Fratelli in Central Bedfordshire

Think place has lost its mojo because of lack staff and possible change of ownership. Starters ok, main course average [eg green beens with broiled so well over done]....to top it all off...they realised that it was my wifes b'day as we were leaving and rushed to bring sparklers. The pistachio icecream was low grade and awful. Been regularly going but will not return again. Should have stuck to Nanna's in woburn sands!!!

We went for lunch nd took our 1y granddaughter. The table had been rated with. High chair in place plus some crayons with the children’s menu. Her food was brought promptly and the staff were so kind. Menu was perfect in as much as we could choose a small snacky type Mel or. Full 3 course lunch. I eat fish as well as a mainly plant based diet and found the menu both easy to navigate and varied. Even more diversity would be good but it was all delicious!

One of the nicest Italian meals I’ve had. Love the varied menu, not just pizza and pasta. Had great selection of fish and seafood which is my favourite and you don’t often get on a menu around here. Lovely character to the building and our room we were put in. Great location, Woburn is a pretty little village. Little pricey but worth it, especially for a special occasion. Which it was, my birthday. Definitely go again.

Had a really lovely evening with the family. Amazing food, great experience and all round perfect night to celebrate a birthday!

Thank you to the amazing staff at Fratelli's this evening (20/01/25), especially our wonderful waitress, and compliments to the chef! 😊 From the moment we arrived, we were well taken care of. There were five of us, and every dish was not only delicious but also beautifully presented. It was my son’s 12th birthday, and the staff made it extra special by surprising us with a birthday dessert complete with firework candles. Highly recommend Fratelli’s for both romantic meals and family/friends gatherings. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, creating a lovely atmosphere. Thank you Fratelli's 😊

We had a fabulous evening at Fratelli's of Woburn to celebrate my wife's birthday. The food was superb, and the atmosphere of the quaint restaurant added to the special occasion. Visited yesterday evening with two friends and had one of the nicest meals I have had out in such a long time. I had Arancini to start which was amazing! And the Pollo Boscaiola for main, this was one of the nicest chicken dishes I’ve ever eaten! We will 100% be back. Would also like to mention we had a lovely waitress serving us who was very attentive. (Believe she was South African!)

Amazing place, Steven and the team of wonderful friendly staff, that go above and beyond to make sure you have everything you need during your meal. Super cute decor so perfect for date nights, meals with friends or family meals, absolutely delicious mouth watering food - chef's kiss, definitely recommend coming here for food my hubby's favourite meal is called Pollo Romana, my daughter's is the carbonara, I had a linguine polpette it was delicious. Then there's the cocktails too, pineapple sours is my favourite, my hubby loves the espresso martini’s too. Definitely try the homemade salted caramel cheesecake pure heaven.

1st visit to this Italian restaurant restaurant and definitely won’t be the last. Great atmosphere and friendly service. The food was excellent from start to finish. One of the best meals I have had for a very long time. A bit more expensive than I would normally pay but worth every penny.

Server was friendly but it was all about him and his life stories. Food was very tasty but very very expensive. Eating out is an absolute pleasure but this is another example of hugely overpricing. Go the American way guys, free refills on soda. Customers come away so much happier and you will still be in profit.

Booked Fratillis for our corporate lunch. The food was amazing, as were the staff. Nothing was to much trouble, we will definitely be using them again. We would highly recommend them.

The manager greeted us and was extremely accommodating about where we sat (my husband's autistic and where we sit can really affect him). All the staff were friendly but Claire really stood out. She was attentive, friendly and efficient. A genuinely lovely person. The food was tasty and piping hot. My husband said the lasagne was one of the best he's had. I had a zombie cocktail which tasted great and was visually pleasing. Didn't manage to catch the drama but the bubble popped and smoke swirled around. The care taken with the drinks was exceptional. The ice cube in my G&T had cucumber inside of it! Allow extra time to park as the onstreet parking fills up quite quickly. Having read other reviews we had a couple of back up options in case we couldn't park outside. Having had a disappointing experience at a nearby competitor we were delighted with the food, service and price here. Absolutely recommend!

It's nice to have a polite and friendly host that enriches your dining experience. On top of this the food was fantastic.

The service was very slow, we waited almost a hour for our pasta dishes. Your staff looked rushed off their feet with online orders. We got charged for the service and no any one of them apologised for the lateness of the food Also your staff don't communicate, we got asked twice if we wanted more drinks because they could see us waiting. Really unacceptable, no any one of them removed the service fee, the food wasn't cheap either..we paid over £100 pounds.

This restaurant is amazing! They seated a table of 6 of us and we all had 3 courses plus sides. Food was quick and delicious. There was a small issue with our meal but they corrected it and compensated us very quickly and graciously. I’m gluten free and although there wasn’t tonnes of options on the menu for me, this chicken turned out to be absolutely incredible and genuinely might be the best dinner I’ve ever eaten! 1000% will be returning.

The service was excellent and the food superb. Not the cheapest in the area but certainly one of the best. Only thing that lets it down is the parking. The located within the village of Woburn means that parking can be difficult due to resident only restrictions. This is compounded by a total lack of disabled parking facilities.

Table booked yesterday evening for tonight, turned up, no record of booking - even though message left on answerphone and they returned call, which I then returned. Turned away, have been twice before but never again, whole experience very upsetting and no real offer of a solution - only you can have a table but would have to leave in an hour and 15 mins. Was even able to show proof of calls on my phone

We come to celebrate my birthday and couldn't of asked for better service or food. We was very lucky to have Steven as our waiter for the evening. He recommended a lovely wine , he then recommended the food from the specials list which my dad had all 3 courses from and absolutely loved! My dad mentioned briefly it being my birthday at the start of the evening and come dessert, Steven checked who was have dessert and bought out mine with a candle and happy birthday on the plate. A really lovely touch. We are still talking about how amazing Steven's service was this morning, he really is a credit to your team. And the food was 100/10. We will be back again! Thank you!

Absolutely perfect evening celebrating our second wedding anniversary here tonight. Our waiter Steven was an absolute delight and a real asset to the restaurant. It’s such a unique and cute little restaurant, one we used to visit quite often when we first dated before moving away. Returning tonight was such a great decision. The cheese cake is out of this world!

Thank you to the staff at Fratelli. They allowed us to dine outside during Saturday lunch time. It was quite breezy but thankfully they provided us with flame tower patio heater. Very attentive and kind.

Took my other half for her Birthday, we'd never been before and I made the booking on a gut feel. Atmosphere was very pleasent, staff were friendly an accomodating. We were served our food very quickly which normally puts me off but hot dang! That food was second to none, absolutely blew us away, I look forward to going again and trying more from the menu.

Always topppp best Italian in Woburn provence

Superb, last minute decision to eat out and they accommodated us even though they were fully booked.

We were a group of 9 people.One couldn’t make it so popped in on the day to cancel their order. Fratelli would not refund the £10 deposit even thought we paid £590 for our meal. Absolute disgrace and although we come to Woburn every year we will definitely not be coming back. So disappointing.

This place looked really nice, it had friendly waiters. The food was beyond bland. It was the level of a microwave meal. The prices of a fancy luxury restaurant. I regret going there. The lasagne tasted like cheap canned tomatoes. The risotto lacked in both consistency and flavour. The waiters were very nice, and the backyard cozy.

Wonderful meal at Fratelli Woburn. We had the Aranchini, dough balls, bruschetta - all excellent but the arancini was the best. Main was the ravioli, crab pasta and prawn linguine, all lovely. Our waiter Steven was amazing, friendly and very welcoming, would definitely come back!

Lovely little restaurant in Woburn. The food was beautiful I would highly recommend. And the desserts are not to be missed. I had the specials cioccolato Panna cotta.

Never eaten here as I’m often disappointed re Italian out. However, Fratelli food was utterly delicious. I love to cook and can be quite critical but tonight was excellent. Arancini, scallops, calamari starters v tasty - 1 point, mayonnaise/dressing with the scallops would benefit from garlic/seasoning. V tasty salads alongside starters - properly dressed/fresh/crunchy. Mains: excellent mushroom/truffle ravioli, seafood pasta (off menu re creamy white wine sauce rather than tomato base;)) and yummrely rich parpadelli manzo. All the seafood was so tender and super tasty. Great cooking. No room for pud (as cake at home) but v nice touch of a birthday candle sparkler and excellent gelato surprise courtesy of the staff. Waiter was wonderful - Steven; service excellent; atmosphere lovely (despite being busy on a Monday evening). My new favourite 😋

My wife and I came here for dinner whilst on a weekend away and despite the food which we cannot have faulted, the seating, atmosphere and conversations overheard from the staff massively let it down. Firstly, the restaurant is very small, it looks lovely and the interior is decorated really nicely but there are a couple of tables which have definitely been squeezed in to try and get extra covers. If we had been seated in the main restaurant area, I don't think we would have had such a negative experience, but we were seated on one of two tables directly next to the bar in an area of it's own, with people constantly walking back and forth past our table. There is also another tall table on it's own, directly outside the toilets, with both bar stalls facing out. If we had of been seated here for a booking we would have left the restaurant - it's not the type of table you want to sit at for a very expensive meal. The one-on-one service we received at our table was fine, the waitresses were polite but unfortunately if you are going to have tables situated right next to the bar which is also the place staff congregate in between serving tables, the conversations need to be kept professional as we could hear absolutely everything. The guy behind the bar was moaning about the music playlist, and it felt like we were sat in the middle of their common room with waitresses constantly standing around by our table waiting for drinks to be made. The table in front of us (a family of 3) left cash on the table after receiving their bill. When who I assume was the manager (dressed in normal clothes, managing the bookings) took the cash to the till, he moaned about the tip or lack of tip that was left and said "Are you joking me?" to the barman. The restaurant is expensive, and taking your family out for dinner can be something that many people are not privileged enough to do. You cannot assume that everybody can afford to tip, and quite frankly the service is not worth tipping. We heard everything he said, making us feel very pressured to tip and he made no effort to be quiet when moaning about the customers. A further table complained about their food, and the manager and a few of the staff members stood around the bar had a full conversation about it - slagging the customer off and moaning about the fact she had sent her food back, laughing and not taking it seriously. The restaurant itself clearly puts itself on the higher end range, with a more expensive price point, but the atmosphere and service does not reflect this. The saving grace of our meal was the food which we thoroughly enjoyed, but you aren't just paying the for food, as a customer you are paying for the experience of eating out. We were also put in the awkward position of a service charge being added to the bill which I would have usually asked to remove after an experience like the one we had, but after overhearing the manager himself make a comment about the table in front of us not leaving a good enough tip I felt too uncomfortable to say anything. Would recommend a takeaway if anything.

We were bitterly disappointed with both the service and the quality of the food. My wife had muscles as a starter they were the smallest I've ever seen and my scallops (3)were covered in breadcrumbs and on a layer of tasteless white sauce. My wife's steak which was £ 35.00 was tiny and overcooked...we complained they couldn't care less. Never again.

Six of us went for bottomless brunch. The music was so couldn't hear ourselves talk. When we got the bill they had added five pounds more each than was advertised. We asked they charged the advertised price as they hadn't notified us of any change but they refused.

We were staying in Cranfield, but the kid said he wanted good pasta, so I found this lovely Italian restaurant with great vibes and excellent service. We had the garlic bread with mozzarella first, which was truly generous and tasty, with real cheese that forms threads when the slices are separated. I then had the risotto gamberi, and the kids had the linguine carbonara, children size, which was perfect for him and came with an ice cream cone. My risotto was flavourful, with smooth rice and proper chewiness in the shrimps and beautifully cooked cherry tomatoes in a mild but spicy "sauce." The carbonara had great aroma, and while the kid wanted the bacon in smaller bits, I thought more substantial pieces of pancetta were definitely a plus.

Came here on a complete whim after leaving Woburn Safari Park, we struck gold! Great food, friendly staff and fantastic service, will definitely be coming back. 5 stars from me!

I don't know which member of staff drives the blue SUV, but I certainly wouldn't trust being served or having food prepared by someone who drives the way he does. Overtaking in the Deer Park at high speed. Irresponsible and highly dangerous!

Fantastic food, great choice of superb Italian cuisine. Service is always great. Parking can be a pain, very limited residents only close by.

Lovely food and overall a great experience, only marked down because the Parma ham had a funny taste has if it was old or off and sliced to thick. Mushroom & leek pasta was so delicious and our food was piping hot.

Average food served with a lack of customer service or empathy. We certainly weren’t welcomed with smiles or made to feel like we were wanted. We will choose one of the many other places to eat in future when dining in Woburn.

Our second visit with friends to whom we had recommended Fratelli in Woburn. Food is outstanding. All freshly made with modifications to menu items willingly offered to suit our vegetarian tastes.

Two friends and myself visited Fratelli's last week - It was absolutely lovely. We were all pleased with our meals. Spaghetti Carbonara is a particular favourite of mine, and it didn't disappoint! In fact I would say it was one of the best I've ever had. The food was served in good time, was all really tasty, and the restaurant was lovely. I'm happy to give the full five stars, and look forward to a return visit.
