The best restaurants in East of England

We decided to celebrate our Golden Wedding Anniversary at the CafeMasala with 30 family and friends. Wow! Taraque and his team did us proud! I'm not sure how but they managed to serve all 30 of us very quickly with starters, main meals and side dishes without anybody waiting for more than a few minutes. Great service but shouldnt be surprised as CafeMasala has consistently given us great service and excellent food quality for many years and is definitely our "go to" restaurant of choice. Turned up with a bunch of other cyclists and had hot drinks provided in record time, and hot food very soon afterwards, all with good service and good prices. We had outdoor seating, bikes visible at all times and will return again

Try and get two for one, their system malfunctions, then told I need to be refunded and to pay again but wait 48 hours for my refund - if I want the two for one. Yeah, big brain stuff

This is an excellent takeaway, conveniently situated in the town with a nearby public car park which is free after 6pm. Prices are competitive and the menu is extensive for a "fish and chip shop". Food quality is very good and my wife and I have made this our "go to" local takeaway.

We had the most wonderful experience here for a date night.The food was great and the service was impeccable. The owner came over to chat to us about his army career and made us feel as if we were dining as his personal friends. We will definitely be going back and telling our friends about the Royal Ghurka.

Greeted by very friendly staff. Every table in there is well positioned within the medieval framework. I ordered the Chicken Beyti which is seasoned chicken in flatbread with garlic and mint yoghurt with rich tomato sauce and rice which was exceptional. My companions had chicken skewers and the garden special. Both very good. Prices good and staff exceptional.

Have done a few visits to this venue for the past 4 years. Without exception the food is well prepared and presented whether Vegan/veggie or other. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Would recommend others visit this venue.

The best fish and chips around here bar none

As the title says this was our first time here and I wasn’t disappointed. We chose to sit inside and although not full still had a lovely chilled atmosphere. I had the ICE burger which i have to say was superb, full of flavour and a decent price. My friend had the all day breakfast which again was top quality. We had a pot of tea and a Diet Coke with the bill being £35 I recommend a visit, you won’t be disappointed.

We love this cafe, right on the promenade overlooking the sand dunes. You always know if it is open as the Ukrainian flag will be flying. The stayed open on selected days through the winter which was a real bonus. A few tables inside but the nicest place to sit and enjoy the view is the outside seating areas, including a sheltered spot behind mock beach huts. Sad to say their four real beach huts are no more!!!! You can park up this far northern end of the prom - and for those of you with canines this is a dog paradise. Water, treats and dog toys all await. There are miles of sand dunes to exercise in and then owners can come back and spoil themselves. Glorious mugs of coffee and super burgers with fab chips. Ice creams for the family! It is right next to the northern end of the venetian waterways. There is always a special of the day. Come for breakfast or lunch or brunch! Their food is freshly cooked and served with a smile. However please note they close quite early, I think by 4pm in the afternoon , so dont leave it too late.
