A fantastic meal again after returning for a special occasion. Very accommodating with any tweaks required for dietary requirements etc. Thanks so much for a lovely evening.

Delicious Sunday Lunch at The Anchor at Aspley Guise . Good service and nice atmosphere. Love all the old pictures with Animal heads on the walls . Can’t wait to go back again! .

Made to feel very unwelcome by the owner. Told to take our shoes off as they were muddy so had to wear just socks on stone cold floor. Food experience mixed, spaghetti bolonaise good though. Lovely bar staff but owner clearly didn't want kids. Many good pubs in Woburn I would choose over this

Fabulous Sunday lunch. Staff amazing, attentive and efficient. Not Nothing to much trouble. Great atmosphere. Great choice of wine! Such a homely friendly place.

From other reviews it seemed a really nice place to go. Our experience was that the staff were pleasant and helpful, but the food I would describe as prepackaged and re arranged. I had a chicken in pepper corn sauce. The chicken was hard and difficult to cut and was best described as being plastic and reformed. The pepper corn sauce I have had better supermarket brands My wife described her soup as being from a can with herbs thrown in, though she did enjoy the lamb which seemed fresh. Over all for the price , we did not think it worth it as there are better restuarants within walking distance

Wow ! I think they had just launched their - South African menu- it’s fantastic-beautifully presented- really well cooked - creating unusual dishes. It’s fantastic- we will be back 10/10

I enjoyed the food here, lovely service by Viola, she showed that she cared about our experience here and took pride in her appearance.

We came about a year ago and had a lovely Sunday Lunch but this time we were disappointed. The roasties were hard and dry and the beef whilst really tender and flavorful was hard to spot on the plate. Two measly slices and the price of course does not reflect value for money. Such a shame as its a lovely place and the waiters are excellent and this is not their fault. We didnt complain at the time. Should have done but there you go lesson learned. Im not saying dont go but if you arent happy say something.
