Ordered 4 meals today, large cod and chips, small cod and chips, battered sausage and chips and finally savaloy and chips. Unlike normal chip shops Churchill chain has moved to boxes rather than wrapped paper and the volume of chips is very small. Boyind this process issue today's offering was poor in terms of quality of chips and fish. Tasteless/oily batter and tasteless fish. Altogether poor. Avoid more for the systematic portionissue but quality today was shockingly bad.
Staff are not very welcoming. You ask for something and it seems too much. Chips are horrible and cola is flat.
Atmosphere is like you are a funeral. Decor is very gloomy too. Feels like Iâm in the Wimpy back in 1982.

I must say, I travel a lot of places and yes fast food is part of the job.
Anyway I had burger n chips, yep definitely kept me going for the rest of the day.
The lady was a conversationalist, had a laugh whilst waiting.
I'm definitely going back again when I'm in the area.
Awesome and thank you.
When visiting our daughter in Essex we thoroughly enjoy having brunch at Queenies .
Good quality food , excellent friendly service and ârealâ bread !
Rude staff and rude management will never use again! Tried to order a pepperoni pizza for my children with pepperoni on one side of it but could not accommodate it as itâs not in policy. Sorry, itâs not in policy to place pepperoni just on one side. After trying to reason with the manager, who was exceptionally rude, talking over me, not allowing me to get a word in, he then proceeds to hang up on me. Disgusting behaviour!
Had a rather tasty meal at this amazing take away. Superb menu and food so fresh. Will definitely be going there regularly. Staff were so pleasant. Thoroughly enjoyed the experience đ đ
I & a friend visited this establishment a few days ago. we had to queue up at the counter. there was only one person serving & one person at the back dealing with the prepping of the jacket potatoes & putting the fillings on the the jackets. There were several different fillings on offer, I had a chilli filling & my friend had a plain one with just butter. she asked for plenty of butter on hers & was given 3 tiny pats of butter. We also had a "hot" drink each, me a coffee & she had a chocolate as the cold soft drinks dispenser was not working & there was only bottles of soft drinks available. . The drinks were luke warm. The chilli filling was very tasty, although a tad more chilli would have been even better. When we checked the bill, my friend saw that she had been charged an extra 10p for the extra tiny pat of butter! we noticed a lot of tables still had dirty plates on them, all in all this is the place for a cheap & tasty lunch at fair prices if you have lots of time. A few extra staff would be nice though, as you wouldn't have to wait so long before getting your meal
Not a great experience, as the shelves were largely empty and everything I asked for wasn't available. No belgian buns AGAIN, blamed on a delivery that hadn't arrived. They used that excuse the last time, and the time before that, and the time before that. The guy behind the counter seemed quite pleased with himself and was more interested in chatting to his colleague than actually wanting to do any work. I won't be back.
