This is my go to takeaway, best biriani in my opinion and gets delivered so quickly! I love the food from here and will keep ordering, thanks guys

What a sad shame, delivery 2 hours late now they have no idea how to run a business. Don’t order from these guys they let you down time and time again. Ware Tandoori never let me down so going back there Customer service useless. They have no idea what’s been ordered or what’s out for delivery

What can I say this has to be one of the best Indian meals I've ever eaten , it was beautifully tasty and was very reasonably priced . What an absolute gem of a restaurant.

Food was pleasant enough. Waiter seriously did not want to be there at all, spoilt the meal. Tried to give us beer when we ordered diet coke and got the hump when we didn't want it.

I've lived in and around Ware for a number of years now and decided to give Amwell Tandoori a try after their recent re-fit. Wish I hadn't. Has to be some of the worst take-out food I've had. We had a lamb and chicken dish and the quality of the meat was awful. 80% of the meal was binned. Suffice to say, we won't be back...

The food and service here is always excellent, having tried everything ware has to offer this is definitely our favourite Indian restaurant. All the dishes are great but I would recommend the Chicken Chom Chom and the Tawa variants .

Had a lovely meal, everything was nicely cooked and not at all oily or greasy. Chicken shashlik and Bhuna chicken Jalfrezi were spot on as was the sag bhaji and nirimish. Service was good too 👍

Saturday 27th Jan … I don’t usually write reviews but had to on this one we dined here the restaurant had only 20 people in the main course took a hour to come out at one time not one table had any food on … The food came out cold no steam at all on any of the dishes the curry was like chicken in oxtail soup garlic naan was tasteless and horrible Bombay potato’s were like boiled potato with a bland sauce we paid the bill and Told the waiter on the way out he didn’t seem bothered .. a lesson learned won’t eat here again

We can honestly say this was the loveliest indian meal we have had and we have had many many! Popadoms were light and crispy, dips were perfect and when i asked for a rogan josh with some spice it came out perfectly! Also, the restaurant is nice and warm and the toilets were spotless. Great service. Ten out of ten!

Pre Christmas catch up with friends and as always Amwell Tandoori didn't disappoint. Great food and service. This is my all time favourite Indian restaurant. Highly recommend.

First time we visited to this Restaurant in the town of Ware . When entertained and sat down, we were greeted nicely and we were told the restaurant has been renovated . Yes that was the case and is very clean and modern. It was quiet on a Sunday mid evening but the food served was high quality , lovely and beautifully tasty. My partner is particularly fussy when it comes to food quality & taste bieng a food blogger and she approved 100%! Of course It’s not inexpensive but I rather pay for good food and service which we received than not. We will come back again for dinner as we enjoyed the friendly service and tasty indian dishes. So I do recommend it :-) Our dinner consisted for two of us one starter each, main meals, a side dish , 2 poppadoms with sparkling water, but we decided no alcohol that evening. The bill was £57.00 in total. It was acceptable. Look forward to our next visit as we stayed overnight at the manor hotel Parking is made easier by having a public car park off a side road near the restaurant and was free at that time just walk 20 seconds to the restaurant. It’s easier to park than the other indian restaurant in the high street as all double yellow lines there and Amwell standard establishment presentation & quality inside comparison from the outside too is far higher and appealing than the other indian restaurant we noticed.

5 stars and more! Noticed this local was recently refurbished so we decided to try it out. One of the best curry we’ve tasted. Made with a lot of flavour and fresh ingredients - we asked for it spicy too and it was perfect. The onion bhaji appetiser is not your usual onion rings but instead a ball of thin onion slices and then battered all together. Very interesting. Poppadoms and dips were delicious. The service was amazing, very attentive staff. Thank you so much to the whole team. We will definitely return for a nice hot meal again soon.

Never had a problem till now when take my money don't do the order now I have to Waite 3 days for my money not impressed. Lost a good customer

***UPDATE 6 YEARS LATER**** From 5 Star down to 1 star. Booked a table online and on the day arrived to a woman rudely opening the door and saying they only do delivery and takeaway then closed the door in our face. Clearly a front for some illegal activity. I've eaten at many Indian places in my time all over the UK including the infamous Brick Lane. Indian is one of my favourite cuisines but I find that most restaurants seem to taste very similar. This is not one of those places. This is by far my favourite Indian restaurant so far. I'm like my curries as hot as possible and the Vindaloo/Madras really deliver on spice and flavour and they are happy to make it hotter or give you a Phall on demand. I also thoroughly recommend the vegetarian Bihriani which has a truly unique flavour and you can tell a lot of effort has gone into it. The onion Bhajis are clearly made by hand and are rather large and do not appear "generic" like other Indian restaurants. I ate here once when residing in Ware and ended up going back each weekend to eat in as I was that impressed with the food and service. Sometimes as a female I feel uncomfortable in Indian restaurants due to the service and how I have to act. For example I usually feel like I can't drink too much or if I buy a large Cobra alongside my (male) partner, I get given a half pint glass while he will get a full pint glass which I find very offensive. This is again, not one of those places. I think they gauge their customers well and interact with them in a way they are comfortable with and are extra friendly to regulars and give them extras. Very well priced and fast personal service. I would thoroughly recommend this restaurant. Especially to eat in.

Echo the other 1* reviews, very bland curry and over priced. Would go as far to saying supermarkets are better quality. Ruby’s in Hertford or Neeklash over the road much better options. Only tried as Foodhub were doing a promotion, turned out to be a mistake as got food poisoning and several days later still suffering. Avoid at all costs!

We had a couple of evenings in Ware and after a beer or two, decided to head for a curry. We were lucky enough to get in just before closing and enjoyed a yummy meal. The staff were friendly and welcoming, very attentive and efficient. The food quality was top rate and the prices more than reasonable. We enjoyed ourselves so much, we returned on our second night to repeat the experience which was equally as good. Well worth a visit. We will be back next year.

Wish I could give 0 stars here.... Absolutely disgusting place, hasn't had a food hygiene inspection in 3.5 YEARS!! When I called to resolve, the rudest most aggressive man told me to bring the food back and no refunds. I've complained to environmental health and will be visiting the restaurant to speak with management myself after the way he spoke to me. We had to throw our whole meal in the bin after spending almost £40.00, I feel let down and very disappointed that a restaurant has treated me this way. All good reviews of this place are obviously fake. Please do not give this place your hard earned money!

Best Chicken Madras I've had in this area - Lovely chicken, perfectly spiced! Can't recommend it enough...

Ordered from here through uber eats. Got to half hour after the delivery time so waiting over an hour and ten mins so rang up restaurant for them to say its not coming and I will have to go pick it up. Could of at least rang to tell me it wasn't coming. Will not order from here again

We actually got the restaurant muddled with the nearby Neelakash! The chap that took our order and was at the restaurant when we collected was lovely and threw in a few poppadoms with sauces as we didn't have the exact change. I had the Goan fish with coconut rice which was delicious and a large enough portion for me to finish for lunch the next day. Overall the nicest takeaway I have had throughout lockdown and there have been a few!

Shockingly slow. I wish I could review it but it never turned up. I waited nearly 2 hours for it to turn up but i ended up cancelling it in the end. Shocking service with no phone call etc to keep you updated.

I did phone Amwell, they offered a replacement or free dishes next time but we’re 30 mins away so really not possible. I asked for a refund but this was refused which is a poor show from Amwell given we spent over £80 on the meal and we’ve only been able to eat the poppadoms. I just can’t believe the chef didn’t taste the dishes before packing them up as a takeaway, if he’d done this, then it would’ve been picked up. So disappointing and upsetting as it ruined the evening

We dined in the restaurant and the food was absolutely lovely.

Ordered take away a few days back. Was told it would arrive by 8.25pm latest. Come 9.30pm I was making my second complaint as it still hadn't arrived. When it finally did turn up, the food was beyond awful - I wouldn't inflict it on my worst enemy. The vindaloo was completely devoid of flavour. I've never eaten cardboard but if I did... It was also complete drowning in grease, which I had to drain before falling into the trap of actually sampling the "food". I wished I'd taken a picture of it before throwing it away now, although I did manage to take a picture of the bombay aloo - another grease infused delight - which i didn't even order! Apparently this inedible treat for the taste buds was meant as compensation for the extra wait, although even now not a single apology has been forthcoming about the actual quality (or lack thereof) of the dishes, which I can only assume were some type of declaration of war or an incredibly funny practical joke which will all be revealed in good humour in the coming days. When I initially requested just a little compensation for all of the above, I genuinely thought that they would be reasonable given the epic fail. Maybe just hold their hands up and apologise for getting it so wrong. If you were in a restaurant, slop like this could be sent back without question. When you buy something from Amazon and it's broken, you get your money back. But no, Amwell Tandoori took advantage of the fact that they had already taken my money and just sent me someone else's leftovers to compensate (potato lathered in grease and a korma - just what us vidaloo fans are in the market for!). Genuinely the worst curry I've ever tasted with astonishingly bad customer service to boot. Please do not make the same mistakes I did. Avoid like the plague!!!!

Bad service, worse curry. Took over 2 hours to deliver, despite stating 45-60 mins. When it arrived it was essentially several trays of grease - almost entirely inedible. The vidaloo had no flavour, maybe due to all of the grease? I've had spicier carrots (this is not an exaggeration). Sent us a free korma and a tray of potatoes in grease as compensation. Which part of our order made you think we'd like a korma (or more grease) - why not just get our order correct in the first place?! This was almost certainly someone else's incorrect order being redirected to us. Refused to offer any money back on the grounds that a free korma with a side of grease was suitable compensation. Genuinely the worst meal, let alone curry, I've ever sampled. This is the only negative review I've ever written. Usually I'll take the hit and move on, but everything about this entire experience was so bad I feel it is my duty to make people aware. Avoid at all costs. Be honest... did you actually just send me that muck as a dare? Tonight I'm checking for hidden cameras.

Food was awful, chicken was like rubber and worse than a microwave meal, it was like they were getting rid of their stock after lockdown. Coke was from a bottle - warm and flat! Place was dirty with very little Covid measures. To top it off was overcharged and they insisted on paying by cash as 'card' machine wasn't working. Hole of an establishment!

Ordered a takeaway from Amwell Tandoori just before 6pm. The delivery time quoted was 7.20 which seemed excessive but these are trying times. Rang the restaurant at 8pm and was unapologetically told it had just left and it finally turned up at 8.20 (not very warm either) although with currently no traffic we only live five minutes or so away. I know these are difficult times but well over two hours from point of ordering to delivery? The food was tasty enough to be fair albeit not as warm as it could be and a couple of items needed a blast in the microwave. Unlikely to be using this place again.

Ordered a takeaway for delivery and was very disappointed with service and food. The order took over an hour. I called the restaurant and the guy who answered the phone was rude. He said he’d check on my order and call back but never did. He said they’re busy and hung up on me. When the food finally arrived, it was lukewarm and very bland. I was so let down with the food. I’ve eaten here a few times but because of the current situation had to get it delivered. It was awful service and horrible food.

Food was poor. We ordered pilau rice but received plain boiled rice. The curry dishes were 3/4 full (or less) and both tasted the same. Popadoms not received. The food was cold and we had to put it in the microwave. We called to complain but they said we were lying and hung up on us. Very poor service and very disappointed customers!

Food absolutely gorgeous, little bit of a wait but it was Saturday, and it was worth will only go to this Indian in ware from now on. Very polite waiters, good service. Nice clean but cosy atmosphere.

I was told my food would be 1 hour, I waited 2 hours 45 minutes for it to arrive at my house, when I rang up to see where the delivery was, they was very rude and put the phone down, food was cold and didn’t taste as nice as a microwave meal from Tesco, I was offered no discount. Good Indian, with nice choice of different dishes

Ordered a delivery, arrived 1hr 50min later and was stone cold! Spoke to the manager (Hoc?) on the phone refused to give me a refund and instead suggested I put it in a microwave!! I will certainly not be wasting money with this restaurant again.

I visit around once twice a month never had a bad meal it's a great place to eat and there's always something different to try you won't find in other places great staff always friendly and food comes out quick.

The service was good. Unfortunately, the chicken madras was flavorless. The balti chicken jalfresi specialty is tasty, so maybe the specialties are the way to go. The portions are a bit small.

Unfortunately can't give less than 1 star!! Absolutely appalling, in 40 years I have never been to an Indian restaurant that runs out of Onion Bhaji!! 50yds from late night Sainsbury's they could have used some initiative, but clearly they don't have the intelligence.

Went to Wednesday night banquet and found one member of staff very rude. Extra charges on the bill, queried it and was told ‘you don’t need to come back!’ Surprising they have customers with that kind of attitude. I won’t be going back.....

Have been several times, however on our most recent visit, the man behind the bar was incredibly rude when we questioned the bill as they had added other extra charges. He then argued back and told us not to come back and proceeded to giggle at the bar like a child. Unprofessional and he knows we were loyal customers, who will now not be visiting again!

Just had a nice curry at A..... T...... in Ware. Not only was I spoken rudely to by the man behind the bar , he proceeded to argue with me , and tried to belittle me in front of other customers . What a tool . Will not be eating there again.

It was far too late for me to be popping in for a meal yet the staff were more than happy to serve me. My “hot” masala was delicious! Definitely recommend.

From the warm welcome to the amazing food and service I love this restaurant. Food is always fantastic and service is the best Ive had anywhere I’ve been. My partner absolutely loves it. We live in Hemel Hempstead and it is always top choice when dining out.

Celebratory meal with my other half. There was no other choice but to go to Amwell Tandoori! Travelled from Hemel Hempstead. Fantastic service, food and people. Never disappoints. Always worth the journey.

Had Wednesday night "Banquet Menu" turned down a starter off the menu and asked for Poppadoms instead and was charged for the poppadoms on top of the fixed price. Did not have a sweet of coffee either. Meal was okay but not memorable.

Ate at this very small restaurant for the first time

Originally order a delivery, however when they said it was an hour 20mins, I opted for collection....which was still 45mins. Went to collect and they had already packed into a car for delivery! When they found food, we got home to find it stone cold. I wouldn’t mind but there was nobody in the restaurant so no excuse for the wait and the fact that it was so cold just ruined it.

Do not order home delivery from here, it arrived almost 1 hour late of the estimated time given and was stone cold. Despite calling numerous times to follow up how long the delivery would take, as food also included dinner for a 2 year old, they did not seem to bothered about the delay and lied numerous times regarding how long the delivery would take.

Apauling in every sense, brightly lit, soulless and the rudest service we've ever experienced. Uninspiring and very average food. We won't be going back.

Very disappointed! After waiting 1h 40m for our delivery, (after being told it would be 1h waiting time) we had the rice missing from our order! I phoned to complain only to be told that they where busy and to call back the following day! I called the next day and all they where willing to do was give me a free rice with my next order! I’m not one for leaving low star reviews but was shocked at there handling of the situation and we definitely not be ordering from them again!

waited hour and half for food then get call to say it will be another 40 minutes ,manager could not get it into his head that I did not want to wait another 40 minutes,he insisted on delivering in 40 minutes then put fone down on me,I called him back as a regular he said if I go to collect I could get discount,i was unable to do this so wanted to cancel order,he kept saying we are so busy madam ,they may have been busy in the restaurant but that doesn't mean regulars who sometimes eat in or get takeaway should be neglected and he should have told me 2 hours ago when I placed order that they were too busy for deliveries tonight, Iasked for a refund back onto my card as it is already paid for and he said he will call later and put fone down again,I hope no one turns up at my door with food in next half an hour as he may be wearing it!!! and I do not want no midnight call when the restaurant is quieter and I am asleep in bed ,I shall be paying them a visit tomorrow!!!! angry and very disappointed regular customer

Yum, Yum & Yum. A late mid-week evening, a few beers, hunger sets in... these guys open, welcoming and fun. Then there's the food. Quality- top rate, Portion sizes- generous, Prices- reasonable. A great combination. Well worth a visit.

We placed an order on Friday evening at around 18:45 it stated that it would be delivered within 45-60 minutes. At 20:40 the food finally arrived taking nearly 2 hours for food to be delivered, the driver didn’t even deliver to the door we had to walk out and collect it and upon opening the food and serving it onto a plate the food was cold.
