Laindon Kebabs & Pizza in Basildon

The pizza was hot but only seemed to contain, Cheese and the extra toppings I asked for. There didn’t seem to be any tomatoe as a base as that’s what a margarita pizza is

I ordered a pizza and a kebab, once again the pizza came not as ordered and it also smelled old. They made many mistakes but I know that it is possible because we are human but my pizza did not have chicken or doner meat which I ordered but there was ham which smelled very bad. Be careful, my dears, so as not to get an upset stomach.

Have used this takeaway for a few years with very few issues, we are regular customers sometimes ordering 3/4 times per week. Tonight ordered our usual pizza , being vegetarian we order the same each time- hot vegetarian and swap the onions and mushrooms for sweetcorn and pineapple. Pizza came my partner realised had onions and no sweetcorn or pineapple but so hungry after a full day at work we let it go, until he bit into it and got a mouthful off pepperoni which we hadn’t seen hidden under the cheese 😮. Called the restaurant and was told by the owner that the pizza he sent did not have any meat on it and even read my order back out to me. Was told to send a photo of the pizza to his personal WhatsApp which I did. Only to get a call back saying that the pepperoni on the pizza they do not use and we must have put it there 🤯 he was very rude and said in the 27 years of working he’s never put meat on a vegetarian pizza nor used that pepperoni. He then agreed to send out another pizza but said if more then 1 bite was missing from the slice of pizza it would not be swapped over. We then received a second pizza as ordered and gave back the 1st pizza for them to inspect at the shop. We then got a call back from the lovely girl who apologised and said the pizzas had got mixed up and we’d been given the wrong pizza. But no word of apology from the extremely rude and defensive owner, I am appalled at the customer service and can honestly say after 4 years of ordering from there I will now be ordering elsewhere. I cannot express how lovely the food is at Laindon kebabs and pizza, we have a delivery at least once a week and more if we can afford it, it’s amazing, it’s juicy full of flavour doesn’t matter if we having a pizza or kebab or even chips it all tastes lovely, the chef Ally deserves a award ,Rolf has a great business, and Taylor allways answers the phone in a happy friendly professional manner she even remembers my voice and knows and remembers what we like can’t recommend this food place enough 🤤😀

My husband loves the mixed kebab with chips as my son and I love their stuffed crust pizzas 🍕 😋 and garlic bread their food is amazing and worth the money

Delivery driver arrived with no change for a £20 note. I made him walk to his car and get it. I did this because this firm charge me £3 for delivery so this guy just thought he’d try it on, and obviously it works on other people. The meat was dry, the chips were tough and chewy, and the only thing worth eating was the cheapest thing on the plate. The salad. This firm over charge for very underate food , and I will not be using them again. Just ripping locals off. Rubbish

Ordered a pepperoni jalapeño pizza this was delicious. It came very quickly and hot, the lady that served me was very polite and professional. highly recommend food.

I’ve placed an order before 23:00, they took my money but no food was delivered. The next day I called and I told them about and they said I will get a call back. I didn’t receive any calls from them, I emailed them no answer. This is very disappointing because I really liked their food and I was ordering pretty often.

Son ordered meal for us both , first order incorrect.Phoned to complain, very disinterested lady agreed to send out replacement, tasted okay but have since had a seriously upset stomach .Didnt realise the place only has a 2* council hygiene rating . Won’t be using again .

Very disappointed. Food was not very hot. Items missing from the order and no point Im calling them to sort the order out. Driver did not even come to that door, knocked on the window and stood at the gate and had to go to him. Normally order from here and is very nice but this time round it was not and very disappointed

Food portions are not valid for the price £7 for chicken kebab, I got more bread than chicken and it was too crispy and largely fat

Ordered a 85kg chicken burger. What I got was 2 flat pieces of what looks like chicken not what it said on the menu or looked like. Spoke to a girl on the phone that obviously has no customer service at all. Told me that I was blocking the phone lines and this is not a top restaurant… totally unhelpful and apparently the manager was too busy to talk . Misleading and revolting

Best pizzas and all food they serve,lovely service from staff good value for money don't go anywhere else for pizza etc as these guys always deliver with service and the food is always cooked to perfection

Started off with a miss delivered order... it was late and they were busy (think it went to another house, thanks for whoever received it and wasn't honest!!) However we called up the next day and when we re ordered, we got a free bottle of pepsi, and are chicken shish kebabs, were upgraded to large.. the chicken was tender and the salad was lush. Problems happen, but they sure made up for it. Defo be going back again soon

Under new management IBo has left got a kebab last week it was Burnt Donner meat seriously dry could not eat threw in bin

I have been a very good customer for years now. Ordered a takeaway last night and payed by card, i got told it didn't work so I payed cash. I checked my online banking and have been charged twice. Phoned them and was told someone would be round to refund me and no one turned up. Il be poppy g to the shop today to collect my money.

Been using Laindon Centre Kebab for years way back when it was in the old Laindon shopping centre ,for us as a family personally it is the best kebab ever and I had fussy children and still fussy adult men, but I never complain about this kebab shop. We even moved over near clay hill road and they still deliver to us. Yes you do have to wait sometimes possibly over a hour Fridays over the weekend but that’s reasonable they’re going to be much busier as it party weekends party nights everybody wants a kebab I order various things from a portion of cheesy chips to pizzas with everything on and the biggest kebabs that you can get my favourite is the chicken shish wrap. I always order two because I love them , I have one cold the following day, good portion sizes, good varieties of food, English chicken nuggets for the non-adventurous ha ha , we have tried other kebab shops even a good old kebab van. Everybody is each to their own of course but All I can say is it’s worth the wait give it a go tasty and yummy x

Ordered a delivery, the guy answering the phones was very blunt and rude food came on time but stale bun on burger cold chips threw the lot in the bin wasn’t able to eat any of it disappointed will not return

I placed an ordered tonight, was told it would be 45 max, hour goes by still not good, I called and the girl said they was busy and should be with us within 10/15 mins. Food finally arrived. Cold pizza’s, chips half portion and cold. When I finally got through to say my order was cold I was told someone would come back and collect it and they would replace it with a fresh order, I asked how long this would be, the girl on the phone was talking to another girl who I could here and she said “tell her we are busy and she will have to wait for 45 mins to an hour! I replied I don’t think so, we have already waited over and hour to get cold food delivered, and said I wanted a full refund. 20 mins later the delivery guy turned up and collected our cold food. We as a family we have been going there for many years, and the service was always very good. Over the passed year we have seen quality of food slowly decline and having to wait longer and longer for our orders. I can truly say we will never be going back. Customer service is disgraceful!!

Ive just had a pizza from Laindon pizza&Kebabs and was very nice and good value. It was Delivered in 45 minutes nice and hot, i will be stopping Using Domino's Pizza and Papa John's now .

Had delivery to hospital as have been in for over a week now the Donna I had was gab and they even understood little bit of chilli 🌶 full marks might try there iskenda later on in the week 😅

Loyal customers for 2 years. Order food online get told food will be delivered within 80 minutes this isn't unusual as it's normally earlier. Tonight waited 2 hours and 30 minutes. Rang 5 times fobbed off each time to say its just left. Food turned up stone cold. Owner who was rude on the phone would only give a refund if food was returned was going to be thrown in the bin. This was our dinner for the night. Awful service never again will I order from this establishment. Shocking service.

Kebab is nice but portion size of salad and cucumber tomoe etc(on a large kebab spoon full of salad and 1 tomoe and cucumber) is a joke and on burger is like they gonna run out.prefer to go somewhere else where u get lots of salad etc not gonna rate this more than 1 star

Called at 10 past 6 for an order to be delivered we had confirmation it would be delivered in an hour, 20 mins later we called to be told delivery driver will be there any minute now another hour later still no food called they said it will be there any minute now the driver mouthing off in the back ground saying effin tell them I fell over cut my nose the other lady shouting it will be there in two mins clearly not even cooked it yet 2 hours later told them to poke it worst delivery ever won’t use again would never have happened if Ibo was there

Little place tucked in the corner, but trust me the food hits the spot. If you are into dieting and healty food that looks and tastes like cardboard i would say stay away. But if you want a big greasy donner with cheesy chips, chilli sauce and marinated salad.. then this will do the trick... Proper service with smiley friendly staff, couple of turkish blokes who know what they are doing and a couple of essex girls making sure everything is in the bag... 10/10 plus they chucked in a bottle of fizzy with the moutain of food i ordered which washed it all down nicely To anyone crying about the wait, get off ya arse and fetch it yourself if you are in a rush... the place had about 5 phone calls in the short time i was ordering my food, its popular so expect a long waiting time... use your noggin before crying about food delivery delays

If I could give no stars i would. Served me pink kebab. Got a refund but the rude delivery driver came back with the ump, not my fault the kebab is PINK. Tipped the kebab on the floor before he got in the car and his mate shouts byeeee, jus uncalled for. So now we are without dinner. Thanks

Always great food great service, always very friendly

We ordered a kebab and pizza, they said it would take up too half an hour too 40 minutes. It took them 1 hour to get here! We also ordered chips witch didn’t come! But for the pizza it was freezing cold. The chicken was dry and a bit cold. Don’t order from here ever, we live just 5 minutes away from the shop and it was cold. They sent out some chips after, they said it would be 5 minutes but one again it came late. It took 10 minutes just for some chips! Overall I think they they deserved a star for the time of the chips, It took longer then expected! It was fresh but a lack of amount of food. I’m never ordering from here again!

Don't order online as the food takes ages and it's cold when you pick it up or it's delivered. You'll also pay about 20% more through just eat. That being said, if you order in the shop, food is good and hot. One star for ordering online and having to queue to pick up order which was cold when we got home.

I've visited alot of kebab shops over the years yet I have never seen one with a kitchen as clean as this one! No oil drippin on everything and of everything here! the foods allways hot and of a1 quality esp there shish kebabs no rubber chicken from these guys buy far the best kebab shop I've seen in a long long time would highly recommend them

Do not use these guys as when you have a genuine complaint, you are told that you are wrong and Refuse to make new food or offer your hard earned money back , so I had to go down in person with the wrong order and demand our money back SAME ON YOU!!!!! Always polite and food is yummy

After years of being a loyal customer this will be the last ever time I will use them! Poor portion size with top kebab completely loaded with donor meat absolute con when I phoned to complain the member of staff told me it is what it is! So if you want a decent meal just order couple of kebab wraps your get better value for money !! Hate to rant but £20 for only a 2 slices of cucumber & a pinch of salad! good luck for the future you will need it 😡

Lovely fresh food, quick delivery and reasonably priced. Lots of choice on the menu including kids meals, burgers and pizzas. Staff friendly and also a easy to use website to order food on line. Give it a go you won't be disappointed.

Ordered yesterday 9 may 2021 took my payment by card I got no food no delivery this is Very bad.....

Only good thing was delivered in time. Wouldn’t normally review things but when your treated rudely over the phone by the store that wants your business I think it’s warranted. Looking at the majority of reviews its clear reviews are ignored anyway or there would be improvements. I would say food tasty but arrived slightly cold. Missing bits from order that was definitely selected online but lady with the attitude when I rang up said well I should have put it as a note (not my job). With the missing pittas sarcastically says “what do you want me to send them out then” ? No point now! “Well then “! . Awesome great customer service. We all have had days don’t be in a service you can’t provide. They’ll know who I am from my call. Don’t post the leaflet in the door next time!

Position of this take-away is a bit hidden but very easy to reach and parking is easy. Personally I tried chicken wrap, special kebab and chips with salad and pitta. I could say that every time the food has been very tasteful and of great quality. People are very welcoming and quick to have your food ready. Enjoy guys!

Good quality food and good service

Have used them many times for delivery always arrives promptly, food is always still hot and portions are very generous and reasonably priced. I usually have a burger or scampi and they are lovely, my kids have chicken kebabs and they are VERY fussy but have never had any complaints. Highly recommended I can only imagine other reviews were from competitors.

Disappointed fake cheese on pizza & in stuffed crust, Im sure they need to advertise the fact, tastes gross.

Ordered via website, said 45 minute wait. Turned up in 35 minutes, speedy. Delivery driver was polite and friendly. Pizza was custom made and exactly as I ordered it. Only reason for 4 stars instead of 5 is the chips were a bit poor and portion was small for what is meant to be a large but overall I would order again as pizza was exceptional.

I must say first time i have ever ordered from this place.the kebab was on par with londons kebab shops the pizza well i must say my mother hates pizza we had a stuff crust one and were all amazed at the quality of the cheese .even the driver was really kind.just amazing !!

Attitude awful! After being let down on an order, which was due to an error of their website (told delivery was available to my area). After waiting 2 hours, a call checking where my order was, turned into a very blunt “you ain’t getting it, I declined it”. Brilliant, so no acknowledgement to let me know this just left waiting for an order that was never going to arrive! After many years of custom (going back to when you worked from a van!) no genuine apology just an aggravated conversation about not delivering to my area. Shame on you as I could have collected the order had a 1 minute phone call took place. Instead you chose to decline without any notification and lose not only my order but my business. Food was great but clearly don’t need the business to act in such a way.

Great kebabs, great pizza, decent prices, helpful people, always with a smile. They deliver as well, although I always seem to phone ahead and collect, for some reason. You can get customisations to your pizza, so my wife always insists on "no olives". For me, the chicken shish is the best of anywhere near us, so it's our regular choice. It was a pain in the neck to find the first time, after that it's been easy. If you can find PGR, you are 20 seconds away.

This is a Great place to get a Kebab, Burger, and Pizza as they was located in Laindon Shopping Centre, but have since relocated due to the centre being demolished in 2019
