The best restaurants in East of England

Thoroughly enjoyed my evening here! The staff were very welcoming and had good recommendations. The food was delicious, meat cooked perfectly, tasty and tender. The staff even bought out a birthday dessert without us asking as they had just noticed the presents on the table! Such a lovely thought.

Cosy little restaurant. Enjoyed a perfect Sunday roast. Reasonably priced. No background music drowning out conversation … bliss!

Food is always delicious, the young lads taking orders kept getting them wrong and spend more time chatting amongst themselves. Service is very slow

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing staff and Owner! I spent the day with my family at the sea side and didn’t want fish and chips, we located this(easy to find) restaurant and had the most amazing Jollof rice and suya! My family and I were treated like royalty, and the children were catered for with no problems.(which was a relief because they were tired and hungry!) It’s also an amazing venue to host parties, We look forward to our summer trips to south end even more thanks to this gem!

The food was very nice and good service. My wife needs gluten free and was told it was, but she was ill in the evening, so not sure if it was that or something else

Excellent chips, the fish was delicious. The squids very tender. option to have your fish cooked grilled also. Good choice of fish. There is a bar adjacent with a really nice atmosphere. The waitress is very friendly and professional. She is a gem and makes and makes you feel very welcome. You can only use the bar to have a drink or to eat food from the fish bar next door or from the noodle - Chinese barwhich makes everybody happy. Choice of burgers and sausage and traditional pies as well!

After 23 years of being loyal and frequent customers ... we are done! On two previous visits we encountered roaches, advised management and accepted their apologies and gracious offers to encourage our return. We took a few months break before trying again because we really wanted to continue our patronage. Well, last Saturday our meal was once again (3rd time) ruined by roaches in very plain sight. However, the new manager wasn't apologetic, caring or seemingly interested in securing future business, which our wonderful waiter indicated would be her response. If roaches are crawling out from under pictures, scurrying across tables and running across the floor ... can you imagine what's happening in the kitchen? Hey, I get it, it's Texas - we have bugs. But multiple encounters, plus the lack of concern is a huge red flag. Time for some serious pest control and customer service skills. We've seen enough ... Bye, Bye!

Absolutely gorgeous food!!! Excellent service well worth a visit or 2!! Lovely views off the sea it does get busy so may have to wait a few minutes for a table outside but lots inside too

A proper, unspoilt pub with great local ales and good food. Also incredibly kind owners who helped us out in getting us home, after we had walked a few miles to the pub, then had 2 children too tired to walk home.
