Amazing lunch, really good atmosphere and great service from our waitress Hannah. We will Definitely be returning soon. I had the Roast Beef and the Banana Choux Bun which was incredible.

Sirloin of Roast Beef was lovely, side of cauliflower cheese was delicious. Our waitress Hannah was very helpful and accommodating. Will definately be coming back.

I can't say enough good things about the service at this restaurant. “The staff here truly cares about their guests. The food was fantastic not rushed and plenty of options to choose on starters, mains, and deserts. We all had starters which were cooked to perfection. We had so many choices from Devon Crab cake which was one of the best crab cakes, I have eaten to Calamari, pate and even scallops with king prawns. All our starters were beautifully plated, not just thrown together. Our mains, I had chicken parmigiana, my friends had fish and chips they said best they have had this year and the seabass looked amazing that was served to our nearby table. The skewers were also not only look amazing but after trying my friend was amazed how much flavour it had. We delighted by the choice of desserts and after three courses, we are already arranging a second visit.

Had a lovely meal with friends today, roast dinner was the best I’ve eaten in a while. Staff were all lovely and very friendly, atmosphere was very calm and had a great time. If you are looking for a lovely afternoon out then would def recommend this pub, great for adults and kids!

I went to this pub for lunch on Wednesday 10th April with a friend. We were a little late for the time we booked the table, as I had got caught in a traffic jam on the A130. Evidently, I was not the only late person that had got caught in the traffic problem. Our waitress, Diane, was friendly and helpful. The bar staff were equally friendly, being greeted with a smile by staff is lovely. The food was superb, came up nice and hot, even the coffee was hot, great prices, definitely worth a visit.

So glad the Fox and Raven is open again after a year or so closed for a refurb, the new place looks great, food is always good and the staff very friendly and welcoming and happy to have a chat. Thanks to Tom, Rochelle and the team. The pub quiz which started recently every other Monday has been a great night out every time so far, have even won a couple of bottles of wine! Looking forward to the summer months sitting in the new look garden overlooking the fields.

Excellent service and food was quick. They did get one of our orders wrong but they refunded us and were very good about it. They accept dogs and are all really friendly. Would 100% recommend. The pork belly and hallumoni fries are absolutely divine. They were also excellent with our severe allergies and were extremely accommodating.

Met one of my friends for lunch today and he booked this pub as it is local to him. Service was both friendly and good. Food was delicious and surprisingly, at this price point, freshly prepared. I opted for Duck & Hoisin pizza as it sounded a little unusual, I was most surprised that even the base was freshly prepared. All in all a good experience, thoroughly recommended and great value.

Great meal for all at Fox and Raven again. The skews are really good and daughter loved the vegan burger. Our trainee waitress Ioana was lovely and smiley and her training partner Amy was very calm and knowledgeable (good job). Overall really good.

Very disappointed with the Fox & Raven. We were seated with 10 minutes & waitress took our order, drinks then took some 20 minutes to arrive in two stages. Didn't have everything we wanted from the menu so made other choices which were OK. Food took a further half hour to arrive and again was served in stages. Waitress was very apologetic but it was clear other customers were getting frustrated by the service. A table near us gave up & walked out. Management need to put more staff in the kitchen to cope with demand at busy periods. The whole experience took 2 hours with just one if us having a desert. Wish I'd read the reviews before visiting as I'm sorry to say we won't be back.

Oh dear, where to start. Ordered 2 drinks shortly after sitting down and kept waiting for them a bit too long. Starters also were slow to arrive but very tasty. After that things went downhill. Having waited half an hour for mains to arrive a Server wanders up holding them and asks if we've had them already? Looks like they had sat on the pass at least 10 minutes drying up. Struggled to get anyone to take a desert order and only when we were about to leave, quite fed up, were we told it was being plated up if we still wanted it. Wished we had said no. Also got a luke warm espresso. No one to make a card payment too but scrabbled enough cash together to leave on the table and make a hasty exit.

Six of us booked for Sunday dinner at 5pm and upon arrival we was told our table wasn’t ready and to look at the menu because a lot was missing and we might not wanna stay.. (thanks for the phone call to pre warn us!..) We sat under the glass pyramid and it was cold and draughty so wasn’t great. The starter came out which was garlic bread and was more bread than garlic, then the roast beef dinner which I was looking forward too was also terrible it consisted of one and a half slices of dry beef and the wrong vegetables which were all cold and roast potatoes which looked like they was from a tin. Even the kids chicken burger bun was hard and crusty and the veg was dried out. We sent all the food back and left the pub hungry.

Good food and very good service a good selection of drinks but only 2 ales very quiet on Monday but that's probably the same everywhere in January

It was ok. First visit since refurb, we were there 2 hours with waits between courses. The dish chosen wasn't available (should've been told this upon seating) no crackling or baked apples for roast pork. If there's missing items, customers should be informed. The waitress was lovely and tried her best with the lack of items from the kitchen. I'd go again for a snack and a drink, however I would ask not to be sat next to the smokey fire with ashes coming out past the grill, I also need to wash my coat now as it smells of bonfires.

Since the reopening of the Fox and Raven , we have visited 5 times. A wobbly 4th visit but today was excellent. My Dads 78th meal out. Food is really nice and good value for money. I do need to call out Rochelle. A fantastic woman, brilliant at her job, dealt with an initial grumpy customer (me) and turned the whole thing round. A credit to the whole team and we hope Rochelle is there on our next visit. Thank you

Food was great, we had toddlers with us and dogs everyone was so friendly.

Came to the Fox and Raven for an evening meal with our 3 children. We hadn’t booked but as soon as we walked in we were greeted and seated by the staff who couldn’t be more welcoming. The lady who looked after us introduced herself as Amber and brought the children menus, some colouring for them and a different selection of menus offering some wonderful dishes. The food was amazing and general vibe/atmosphere was wonderful. Amber took the time to talk to our children and they all loved her, as did we! She is a credit to the team and we will return not just because of the quality of the food but to see her again. Must also mention the decent portion sizes! A lovely, last minute family evening had by us and a new favourite local place to go. Thankyou also to the barman Ronny (Ronnie?) I think he was called, who also made sure we had a lovely time. I don’t know our waitress’ name but despite how busy her area was she was the PERFECT level of chatty and friendly. She was attentive and got us all extra custard and peas when the order wasn’t quite what the menu said (sea bass!) Nothing was too much and she is a real asset to the pub. Food took a while but it was all lovely and hot and delicious and it was a really busy day. The manager who greeted us was really friendly and the pub looked really fresh and clean. Will be spreading the word that the pub is back better than ever.

Visited between Christmas and New Year . There was a party of 10 of us. The place was not crowded, but there were a few other tables full. Our drinks order was taken quite quickly by a polite, friendly waitress as was our food order & the food was very nice but the wait for our food & between courses was rather annoyingly too long. Overall an enjoyable visit, but they need to improve on timing.

We were a family group of 6 adults and a three year old. They meals were brought out two at a time with quite a gap in-between which meant people sitting with their food getting cold whilst waiting for others to be served. But the worst thing was our three year old grandson got his meal last!!! That should never happen. When I pointed this out as we paid, we received an apology. It's a shame because we used to eat there often. The food was nice but I don't think we will rush back.

Nice pub in terms of looks. Service was slow to begin with but picked up. Food wise - expensive for what was quite bland food - starters seemed like mostly frozen food that had been fried and didn't taste of much. Main courses, steak was good, skewers very underwhelming and not sure a dry slaw with a pot of sauce on the side works very well. Signature burger was fine but again quite tasteless. Lovely place but food needs work - not currently good enough to justify the high prices.
