Queenies in Basildon

When visiting our daughter in Essex we thoroughly enjoy having brunch at Queenies . Good quality food , excellent friendly service and ‘real’ bread !

Sausage sandwich was not at all nice. The sausages were tough and had obviously been reheated Waitress service was friendly and efficient I won’t be returning

We went for a birthday celebration breakfast. Our waiter, Nicole was very friendly and helpful. The food options was great and the food itself was excellent. It was well worth the money spend. I would recommend them anytime.

Visited with my daughter ( her treat,added bonus) first of all it was the best chai oat latte I’ve ever had . Delicious . Both had the avocado on toast with 2 poached eggs . Lots of avocado and poached eggs done to perfection . Really enjoyed it . All staff were chatty and ready to interact. Would have loved the salt beef bagel with chips but was absolutely massive so perhaps leave that till next time when I have someone to share with !

Excellent service and tasty food, which was well presented. Lovely outside seating. Pippa, the waitress, was very friendly and attentive. I would definitely be visiting again soon

Was really looking forward to going out for lunch with my friends celebrating, ordered the bacon sand which came out unbelievably salty could not eat it, it didn’t state on the Menu if it was smoked or unsmoked, they didn’t even offer to take it back or a refund, rude manger made us pay full price when we didn’t even touch our food. Would not recommend

Weve visited about 8 times this year for breakast or brunch. The lattes are nice and piping hot, tried toast, Mushrooms on Toast and Pancakes and all very nice.. have always found the staff lovely and usually our order has arrived very quickly.

Overpriced at £6.60 for two average tasting coffees. Plenty of other chain and independent coffee shops in the High Street. Will not return

Food was really good and we all enjoyed it, cooked well and really tasty. But completely let down by the miserable staff, service was shocking 3 waiters and waitresses on and the manager so no excuse to not have enough hands on deck…we had to ask for menus, ask to order, ask for more drinks and ask for the bill…whilst all our empty plates were piled up high on the table! Real shame - no smiles, and clearly none of them wanted to be there. It’s not cheap in there either - £7.95 for a milkshake!

We went into this restaurant for a coffee. A couple of menus were dumped in front of us and the waitress said she would be back, but we waited and we waited and then walked out when it became obvious they had no interest in serving us. Quite how such a restaurant is still in business, given the pressures on the sector, defies logic.

Excellent tasty milkshakes that kids will love. Overpriced average lunch so will not be returning to eat there again.

Walked in with a request for a table for 2 - got a grunt and a nod to a table - we went and sat down and the menu were literally throw across the table at us. We looked at each and though - no ! That’s not how to greet the paying public - bye !!!

Really overpriced place. Won’t visit agin. Felt ripped off. £6 for a chocolate milkshake. Nothing special just really really Expensive . Don’t waste your money

Found the food to be average and very overpriced! Mainly serving breakfast items, which were nothing special. I dine out quite regularly and would not visit this venue again.

I came here alone on a Sunday morning had had the ultimate breakfast consisting of sausage swirl, bacon, eggs ( any type ), herb mushroom, potato cake, beans and a slice of toast. Let me firstly say that the breakfast was perfect, well presented and very tasty, the cappuccino was piping hot as well, but sadly one thing let them down. I was nearing the end of my breakfast and wanted a slice of bread and butter to just mop things up as you do, sadly they said they didn’t sell one slice of bread and butter…. Their bread and butter comes only in two,s ! I have never heard anything so ridiculous. Needless to say i declined the offer of two, such a shame after what was a nice breakfast, unsure if i would come back now after that, a silly thing like that could and should have been avoided.

Came here for breakfast. Super friendly staff, really nice atmosphere and great food which arrived quickly after ordering. I had a flat white and eggs royal. We will be back and will be returning.

Visited post school run, fab atmosphere, great coffee and the BEST pancakes!!! Will definitely be back for a cocktail!
