What a fantastic meal. I can honestly say it was the best Indian food I have eaten in England. The restaurant is a beautiful setting and the staff are attentive polite and friendly. We will definitely eat there again next time we are in Woburn.

What a fantastic place, never fails to impress, we’ve been a few times before and took friends who love an Indian restaurant, they loved it, great food, great service and a cut above the normal Indian restaurant, lucky to have this on our doorstep!

Great food and very attentive service. We had a table for 7 in private room. The presentation of and flavours in the dishes were fantastic. There is plenty of choice and prices are fair considering the quality. Do not over order on the naan bread sharer as it is easily enough for 4-6 people. We also had a couple of cocktail which were delivered with a bit of theatre. I would recommend a visit here.

Lunch thali was good and flavorful. It could have better options in it. Flavours of both currys were similar. I would have preferred dum aloo to not be creamy but cooked with yogurt and red chilies

First time we’ve been to Rai but it’ll not be the last. Staff and food were both first rate as was the service. I had the lamb biryani and it was excellent. The prices are a bit on the high side but not unusual for Woburn. Thanks to Ashish for making our evening so pleasurable.

Love the variety of food here. Authentic, different and mouthwatering. Not your typical Indian. Will be bringing more friends and family to enjoy. Staff are very friendly and restaurant is beautifully decorated. Lovely place. The exterior doesn’t do it justice until you go inside 😉

Our meal was one of the best meals I have ever eaten. The food was wonderful, the service was impeccable, the restaurant had clearly been decorated with attention to detail. The waiters advised on the menu and what they suggested was100% spot on. 5 stars all round.

Make sure you eat before you go as the service is so slow and poor you’ll starve to death! Took our group near an hour to get a drink and over an hour to get any food!! Was packed, looked short staffed, poor/rude service by some. Have been told similar experiences by others but we thought we would try. Certainly won’t be going back there.

Wow absolutely amazing! Service was friendly amd attentive and the food is the equivalent to any 5 star Michelin guide food you'd find in London. Fresh ingredients and authentic flavours, a must to anyone who loves Indian food but doesn't want the typical takeaway style gloop

Best Indian I’ve had in England since coming here 5 years ago. The lamb Saag was sublime. Good ambience too.

Had the Lunchtime VEGETARIAN THALI which was excellent. Presentation, quality of ingredients, taste and quantity was perfect. You get a mix of lots of different dishes and it even includes a traditional desert. This is not your average English style Indian food slapped on a plate and served. It was all super high quality and authentic. They do need to sort the menu out in terms of whats available at different days and different times and there does need too be more cost effective options in the evenings otherwise its special occasions only. I did notice the "Pocket Pleaser Menu" which I strongly suggest they change to "Set Menu", add vegetarian options and make it clear when it's available! As a point of reference..I have spent a lot of time travelling India and Sri-Lanka eating in some of the worlds best restaurants (including Michelin) so I'm a pretty good judge of whats good, whats no and what works and what doesn't!

Great food great experience. Actual authentic Indian food. Most places around the area are not Indian but more Bengali where rai is authentic North Indian cuisine delivering food at a high level. Not too much on the menu which is great as they don’t try to do it all, they do a good selection but it get it right every time Definitely would recommend. Great cocktail bar too!

We visited this restaurant for the first time for a family birthday meal. The restaurant was deceivingly spacious, great ambience and beautiful decor. Staff were friendly and attentive. The food did not disappoint, the lamb chops are a hit, curries were favourable and the was chef happy to make dishes not on the menu. We will definitely return. Thank you!

Not sure if because we went on a day they have their pocket pleaser menu so was quite busy but we found the food average. Dry chicken with starter in particular. Staff were friendly, service was good to start with but as got busier got slower and less attentive. Food was expensive for quality we experienced but drinks were reasonably priced. Overall wouldn’t hurry back

Decor is beautiful, plenty of really friendly staff around and the food is absolutely delicious. My husband said his lamb was incredible and my prawn tawa was so good. If you haven’t been, definitely go!

We'd heard good things about the food here so we went to try it for my birthday celebration. It's a beautiful , well laid out restaurant. The starters, mains and desserts were all delicious. The lamb was perfectly cooked and really tender. I must make a special mention for Chelsea who served us this evening. Very attentive, smiley, chatty and helpful. She really made sure we had a great experience.

Very quiet at lunch time offering a 'Pocket Pleaser' menu - strange name. Curries bland with a tomato bias. The lightest Naan ever. Delicious Gulab Jamun, not too sweet. Reluctant to allow take away of uneaten food. Unable to enjoy a post meal coffee as it was around 14.30 and they wanted us to vacate. Beautiful surroundings and much larger than you would expect from the outside.

This place never disappoints. We managed to get a table for two at quite short notice and received a very warm welcome on arrival from the friendly and attentive staff. The food was absolutely delicious and the atmosphere was great.

Absolutely excellent place to come to when I'm staying away at the hotel next door. The staff greet you really well - ladies always smiling and well presented. Two ladies are a credit to the business. Food is excellent and I love the lamb bhuna. I can sit and grab a quick drink whilst I wait.

Wowza ! Booked, delivered and sooo delighted, Indian Cuisine you smashed it. Your Balti is so flavoursome yet saucy and both the lamb and chicken were soft, succulent and large portions too. The keema and peshwari naans were thick soft and tasty . Nice one

We have had many take-aways from Indian Ocean over the last few years, which are always great, but last night we visited the restaurant to eat-in for the first time. The restaurant is fairly small inside, which gives it a really cosy feel and a nice atmosphere. It's a family owned business and that sets a really lovely, friendly tone to the experience. We had one of the set meals, to try some of the other dishes which we don't normally order with our take-aways. Everything was really tasty and well made. I'd highly recommend the food from Indian Ocean (particularly the garlic chicken tikka, the chicken chilli masala and the chana rice - plus we loved the chilli lamb from the set meal), and if you're looking for a small, cosy, friendly restaurant to eat-in, then I am sure you'll love it here too.
