Butcher And Grill in East Hertfordshire

We booked a table for 2 on a week night as we had a voucher from their twin restaurant and wanted to try a new place. Despite the restaurant being practically empty we were seated on a very small table, with empty ones either side. It wasn't a particularly nice table and not having any room put us off ordering extras as it would have been really cramped. We eventually pulled over the next table as nobody else was there to put bottles and condiments on. The food itself was very good, on the pricey side but a good steak. There was no atmosphere though and the staff were polite but not really welcoming. I would consider returning for the food but not for the overall experience.

Awful. Arrived for a group birthday booking to find it closed with the mornings mail still on the floor. No signs to say why No one contacted us to say they couldn't open. The booking was made and confirmed days ago. Other peoples parties were arriving to find same issue.

Had read loads of good reviews so thought we would try it. Food was okay but nothing exceptional. Service was really slow especially when we first arrived and were waiting for drinks. Staff didnt seem to have had the right training. The menu isnt huge and there were loads of items not available. Sorry Butcher and Grill it should have been better.

Quality food and venue .. Excellent starter and decent sized steaks A real find Definitely recommend and return

I had dinner with my friends and i really enjoyed it . They have the best food anyone could eat , the steak was amazing , sides , desserts, cocktails, i tried the cheese cake it was so nice . They have a great service as well , the staff were friendly . Everything was clean and bright. I totally recommend it .
