A wonderful, warm welcome on our first visit here. A lovely atmosphere throughout, but we particularly enjoyed the cosy area downstairs with comfortable sofas, atmospheric lighting and a chilled vibe. Coffee was excellent and the choice of delicious cakes was a lovely surprise. Definitely returning here.

Decided to try Lambdens of Woburn, after a nice walk around the surrounding area. We went for the coffee/Tea and cake deal. And I have to say the Victoria Sponge that we went for had to be the best tasting 😋 cake I have ever had. Highly recommended 👌

Lovely grade listed, and tasteful decorated building. Warm staff, the gentleman showed us around to see how they'd changed the building to allow for intimate gatherings and live jazz. Had a lovely fresh home cooked quiche lunch and superb coffee in the courtyard garden. Hope to visit again!

We had the most wonderful Sunday lunch at Lambdens of Woburn café and bistro in Woburn Sands. From start to finish, it was an absolute delight! The coffee was amazing, and the Ploughman’s lunch and toasted sandwiches were simply divine—beautifully prepared, full of flavour, and incredibly generous in portion size. Every bite was a treat! The staff were absolutely lovely, especially Arthur, Rosie, and Neil, who made us feel so welcome. Arthur took the time to chat with us, sharing fascinating stories about the history of the venue and the surrounding area, which added a really special touch to our visit. The ambience was just perfect, with twinkling lights and authentic décor that created a warm, inviting atmosphere. We also loved the artwork on display, which is available for purchase—such a unique touch! We can’t recommend Lambdens of Woburn highly enough and will definitely be returning. If you’re looking for a cosy spot with excellent food, friendly service, and a charming atmosphere, this is the place to go!

Just returned from lunch at Lambdens, my Sister and I treated our Mum for her Birthday. From the moment we arrived we were well looked after, they called us by our first names, wished my Mum a happy Birthday (they even sang) and served us delicious food. Two of us had the soup which was absolutely delicious, the bread was super tasty too! One of us opted for quiche, this was also really good. We all ended lunch with a slice of cake each, so yummy! I would thoroughly recommend visiting. We're looking forward to going back soon.

My Husband and I were warmly welcomed by Will, who had told us we could sit wherever and that there was a downstairs cosy area with sofas too so we headed there. We were pleasantly surprised to see how amazing it was down there with a fire place going too! We went for lunch and ended up not only being served by Will but Arthur too - the owner! I ordered the pork fillet and mango sandwich and my Husband went for The Club and I can honestly say, that was the best damm sandwich I have ever, ever had. Doorstep sandwiches, lovely homemade apple and celery slaw with crisps - I couldn't eat the whole plate the portion size was brilliant ( I ate the sandwich though!) It was a lovely first time visit and pit stop before a very long walk. We cannot wait to come back soon! Thank you! X

After a long walk in Woburn Deer Park, we were looking for a place to have a hot cup of tea and whilst most of the pubs were fully booked due to it being a Sunday afternoon, we almost missed Lambdens of Woburn Café & Bistro but were glad that we noticed their sign and walked in. Walked downstairs to the cozy nooks and sat ourselves against the massive fireplace. The fruit scone and carrot cake that we had along with the tea were superb. Such a hidden gem.

Wonderful, had only called in initially for a cocktail during happy hour but it was suggested that we venture downstairs to the quirky and extremely comfortable lounge area, what a treat. I’m not too familiar with cocktails but did enjoy those that I had, however, Helen, my partner who is more familiar said that in her opinion they were the best she’d ever had, principally down to a couple of personal touches added by the extremely pleasant, polite and hard working young gentleman serving them up. We decided to eat there too, again the right decision, we had a variation of tapas which was absolutely beautiful, perfectly presented, hot, fresh and genuinely tasty. The place had a lovely relaxed atmosphere, where we were settled looking into the quirky fireplace the sofa was so welcoming, simply felt totally chilled out during our visit . Lovely, professional yet charismatic staff/management, Arthur, a lovely gentleman, very much intent on making our experience there unforgettable, in which he absolutely succeeded, the whole evening was so perfect, along with the food that we chose. An evening that made the beginning of our holiday just right. Thankyou to those chaps for making this so. Wholeheartedly recommended.

I stumbled across this spot with friends whilst visiting Woburn. We popped in for a coffee and my friend ordered a Victoria sponge - I’m not a cake person so thought I was happy to pass - until I tried a bite. Oh. My. Word. THE MOST INCREDIBLE Victoria sponge - in fact - the most incredible cake (period!) I have ever tasted. A few weeks on, I hadn’t stopped thinking about the cake, so I visited again today with my Mum, who was equally as impressed. The cafe is owned by a lovely couple, the friendly gentleman works front of house and his talented wife is responsible for the cakes (& much more no doubt!). We sat out in the rear garden/courtyard, you could mistake it for being in your Grandmas loving garden. Aside from the Vicky sponge, the whole place has a lovely, homely, cosy feel. There is also lots of inside space and cosy snug downstairs which would be perfect for colder days. I can’t wait to visit again and try some of the other menu items which look equally as mouthwatering!

I came here for lunch with friends, my 7 year old daughter and my friend’s baby. When I called to book they kindly talked me through the layout of the restaurant to ensure we were booked at a table where we’d be most comfortable. When we arrived they couldn’t have been more helpful in getting the pram in and ensuring we were settled. Service was friendly and attentive and the food was delicious! Generous portions which everyone thoroughly enjoyed. Cocktails were interesting, delicious and great value at 2 for £15. Highly recommended, we’d love to come back!

Ridiculously good!!!! What a find!!! Have been recommended a few times to visit here, so glad we did today!! Look through the window and it looks tiny, but, there are a few dining rooms including a very snuggly basement living room, so venture inside and you'll get a warm welcome. We had a homemade quiche/salad and a ploughman's. Generous portions and what made it amazing was the quality. A fab cocktail and wine menu, rude not to try some. We will definitely return. Seems lots of locals were there and enjoying....says a lot!! Woburn has some excellent places to dine and socialise now more than ever. If I could of found tummy space we would have had cake, all homemade and looked fabulous.

I've always said I would rather ok food and great service, than great food and only ok service. Well the service was as great as it could be and I dont just mean they made a huge fuss of us, were super attentive and made sure they laid the napkins on our laps (they didnt and thats fine by us!), what I mean is it was just 'good, old fashioned' service. Charming in fact. I popped in last week to enquire about visiting for dinner as we had a charity voucher to put towards our meal, but it was for Jan and being the last week of the month and having an ill wife at home, I feared we had missed the 'use by date'. Rosie told me that she would get Will to message/call and took my mobile. That afternoon Will did indeed message reassuring us that we could come in Feb instead and wished my wife a speedy recovery. Fast forward to tonight and we met Will, saw Rosie (she was just finishing) and also got to meet Jasper and Arthur too. I cant really describe it any other way than I have - just bloody charming, the lot of 'em! So do I hope you visit them too / do I recommend you do? Well yes of course. 100%. And i havent forgotten the food in this review, it was definitely not just 'ok', it was a lovely selection of tapas that was tailored for us as we typically try to avoid dairy and the guys were only too accommodating to do this for us on menu items where possible. Thanks all, we had a lovely visit and will 100% be back soon. Nic & Ange x

My friend and I were in Woburn and looking for a cafe where we could have a cup of tea and a catch-up. We went into Lambdens and had a LOVELY time. We were served by a young lady called Ruby, who was very friendly and very professional. Unfortunately, I do not live locally, but my friend, who does, will certainly be back. A real gem of a cafe/restaurant.

I popped in for a light bite after the Sunday market in Woburn and felt I could stay all day! My quiche was delicious, served with really good salads and a perfect Dark and Stormy cocktail to match the weather. I sat downstairs in the Pineapple Lounge which has a really cosy feel with a fire effect, a few comfy sofas and a great collection of decorative pineapples - a hangover from the boutique which used to occupy the space. The boutique is still there - just smaller and a little more luxurious than it was before; well worth a visit while you're there! Great service from fun and friendly staff. The music is spot on and the warm and generous hosts have got the ambience just right! As a Woburn local, I am really grateful for this wonderful addition to an already vibrant village and am sure I will be a frequent visitor. Friday and Saturday night Tapas evenings beckon!

Me and my daughter visited here this morning while waiting for her car to be fixed, this little cafe had so much choice of food and drink and the lovely ladies who run it are so friendly and helpful!! Food is excellent, fresh and huge portions for a very reasonable price, we took their amazing homemade cakes home with us! We're kind of hoping our car breaks down again soon so we can have an excuse to come here again! 😁🤤

Subtlety with enthusiasm Great experience. Firstly finding the way in, fortunately we met someone else visiting who showed us the path. Met as we walked in by young staff very keen to assist. We were seated down the stairs in the lower area. Some reviewers have nit picked about the decor, personally, like many other aspects of the venue, it simply is part of what this place is. Staff, including chef are all young and very enthusiastic. The experience is a selection of fascinating dishes with mostly subtle but fascinating flavours. Personal preference was the bread roll was slightly too salty for my taste and the beef cheek another really strong flavour but that's my view. The fish dishes were both superb, the desserts were both amazing. I was really looking forward to the rhubarb course slightly concerned that is would be challenged by the strength of the rhubarb, but it was pitched perfectly. Lovely experience, a venue with interested friendly staff who clearly cate. Chef was lovely to chat to, obviously very passionate about his craft. One minor observation, we travelled a round trip of maybe 180 miles both needing to drive as part of the journey, so a small selection of cocktails might have been a good option to offer too. Toilet (mixed bathing) clean and functional. Great experience, has potential for future escalating awards
