it took an hour and twenty to deliver 3 items. shocking plus when I called there was no apology just driver on the way goodbye. Food was bland.

Food was ok. Ordered Murg jal Muri had more onions than sauce. Naan was nice and hot.

We were huge fans of The Mountbatten and tried Tandoori Cottage without much hope when it closed down. We have never looked back. The food is SO good that even when we experienced horrendous delivery service from them (once, 18 months ago) - it wasn’t enough to put us off of going back. Thankfully, the episode of bad service appears to have been a one off and we have had nothing but a great experience since. The food here is delicious. Fresh, flavoursome and ALWAYS delivered hot. Top marks

Over 30 mins late. Rude phone call. Tried to ask further and was just told good bye multiple times. Over £100 order for family round that had to leave at a good time. Just a bit of a joke really. Order put in at 1730 for delivery at 1905.

Food was good. Delivered the wrong Nan bread I ordered Keema and got chilli.

Not enough sauce in the vegetable korma. Other than that it was great tasting, and nice and hot on arrival.

Had a call from Indian to say wait Nr door at 20.17 said be ten mins. Waited Nr the hotel door for 40mins. When I said this to the driver he said I was lucky to get it! Not the response expected to be honest.

Only reason for a lost star was that the spicy masala wasn’t spicy. Very tasty food though.

I ordered from wrong place as my phone went to work not home. I called to cancel but they did not answer the phone so now I’m down a lot of money and had to buy in the correct place too. My fault I know but why not answer the phone or return the message left.

Collected takeaway order for family 30 mins after ordering tonight. Tasted delicious: chicken tikka main, dhansak & bhuna with rices and veg side dishes. Meals thankfully not overloaded with ghee or salt, unlike others I’ve tried. Nicely presented with fresh herbs on top. I’ve been to TC almost 30 yrs & continued visiting now moved to Triad/Southmill area. Staff friendly & remember me each time I visit. Highly recommend you support this local Stortford restaurant

Tasty food and lots of it! Cheaper than other places but still excellent quality. Naans lovely and soft, lamb cooked beautifully. Definitely my first choice of all Indian restaurants we have ordered from.

We order regularly from this place and your service today was disgusting. Called many times and no answer… still no food 2 hours after we ordered and 40 minutes after the restaurant told us it was on its way.

Delivery was fast and efficient. It was earlier than advised which was a surprise and I was very happy with it. I think I had to with less than 30 min only this time. I enjoyed the food, it was delicious. Ordered Kashmiri lamb. It was delicious. Was worried it won't be enough meat but the amount was satisfactory. I also had lentil fritoz and staffed paratha, both was great. Tough unfortunately the filling of the paratha was not really enough and tasted bland a bit. Really liked that green sauce came with them and wish I knew the name for future orders.

Usually very good from here Ignored the message about ringing when here and woke my autistic child up by knocking and doing letterbox! Arrived 35-40 minutes early Wrong food came! Delivery driver ran to his car before I had the chance to even speak to him. Not sure what has happened/changed as we order regularly but won’t be ordering again.

This business/ restaurant has moved from Northgate End in Bishops Stortford. It is now in the Millers business center off Southmill Road Bishops Stortford. I think they could do with a bit of a a boost with people being informed that they have moved rather than closed. Their new premises is pleasant inside. The food was excellent. We had a selection of dishes which were all nicely spiced and very tasty. We enjoyed our meal in an environment where you could enjoy a meal & hold a conversation. Definitely needs a boost back on the map. Definitely worth a visit if you enjoy a classic Curry House with good food & friendly staff. Will definitely be paying several return visits.

If you like waiting over 2 hours for chicken and sauce then this is the place for you

food not arrived i am disabled can not drive in dark, driver refused to find alternative route i am very unhappy and would like a full refund and i would like to know the restaurant, has been reported as driver was shouting at me telling me he is not going to deliver my food , the excuse was rod was flooding , did not want to find alternative route

Just had a fantastic buffet meal to end the weekend at Tandoori Cottage - Bishops Stortford. Food was superb and great value for money. Really think this place is underestimated

Very salty…. Delivered on time…

Lamb in the lamb korma was.. let’s just say horrible. The sauce for the korma just tasted a little cheap almost like it was from a packet in te*co. Peshwari naan was ok again, it actually didn’t have a lot of filling. Rice was just fine. Personally I would spend an extra £3 try somewhere else.

Great food as always, ordered the food for a specific time and it came well within that time. Friendly driver and food arrived hot and fresh.

Food never turned up was called and said I had to pay an extra £5 delivery cash even though they have delivered to me before. Terrible service was told to call just eat for refund but couldn't get through to anyone.

Wont be ordering again. 2nd time now I’ve waited 2.5hrs for delivery. It’s a joke.

Delivery arrived late then was given the wrong order… the wrong receipt was on the wrong food bag … no fault of the driver but the restaurant. Was eventually given the correct bag.

Worst restaurant/takeaway ever, so bad that they refused to deliver it after accepting the order and waiting and hour and a half before I had to call up to ask where my order was as they could not be bothered to call and tell me or even refuse the order in the first place.

Disgusting food with bone in chicken tikka massala Onion bhaji dry, not eatable looked like we're fried few times before being delivered Chicken tandoori tough and cold Rice cold Salad wrapped in plastic bag and hot as soup...

Still waiting….30 mins later than the 19.30-19.50 delivery slot and no communication to say it will be later than expected

Bit disappointed not to get free poppadoms on a £70 order. They usually do. But the food was great as always.

We phoned up before placing an order to ask regarding a bit allergy and was told that the certain dish was not cooked with nuts only coconut, however when the order was delivered there were nuts sprinkled on top of all dishes.. this then meant that one person couldn’t eat.. o top of this we were missing 2 starters and requested a refund which should be refunded to the payment method however we just got ‘credit’ which I haven’t even got and did t want as we wanted the refund to the original payment method.. this should have been asked how we wanted the refund not just assumed…

Made a note to make it extra spicy but food was too sweet, they added sugar instead of salt.... hated it

Very easy to order my meal online. I asked for an 18:30 delivery and a very few minutes before that the doorbell rang! I used to dine in the restaurant a long time ago, often with work colleagues. The home delivery food was as good as ever. So thanks, LOTS!
