We sometimes stop here when we are about to go on our travels to get a decent coffee , the staff have been there for years and are really pleasant it’s not a sit down although there is a table you could stand at .

On Christmas Day 2016, we were staying in a hotel near to the M & S Simply Food shop at the BP petrol Station. We had not booked to eat breakfast at the hotel and we had no food in our hotel room. So we went to M&S Simply Food with the intent of buying a ready to eat snack, and we spotted that there was a Wild Bean Cafe inside the food shop, and they were serving hot breakfast rolls with tea or coffee. There was a really long queue to order this hot food. I was so surprised as I thought that we were the only people to have no food on Christmas morning! Anyway, our turn came and we ordered a bread roll with hot sausages and a big cappuccino coffee each. The rolls tasted great and so did the coffee and it was a very reasonable price, too. How wonderful that this cafe, petrol station, and food shop are open 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. There is a high table near to the food counter and some high stools, so that you can comfortably sit inside this warm place and eat your hot food. We will most definitely return here for breakfast again when we are in the area. I loved the place!

January 25, 2025, I attended the Burns Night celebration at Galvin Green Man, a historic pub and restaurant near Chelmsford, Essex. The evening was a delightful blend of Scottish tradition and culinary excellence. The event featured a four-course menu priced at £48 per person, accompanied by Scottish bagpipes and the traditional haggis ceremony. The dishes were thoughtfully prepared, reflecting the restaurant's commitment to seasonal and local ingredients. The ambiance was enhanced by the historic setting of the pub, which dates back to 1341, providing a cozy and authentic atmosphere. The staff were attentive and knowledgeable, contributing to a memorable experience. While the food was exceptional, the overall experience of the Burns Night celebration at Galvin Green Man was truly enjoyable, offering a perfect blend of tradition, atmosphere, and high-quality cuisine.
