Prezzo Italian Restaurant Ware in East Hertfordshire

Comfortable seating, accessible for disabled people. Very cosy interior, but can be rather loud when packed, especially the music if you're seated below a speaker. There is outside seating if you'd like a quieter place to enjoy your food. Tables are for two, four, or for about six people at the back. Staff are very attentive and polite, focused on their work. Food was delivered to the table pleasantly fast, and the presentation was nice too! My pinsa was delivered on a beautiful wooden board. The food was delicious too! My first try having truffles has me hooked. I look forward to future visits to Prezzo and recommend them as a location for treating yourself.

Seen a few reviews saying the atmosphere was bad/quiet…. This was NOT our experience. We went in on a Friday night and it was absolutely heaving!! If anything too busy, needed more staff and a relatively long wait for food. Two pasta dishes, garlic bread and the chocolate bar dessert were all excellent. Nice vibe, and friendly amicable staff. Only draw back was the relatively slow service - they brought us the dessert menu but it took over half an hour to come back and take our order as the staff were run off their feet. Sadly this isn’t the first time we experienced this - we came several years ago to the Ware Prezzo and it was incredibly slow then too. A shame as everything else was excellent - Prezzo head office, please increase headcount and provide your branches with more staff!!

Very sad place, wouldn’t bother visiting again. Zero atmosphere because it’s empty most of the time. The service is pretty poor, a sour faced waitress will eventually greet you , only when she’s ready though - very severe look and wears extremely vivid coloured clothes Zero warmth, training required. That can be excused if the meal was great quality but honestly I can make better food at home, average flavours and presentation as for the portion size you’d think I had been offered a child’s meal. This place is avoid at all costs, it’s in a great location - hopefully it will be replaced by an independent restaurant soon.. so many better places to eat in Ware.

We ordered takeaway pizza and pasta from prezzos through Deliveroo. Unfortunately one of the items was ordered incorrectly. When we tried to amend the order - 2 minutes after pressing "order" - the app said to contact the restaurant. We contacted the restaurant twice and they stated both times that they could not help There was absolutely no leeway they were very rigid in their decision. We thought it was totally unhelpful and not great customer service. No customer care at all.

I had dinner tonight with my partner and we were served by Lucie who was so lovely and friendly. She was very smiley and polite.

Birthday celebration today.3 well behaved under 5 who we kept occupied with a variety of activities for the time we were there, 2 hours. Waitress,I think the manager did not acknowledge the children at all and was very abrupt when taking orders. Food was nice,but wouldn't go back as service was cold. Bill was £200+,so could've put a bit of friendliness in. They won award for something when we were there defimately wasn't for service.

Don't go here. Full stop. Go to anywhere else nearby. They will lie about CCTV (there is none), they will tamper with receipts, racially profile you (I'm a white man who went with his multicultural family) and abuse/embarrass you in front of customers. I can't add as many details as I'd like as legal action is pending. A year of shocking reviews for the woman who works here who is a racist, rude narcissist, and the guy who was the manager on the day is a liar as well. Let's see what happens when the SAR, Preserve Evidence and Letter Before Action is replied to.

Pizza was ok but the Tuscan sausages and arrancini were disappointing

Extremely disappointed after lunch at Prezzo, Ware today….service was really poor and we waited unreasonably long times for all our food, especially as we had two young kids to try and keep occupied while we waited ….and waited. When the chefs finally rang the bell to alert the servers we watched as the food cooled down while the servers were nowhere to be found. We had to ask every time when we could expect the food to arrive. The crust on my Calzone pizza was very undercooked, almost raw dough in places and some of the contents worryingly cold 😳. I didn’t complain as didn’t want to hold everyone else up after they finally got their food. I really couldn’t say anything particularly good about any aspect of the visit ….except that I definitely will not return….

Possibly the worst service I have ever had. We (a group of 9 adults and one child) were basically ignored for pretty much the whole time we were there. That time was 2 hours with the starters arriving half an hour after we had ordered and the mains not arriving until one and a half hours after we had arrived! As if that wasn't bad enough the food itself was considered poor by all members of the group. Clearly a problem for Prezzo caused mainly by insufficient staff, but also by the staff who were there mostly just chatting to each other and taking no notice of the customers. Very disappointing!

The food was not cooked fresh . They heat the spaghetti on microwave and served the food . Don’t waste the money in this restaurant !

Not totally happy with pizza. I asked for nocellara olives as an extra topping, paying £1.50 extra, but got just one olive (2 halves and still containing a split stone). That's not value foe money.

The worst Prezzo branch we have ever been. Service was terrible, you have to wait min 20 mins to order something another 20 mins to have it on the table if you are lucky. Our wine arrived we ordered before mains arrived after desserts. I had to shout to the waitress to get the bill because she kept saying you don’t need to pay. Hopefully Prezzo head office will deal with the case. So unfortunate to see the standards of Prezzo don’t exist in this branch.

Drinks order was taken wrong, starters came out quickly which was good but then mains took 45 minutes to arrive and the dessert took 25 minutes after ordering even though the place was less than half full. Had the crab and lobster Ravioli which was very bland and garlic bread was rock hard and barely any garlic on it. Server was good and polite and happy but just service time and food quality was awful for the price you pay. Wont be going back again.

Unfortunately my visit here was full of lackluster food whilst being charged a upmarket restaurants premium. The atmosphere is lovely although the seats uncomfortable.... The food itself was small portions, overcooked and uninspiring whilst also taking a century to actually be served between courses in a not very busy restaurant.

Brilliant service even at lunchtime

We went to Ware Brunch last Sunday.Order takes ages and they were very relaxed.They didn’t care any order even They didn’t bring drinks order. Waste money..

Ordered extra chicken and didn’t get it… first time order aswell!! Not great

We had our Xmas meal here yesterday, it was poor. The service was awful, very abrupt women serving, short staffed. We waited 45 minutes to get our starter, and an hour after for our main course., then they came out cold or luke warm. Ordering drinks was a mission if you could get there attention then when we did they were miserable and unwelcoming, drinks took half an hour to get to us, it was shocking. It seriously needs to address the staff and there customer service. Won't be eating here again in a rush......

for the gluten free, it was truly a waste of money, burnt garlic should not be 6£.

Unfortunately, I was not impressed with my recent visit to Prezzo. Very overpriced for what you get. The starter was nice, but I had the chicken for the main and it was so disappointing. It was overcooked, flavourless, and for a dish that cost almost £19, I expected more than one potato on the plate! Even with the festive menu (£23 for 2 courses or £27 for 3 courses) I just did not feel that the value for money was any good. I don’t think I will be visiting again.

I ordered food online through Deliveroo. When the food arrived it was stone cold and the food had leaked out in the bag so it was only half full. The chips were cold and covered in a wet soggy liquid. Tried to ring the restaurant and ask if they could resend my order or give me any money back. The restaurant said it wasn’t their problem any more and refused to do anything and then hung up Customer service is terrible here Worst food I have had from Deliveroo and I will never order from here again Do not waste your money here!!

Nice food, good service. They helped with a birthday surprise which was nice.

What a fabulous experience. Our family of 6 did not pre-book but were very welcomed. Our waitress Lucie was absolutely fab. Our children took an instant liking to her (age 8 and 11) and commented on how lovely she was. So very polite, professional and most of all friendly. Will definitely return for the 'Lucie' experience.

We had a booking here for 35 people after a wedding celebration. The food was great and the service was even better. The booking process was swift and easy. I would highly recommend this restaurant to anyone, especially large group bookings!

The foods very nice and the waiters have always been nice, good customer service. Only downside is the appeal to young kids so theres a risk of some loud annoying children possibly being there. Last visit there was an extremely loud child screaming and crying! The parents did not seem to care and didn’t take a step outside with the child for a moment despite everybody seeming annoyed at them. Me and my 7 year old little brother gave them the dirtiest stares which was funny and was a hint to the parents.

Very unpleasant waitress (probably Polish) with pink trousers and pink long fingernails and miserable face. Unpleasant way of speaking and very uninterested in her job. My little one and I came in to have an early dinner at around 3:30pm today (18 May 2023), and she just rolled her eyes. She showed no interest to serve us. When I came to the bar to pay, I had to wait while she slowly and hesitantly strolled through the restaurant to assist me with the bill. VERY UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE. Children menu very poor, very little option, everything vegan. My little one is Not vegan. Never going back. Never recommending the place to no one. I left no tips for her.

Would have given 5 stars, but unfortunately, we were sat at a table where it had holes and didn't look like a table that was used other than to have boxes on top as the waitress had to move the boxes from the top to accommodate my partner and I. Also, something seemed to have spilt on the floor, which was incredibly greasy and we had the wet floor sign literally right next to us. Other than that, food was great and service was good as it was a busy Saturday evening.

Very enjoyable evening here with friends from France. Fairly quiet, but service excellent. Special mention for Lucie our waitress who was excellent. Food ok, without being exceptional.

Nice restaurant with your basic Italian options

Wish I had taken a pic of the Spag Bol that arrived versus the one in the picture. Absolutely dreadful. Do yourselves a favour and spend your cash elsewhere.

Very disappointed with our visit on 5th November. We booked a table for 6 adults and 2 children for 4:45 pm, thinking we would have time for a meal before going to the Ware firework display (we had already bought tickets) that started at 7:00 pm. We arrived at 4:50 and waited while our table was prepared. We ordered drinks at 5:00 pm, then ordered our food at about 5:20 pm. We ordered 2 children's meals - the waitress asked if she could bring all meals out together, rather than waiting for the children to finish their starters (everyone else only ordered main meals). We agreed. The children's starters arrived, but the rest of the meals didn't arrive until 6:25, including the children's mains. We then had to rush our meals (my husband and one child didn't finish their meals) we didn't have time to order desserts, the children didn't even have the desserts that were part of the children's meal deal! Consequently, we missed the start of the firework display. Don't come to this restaurant unless you have lots of time to waste!

We had a lovely lunchtime visit today, so much so I've come to leave a review here on google too! The food and service was great- the staff are super; very welcoming and attentive! Our waitress (Mila) was fab! Would definitely recommend this prezzo to others :)

This is the best Prezzo in Herts. The service is great. The food is great. The restaurant is very nice and they have a conservatory area which is perfect for date night. Overall, I would highly recommend this Prezzo.

Not very impressed restaurant was nice but service was quite slow even thou it was quite empty. Had a pepperoni pizza and it was incredible dry.

The food is awful its not fresh and they are charging prices of resturants that have good fresh quality food, avoid this place!

Our favourite Italian Restraunt

Food ok but service is just the worst. Won't go again EDIT: Went again (not my choice). Food wasn't good, was even cold, and serving staff had filthy dirty hands. Table (and even the walls) caked with naaaasty stains. Deffo won't visit again.

Starters were nice (when the corrected order arrived) but mains were disappointing, and also wrong at first. Wasn't a difficult order, so hard to understand why! Chicken for both Caesar Salad and chicken and mushroom main very dry, unfortunately.

Mediocre over priced food from a generic chain. Not bad, but really not great either. Service was average and the restaurant should have come with a wind chill warning it was so cold.

It's not often I leave a poor review but this was pretty poor. From service to food which was very average at best, the manager seems extremely moody which makes the service worse. I had to get up off my chair to order and then the same when I went to pay! Needs major improvement!!

Food bang average! Server was dressed inappropriately, ceiling blinds covered in bugs and god knows what else!

Very nice food and a wide selection, friendly atmosphere and staff. However if busy the waiting time for food can be long as I only saw two waitresses all the time we were there.

Sadly our meal on Saturday evening was spoilt by a very, very long wait. We were celebrating a 21st birthday with a family meal out. It wasn't a huge party, just four of us. The garlic bread starter turned up 50 minutes after ordering, then the main meal was served over an hour after the starter!! There was no communication from the waitress to tell us what was happening or how long the wait was likely to be, we stopped her to ask several times and she just said it was very busy and not her fault. There were quite a few tables empty... so not that busy, they just didn't have enough staff on. Our meal when it finally arrived was very nice, hence the three stars. For the service and communication I would give zero stars!

Being honest, it’s nothing outstanding. The restaurant itself is in a really lovely position and the interior is lovely and clean. The staff however (and I’ve been to this place a few times at varying hours of the day) have never been pleasant, it’s like you’re an inconvenience. I’ve seen on numerous occasions staff members taking ages to have a break or just standing around doing nothing. They must also be struggling in the chef department because it takes a minimum of 40 minutes for food to arrive, regardless of how busy it is. Peak times, it can take an hour from sitting down to actually chowing down. The food is average honestly you’d get the same effect buying frozen pizzas. And for the portions you get, most of the starters are overpriced.

I used to live this place but the last visit was not good . Kids menu used to have calamari on starter don't have that anymore . We ordered a chicken Caesar salad which is a main to share with main.. well If I ordered as a main I would throw at them 3 pieces of garlic bread to hide the fact of 3 mouthfuls of lettuce on plate which was wilted .. my salmon pasta which is usually lovely was smaller and didn't taste as good as it used to . Waited ages too . When we complained about the Salad she said ..your not happy and took away , no can I get you something else no apologies ... Unfortunately won't be returning again

One friendly waitress, but the food wasn't good. Bland pizza with cold raw mushrooms on top and watery lasagne that wasn't very warm in the middle and tasted like it may have been microwaved. I remember prezzo being better than that 😔

We had Dinner here. Very nice Pizza (wood fired oven) Service was very good, but we had to wait quite long for the food (we were a larger party) It was very loud inside.

Lovely food really enjoyed my meal. Had prawn and smoked salmon risotto was excellent!

We had my daughter's pre party lunch here. There was 10 in total and we all had a delicious meal. Service was pretty prompt at the beginning but we had to ask for our desserts and the bill on more than one occasion which nearly made us late for the actual party event.

I went there for a birthday and it was amazing! They had very respectable waiters and the food was delicious. We had a mixup with the order that when we returned, came back with another issue, yet the 3rd time we got it back perfectly fine and an additional item from their menu on the house! I would rate higher if I could

Have been to this Prezzo a couple of times for a sit down meal and it's been good. Ordered for collection and went to pick up at the time specified. Food wasn't ready and by the looks of it the kitchen probably hadn't even started cooking our order or our friend's who ordered at the same time. We then waited while they cooked our order. When we got it, it had obviously been rushed - the cheese wasn't fully cooked on the pizza and the fries were soggy. Shame as we do like coming to this Prezzo :(
