Can’t believe I am writing this as have eaten here a lot & normally really good but ordered boneless chicken for me & wife & it was awful 4 pieces of which I can only describe as cardboard , dry & beaten so thin you could probably see through it & when I phoned to complain they said they were to busy to listen, I just hope this isn’t the sign of things to come , Terry from Laindon

The portion size was good, all crammed inside a box. The only trouble was that some of the chips weren't that warm and so they all got cold quite quickly. Also, there were lots of hard and crispy chips, rather than fluffy ones. A bit of a disappointment really.

Don’t bother with this shop!! 50 Minutes wait only to be told they’d lost my order. Tried to palm me off with Goujons and a piece of Cod that had been sitting in the cabinet at least 15 minutes…. I’d ordered 2 Cod and chips. Totally different to CORRINGHAM which I’ve used a few times… food and staff in CORRINGHAM are great. Give Laindon a total miss…. Have something else from another take away!

The best fish and chips I’ve had in a long time. Batter is so light and crispy, it melts in the mouth. We had plaice which was fresh and perfectly cooked, chips were crisp, fluffy inside and not soggy at all and the calamari was just so good. We will definitely be putting this on our Friday night takeaway list for another visit.

Am I wrong in thinking that after every sub you need to change your gloves? I am vegetarian and the lady who served me put pepperoni on the customers sub before serving me. I asked her for a veggie patty, instant hint that I am vegetarian, she got the bread I chose out before changing her gloves and I had to tell her that I am vegetarian in order for her to finally change her gloves. She didn’t swap the bread after touching it… I’ve been a vegetarian for over 20 years and the fact that I received a sub which was pepperoni contaminated is disgusting in my opinion. Want to work with food? Do better.

100 Whitmore Way, Basildon SS14 3JT EnglandDon’t normally leave regieee but I was so impressed! We placed a large order (over £90) and not a single item was missing and they even paid attention to the order notes about the salad too! Food was hot when delivered and no complaints all round!

127Was really looking forward to going out for lunch with my friends celebrating, ordered the bacon sand which came out unbelievably salty could not eat it, it didn’t state on the Menu if it was smoked or unsmoked, they didn’t even offer to take it back or a refund, rude manger made us pay full price when we didn’t even touch our food. Would not recommend
