The best restaurants in Aspley and Woburn Central Bedfordshire East of England

Incredibly cozy, great food and friendly hosts! Its unnassuming from the outside, but after stepping inside we knew we had found a secret gem. Food was great too! We shared the fisherman platter which was incredible.

Think place has lost its mojo because of lack staff and possible change of ownership. Starters ok, main course average [eg green beens with broiled so well over done]....to top it all off...they realised that it was my wifes b'day as we were leaving and rushed to bring sparklers. The pistachio icecream was low grade and awful. Been regularly going but will not return again. Should have stuck to Nanna's in woburn sands!!!

Amazing visit to The Green Man! Friendly and polite staff, beautiful cosy setting and very clean, all our food was absolutely delicious and cooked to perfection! We will be back soon!

We went to the Blue Orchid. The staff were friendly, there was only two The decore was very nice and made the place look upmarket. We found the menu was not as good as others we have been to. The food, when provided, was OK.

We were here for the Christmas Afternoon Tea on 3/12. This is a pre Christmas ritual for us and yet again the whole experience was outstanding. We used to do Christmas Afternoon Tea at the Ritz in London but this is far better. Every year the menu improves and this year was no exception. Food and service was all great and we will do it again next Christmas. We will however also visit during the year as the menu is changed 5 times a year and it is always a great experience.

We love this place and visit often, but this weekend it was our wedding anniversary, the lovely ladies even brought us an anniversary card, it made us feel very special this was so sweet. The staff are always very welcoming, kind and professional, whenever we visit, and the food is always amazing and so fresh, Woburn Thai is definitely one of the best Thai restaurants we have ever been to.

Great staff in a beautiful little pub. Small inside, but they have a brai shack at the back, which will be wonderful in the summer, I imagine. Didn't eat, but met the chef and he was lovely/charming!! Disco bingo was fun too..... would definitely return!!!!!

Just popped in for their advertised coffee and cake. Coffee was pretty good but the carrot cake was exceptional. Staff were very friendly and happy to give their option on their favourite cake.

Guys you need to try this place you won’t be disappointed. Everything is amazing. A little different and that makes the difference the mock tails at delicious 😋

For ease I will list the many faults with our visit rather than an essay about the horrific and dangerous service we received from this restaurant: - table booked for 5pm, waited 40 minutes to be sat down as the previous table were yet to finish their meal - once seated we were advised a large amount of the menu was unavailable so were left with a very slim choice of meals - ordered a Diet Coke and was given a full fat coke, being diabetic and pregnant this was tested before consuming so made staff aware and ordered another. Was presented with ANOTHER full fat coke after explaining to the staff how important it is due to being diabetic so opted for a bottle whilst they checked their pumps. Turns out they had both hooked up to full fat coke which is beyond negligent - during our meal no one checked if our food was okay or offered us any extra drinks so we had to go back to the bar ourselves to reorder - when presented with the bill they had charged us for the 2 incorrect full fat cokes AND an additional bottle of Diet Coke that was never ordered - they also added the service charge to our bill which quite frankly is laughable considering the service we received and the huge health risk caused by their negligence No apology was offered for the experience, Safe to say we will not return

I had food here, the quality of beef was poor. There is not a lot of competition here. I won’t b coming back. you would really not want drive to eat here.

The current fish & chip deal is fantastic and was great to find that it included gluten free haddock as my wife cannot have the traditional batter. Lakeisha was so helpful and Jo and Ben were very funny when they arrived for their shifts. Thank you to all - we thoroughly enjoyed our impromptu 'meal out' as we sat inside to eat.
