is ridiculously long! Food tastles, burgers dry, and discusting frozen corn on the hob. They forgot to cook it! After the dinner, we waited 25 minutes to get the bill. Poor waitress had to serve the whole restaurant, and the till got an error, she could not print the bill. She had to ask the manager to come twice to fix it. But the manager was too busy behind the bar, serving people with beer who could no longer wait at the tables. Total waiting time was 1.5h. Horrible expierience!

Picked Rosey Lea because it has kerb appeal and there was a pretty terrace to enjoy the last of the summer. Had a simple lunch of baked potato and a glass of wine which came to £17.45. The spud was OK and came with a decent amount of salad. However, for that money I want a big, fluffy and really hot potato where the cheese is happily melting in to the mix. The one I had was warmish and smallish. Service was friendly but on the slow side.
