Greggs in Basildon

Not a great experience, as the shelves were largely empty and everything I asked for wasn't available. No belgian buns AGAIN, blamed on a delivery that hadn't arrived. They used that excuse the last time, and the time before that, and the time before that. The guy behind the counter seemed quite pleased with himself and was more interested in chatting to his colleague than actually wanting to do any work. I won't be back.

Why is the food always cold?! Are they not heaters at the till? Really ruins it when you go to eat your breakfast and its stone cold.

The last three visits I popped in and the older member of staff quite rude...she’s twice given me the wrong hot food and got shirty with me for telling her she’s got it wrong, she replied I didn’t make it v clear but I know I did...she was snappy and told me no cash it’s card only, fine, but I paid cash before. Then shouted I was leaving the wrong way, I did say I do know the way I’ve been in here 3 times in a week....food was cold not even warm. Wish she’d said as I wouldn’t have bought it.....disappointed put me off going back, miserable woman....

Popped in for a quick bite to eat. Impressed with the selection of cold and hot snacks and sandwiches. Tried the vegan sausage roll which was fab. Quick, friendly service. Great location in Mayflower Retail Park so easy to park too. Will use again.

Tables were dirty, had to get servette and clean table myself. Husband bought coffee which he said was to small, told no larger cups. Tea for me, had to return to counter to get milk none had been offered. Sausage roll for me barely warm, husband had steak bake which he was told was hot, in fact it was cold, he ask for it to be microwaved, no microwave in shop. While I ate my barely warm sausage roll, husband moaned continually about his steak bake which he had been looking forward to so much, which remained on the table uneaten. he used to go to Brentwood Gregg's before he retired and he said they had the best steak bake ever, thats what he was expecting and did not get. We will never go to Basildon Gregg's again

Great little cafe (take away or eat in) at the Mayflower Retail Park. Friendly efficient staff and great value tasty food. Could do with the floors cleaning a bit more often but otherwise faultless!

Genius addition to Mayflower Retail Park! Nice and clean with friendly efficient staff, who can resist a Greggs sausage roll and a good brew? We'll be back!

just your standard greggs, nice and busy. Good is always good and you know what your getting. Quick and easy and prices are reasonable,

I am glad that Greggs is here. The food and staff are nice. The place is very clean and a lovely layout. Well done you all. Will be back many more times
