Subway in Basildon

Am I wrong in thinking that after every sub you need to change your gloves? I am vegetarian and the lady who served me put pepperoni on the customers sub before serving me. I asked her for a veggie patty, instant hint that I am vegetarian, she got the bread I chose out before changing her gloves and I had to tell her that I am vegetarian in order for her to finally change her gloves. She didn’t swap the bread after touching it… I’ve been a vegetarian for over 20 years and the fact that I received a sub which was pepperoni contaminated is disgusting in my opinion. Want to work with food? Do better.

I really like going to this place. I prefer this more than the other Subway in Basildon. The staff are kind both the lady, kevin, and some guys in the kitchen. I see myself eating here more often especially now that they can serve hot drinks.

ordered tuna footlong with salad including red onions and caesar dressing. no dressing which made it very dry, and smothered in fried crispy onions which were impossible to remove. whole baguette was ruined!!! an expensive thing to get wrong and end up in the bin!!! staff need to pay attention and get it right and not just bung in what they think! really not good enough and as a regular customer deters me from ordering again ☹️

Food arrived stone cold driver said he had another stop before mine

Just the driver could not wait 2 sec for me to open the doors so calls 2 times in the rush ect. Otherwise a bit expensive for what it is like all in this app. And to be honest bread is barely tasty but better than the fat bad mc Donald thank you

shame there wss no cheese in the bacon and sausage breakfast

Very disappointed- asked for causer sald dressing, received sweet onion which basically ruined the tuna completely. Also the free pepperoni slice was not sent! Levels of service are seriously lacking, not good enough! No good being early if order is wrong, disgusting!

They added a lot of jalapeño on my nacho’s when I didn’t ask for any, so now I’m getting stomach issues from them

The meatball sub was great as usual. Just let down by the dipper side, the cheese wasn’t melted like it normally is so I didn’t enjoy it. Other than that it was good😊

Driver rude. Didn’t even look at me, had his back turned as he handed me the bag and was on the phone. I tried to speak to him and he walked off. Nanchos were ordered without jalepeno but sent with about 50 of them

Staff are so rude and they open later than stated but close 30 mins befor actual closing time and don't lock doors tell people they aint open yet standing there making there own food

I received the wrong subway, I got a chicken tikka with mayo and not the Bombay bad boy… I also received no sauce for my chicken bites which were cold and no sauce for the wrap

Ordered cookie dough ice cream sent me a vegan version instead that’s got almond milk in and my child has a nut allergy!

can I just let subway staff I enjoy there salads but would prefer my salad to be layered and not in clumps of onion cucumber onions peppers and not big bits of lettuce

ordered a footlong sub meal deal and they delivered a 6"

delivery time kept changing, plus food was cold when it arrived. missing sauce with the new cheesy bites. and had jalapeños on the nachos. when I dint tick the box to have them. nachos was cold, clumpy and soggy by the time they arrived. and FootLocker was a mess. First time leaving a negative review. Food standards very low this time. Usually really good. disappointed

Good food, just extremely disappointed to with the new later opening time. I was a regular Billericay customer, then forced to Pipps hill due to the late opening time, and now the same here too. I'm gutted, as I wont be able to use them during the week as a result.

Came with my father and fiancè. Ordered 3 subs, food was absolutely spot on. Service on the otherhand was a let down. It was only us 3 ordering as the place wasn't busy, yet the worker seemed to have such a rush on none of us had the chance to think. Whilst trying to get on the subcard app to receive the points, the worker was trying to get us to pay as quick as possible- we wasn't ready yet. The shop itself is a little dirty with crumbs and rubbish over the floor. Other than the taste of the food (which is the same in majority if not all of the subway shops) I was rather let down today. Doubt I'll be coming to this particular branch.

Ordered a Meatless Philly, Hash Browns and Cheese Bites. All of which arrived which arrived freezing cold. And the Sandwich had no cheese, no peppers. Very disappointed. Will not be ordering from here again.

Order was half hour late after message saying it's out for delivery. I live a 10 minute drive max from this place... our toasted subs are stone cold like they havent been toasted.. my foot long hasnt been cut also.. all 3 subs was missing items inside and one dont have any sauce in it.

Staff were extremely rude to me, and my complaints to head office just received stock replies. In addition their new menu and pricing structure makes them way more expensive than the competition. Won't be visiting any Subways again - they only care about profit.

The food is soggy and almost cold. It was 20min late and weather the driver stopped off and dropped another delivery,he was stuck on the map outside a co op for over 5minutes! Probably won’t use this restaurant again.

Food arrived almost 90 minutes after the order was placed. Food wasn't fresh (nacho chicken was cold, subway roll was stale at the end and salad looked like it was made up well before driver collection). Disappointed as normally very reliable from Pipps Hill.

Whoever makes the sandwiches in this subway needs teaching on how to do it properly, twice now there have been items missing from my subs.

The cheesy bites were cold and the end of the bread was hard. I did enjoy the cookie, that was about it. They need to stop putting the cold drinks in the same bag as the food.

Map not working again so couldn't track. Said order delivered, but no knock on door and delivery just left on doorstep! Don't know who driver was but level of service a disgrace. Sort this out!

Delivery got moved back 20 mins and they forgot a drink from one of the meals!

First wrap was freezing cold, asked politely for it to be reheated was given lots of attitude by staff member who didn't seem to know what she was doing. Second wrap was completely broken apart. Asked to speak to a manager, no manager available. Met with further attitude by second staff member. Don't bother coming here.

Not very busy, only two other tables with customers - but filthy shop , tables dirty and goid mushed not tops. Good and rubbish on floor everywhere. No clean up seen in the time we were there. Manky.

It was the delivery drivers fault not the restaurant. Even the women said on the phone I packed that over an hour ago. He drove to mine then went to noak hill and then went back to the restaurant and then delivered my food it’s not even edible it’s all gone soggy and stone cold . I’m furious.

Missing cheese and had wrong bread

Rude staff as always, they never even say hi, act as if you're bothering them and move slow. Subway staff is always unmotivated, Subway should pay them better as the staff is too bad to eat here.

Food was cold, wasn’t wrapped properly and wasn’t cut. The delivery driver knocked once and dumped the food on the door step. Thankfully I heard the knock.

The double chocolate chip cookies didn’t turn up with the order so that’s £4.36 wasted… don’t know how hard it is to put 4 cookies in a bag tbh

Sandwiches were messy and uncut. Got a small bottle of coke when I paid more for a big one. Also got flaming hot nachos when ordered lightly salted. Was not impressed

No driver could be assigned until the estimated delivery time had passed, then the driver couldn't find the address on a residential, street lit road. My property is 11 houses along, and they are in numerical order. Food arrived cold without the additional items requested. Terrible service.

The Nacho Chicken Bites were stone cold

Ordering was easy and had what I liked, food was all there and tasted nice. The driver was polite and cheerful

Food was absolutely fine and team we friendly, they were pretty engrossed in personal conversation and even left a customer waiting whilst they finished at one point. Wasn't the most clean place and one of the tables were broken and soft drinks machine out so "it's only 30p extra for a bottle", oh and toilets out of action. Think headoffice need to get a handy man in for this store.

The best Subway restaurant as always. Never have any issues with orders from the Pipps Hill Subway... food is always perfect. Can't rate them highly enough 💜
