The best restaurants in Chelmer Village and Beaulieu Park Chelmsford East of England

This cafe provided afternoon tea for our group of approximately 18 children who were attending the Chelmsford escape rooms one weekend. I made the booking via the escape rooms and on the day, we were taken care of by the cafe staff, especially Justine. We hired the board room on the premises so as not to clog up the cafe due to our numbers. The platters, including sandwiches and wraps were fresh and very tasty and their service was 1st class.

Lovely food a1 special kebab for myself and Donna and cheesey chips! Not rushed and burnt was slow cooked so I had to wait but we'll worth the wait as was soft meat and tasty Not dry as rushed great food and service happy helpful staff definitely recommend 😊

Waited ages, people chatting and ignoring me, I was the only person in the queue in a quiet cafe. Finally left with no coffee after waiting 5 mins plus - pretty rubbish

We sometimes stop here when we are about to go on our travels to get a decent coffee , the staff have been there for years and are really pleasant it’s not a sit down although there is a table you could stand at .

Lovely lunch at the Miller and Carter in Chelmsford today.Food was delicious and our Waitress Gay was so professional and friendly.She is a credit to your company.

Fast and tasty food for a great price. Great place to go for quickly, easy sit-in lunch.

First time using this Chinese takeaway and the food was spot on! Called to order and was ready for me on time to collect for when I requested it. Emily who served me at the front counter and took the phone order was lovely and cheered me up after a bad day with her friendly character and customer service. Easy to get too, parking is no issue, will definitely be my new go to Chinese!

three times that I have been here . Visiting from Danbury. Not far that's for sure. First let's start on the fish . It is very good quality. Had cod twice and on the third occasion had a middle skate. All time the fish was very good. Batter little thick . Now this is the bad points three occasions the chips looked like they were in needing some more time in the fryer. And every time they are cold and just poor quality . Then on two occasions had the curry sauce and if I was looking for a good wallpaper paste then I've just found it. And again cold . Then to add more problems to the meal. Walking out to the car the paper carrier bag handle broke with the bag on the floor. If I was the owners I would look at these problems and try the chips and other items. And listen to the customers. You have good fish but lack the finishing parts to make great fish meal . Good luck

We decided to try this take away after seeing it in the ratings in the Essex Chronicle. We were definitely not disappointed! We have tried virtually every Chinese in Chelmsford and have finally found what we have been looking for - great food, served hot at reasonable prices!! Will be our regular point of call from now on and would recommend to everyone 😊😊😊

I like coming here mainly to watch the car park carnage from above it's funny watching idiots driving up the wrong way only to confront someone trying to leave the right way then arms start flapping. I normally have a big breakfast which overall is OK for the price but I always get guts ache after. I'm sure they scrape left over food onto your plate but who knows. I have always found the staff polite but also as other people have noted sometimes they don't have everything. I like that it's normally quiet there too maybe again it has something to do with the quality of the food.

Visited Chelmsford for some shopping and stopped in here on the way home. Had Gary as a server who seated us and served us quickly. I have to say I never expect much from a Toby but value but the food was pipping hot and spot on. I could not fault it. It was busy but service was very smooth. Would definitely revisit this branch again. Went with two friends as well and they all had a great experience too. 5*

Ridiculous booking system. Given up trying.

I have kfc every week I have been disappointed tonight again for the last 3 weeks this branch has nailed it but tonight it's very bad so much so that I have taken pictures which I generally wouldn't I asked for 1 piece of breast meat only got drum sticks the chips was cold and the beans were black and crusty must have been kept warn for ages unfortunately I can't seem to find how I can post the picture .all kfc is hit and miss and tonight I missed

Absolutely alfull breakfast Stone cold and under cooked bacon. Sent it back and they warmed it in the microwave and brought it back even the toast which was then soggy NEVER AGAIN

We come in here all the time and it’s always been pretty good. Last week though I had to return my coffee as it was cold which they happily replaced. This week they brought our hot drinks over and I then had to request the cakes we’d ordered which they’d forgotten. The girl did grab them but I had to go and find her as I’d ordered cream for my scone which was missing. I politely requested it and got a filthy look as she was so busy chatting to colleagues. She brought it over and slammed it down on the table and stormed off like it had been my fault she’d not brought it and I’d interrupted her socialising!! A bit of retraining required I think!!
