Had been trying to find somewhere to get a decent kebab in a long while. This place delivered 100% would definitely recommend and return

Drove 200 miles for my sisters birthday on 27th June. Relied on the Google reviews. This was the worse meal I've eaten in 60 years . The fish was fresh enough and batter nice and crisp. The chips however were disgusting . Dry and barely warm ,clearly had been fried a day or several before and just reheated . Scraping the bottom of leftovers from previous days as they were all small and mishaped. One portion would have been plenty for 3 hungry people even if they had been good. Total waste of money at £3.80 a portion. Even though the server could clearly see we had tasted only 3 chips from each box he never enquired as to how the meal was!! Will never return here . There are plenty of other good fish bars near by but sadly not all offer eat in . Perhaps the receipt will jog the owners memory

It's probably the worst sausage and chips I've ever had, The chips I had about 10 bloody rubbish, I through them in the bin and the sausage the same, Shame because it looks like a nice place

Well all I can say is the food is great helpful staff covid safe clean and tidy a good range of food at good prices its nice to see that after being business for some time now the outstanding quality of food and staff remains always a friendly service the only thing that's changed is that they are now an award winning fish and chip shop I'm often asked ask if their has been any change's to a business and In this case I'm happy to say No as the high standards are maintained . I'm so Glad to say the high standards remain with the same warm friendly staff

I only went to Ocean Pearl because of the reviews.. I was so disappointed with the fish and chips. The chips were cut so thin they curled up and no soft potato inside ,too much batter on the fish and the fish was dry..

My local fish & chip shop with kebabs is the place to be. I have a gluten intolerance and the staff never fail to cater for me. I have my cod batterless and to be honest it tastes much better than with batter. No matter what I eat from here the food is always 10/10 quality. In my opinion this is the best doner kebab ever and I know about my doner kebabs - when I say this I vouch both for chicken and lamb doner including their chilli sauce

Came to ocean pearl and the food was amazing! Definitely would recommend this restaurant with very friendly staff.

I haven't tasted fish & Chips like this for a long time. Just Beautiful. Would highly recommend. My wife had kebab she loved that too. Will be coming here more often.

Amazing restaurant! Spotlessly clean, fantastic fresh food and the staff are so friendly and engaging. My family love this place so much that we never use any other kebab/chipshop.

Ocean's Pearl is a great fish-and-chip shop in Garston which also has a selection of Turkish-style food. The most important thing to remember about this place is that they only accept cash for in-person orders. (You can order online via their website but you still have to collect in person - it's not clear if you can pay by card as I've never used it.) Orders are turned around very quickly and staff are very helpful. There is a small seating area where you can wait for your order or dine on the premises. My Mum usually orders cod and chips and this is, generally, cooked to a good standard. The fish cakes and sausage in batter are always of a consistent quality. I can also recommend the grilled halloumi starter - it's much tastier than the more expensive halloumi wrap (and also comes with a little salad). The spicy Turkish sausage starter (sukuk) is also very tasty. The only reason that this is a four-star, rather than a five-star, review is the fact that the chips can sometimes be a little dry and uninspiring (although small chips is a good-sized portion for one person). We find that covering them in vinegar back home helps, but once I had to throw away half my chips, as they were inedible. I suspect the chances of mediocre chips reduces in the evenings when more of them are being cooked. Overall, it's a very reliable local takeaway that I use regularly when I am visiting north Watford.

I just had a mixed donner,the lamb donner meat smells rotten,like a dirty bin rotten,I have kept it and will hand it over to Watford public health if I get ill,my friend ordered chips that are raw,but at least he's not in fear for his life.

The best kebab ever, chips were so fresh and the only garlic sauce I could ever eat. Shop is always immaculate!

We were here in the evening and ate a portion of fish and chips in the restaurant. The portions were large and the fish was freshly marinated and fried. The staff is very friendly and the prices are reasonable. Parking on site sometimes more difficult. Food is served in cardboard boxes so you can take the food leftovers with you. The place makes a clean impression.

food was fresh but i found hair entangled in my food and this put me off so I had to throw it away.

Would recommend as food is delicious and most off all they have a few locals kids working there black and white which makes a change compared to four or three full grown Arab men. Will always go there from now on.

The food from here is always of a high quality. Cash is the only form of payment taken which is fine once you know. The menu is full and always available.

Friendly & efficient staff, high quality food at reasonable prices, it’s hard to find a good old “classic” fish & chip shop nowadays, but this establishment is exceptionally good, very high standards of hygiene & quality food + ingredients, look no further!! Best chippy in Watford!!!

Expensive but worth it. I had a tasty cod and chips. My food looked and tasted like it was made with quality ingredients. The shop and owner were well presented and professional. I have had the same meal for less in other chippies but I imagine the price reflects the quality of ingredients they use.

Love the food! My favourite was their special Turkish chilli sauce!

Nice place for a quick take away.

Staying in the Premier Inn Watford North (just over the road) we wanted to try something different from the steak, chicken pub type food. We as a group of five had vegetarian options and fish and chips, all excellent meals. The staff were friendly and very good with our 7 year old granddaughter. Highly recommended.

Had the fish and chips and they were so tasty. Lovely white fish and divine chips. Another time had hallumi wraps and falafel and hummus wraps also really tasty and filled with salad. Staff are so friendly and really good with children. I highly recommend this place.

Very disappointing take away last Friday night👎🏾. It has a 5☆ hygiene rate, but it's just for show, as when you order the food, the person serving you, put her hand inside of the bag to open it to put the chips 🍟 in (note, her nails are very long) she doesn't attempt to wash them after handling your money. I hope the owners see this review and take action, as It's a no no for me👎🏾 .

Quite expensive but huge portions, good if you are sharing with a larger group. They should consider doing smaller portions for cheaper!

This place is so awesome tried it for the first time and I definitely will be returning the kebabs taste so delicious and the fish was so fresh my whole family enjoyed it very much highly recommended

A true hidden gem in Garston/ Watford. Food is super good and they have very high standards. Im also loving the vegetarian options which are available and I've been told that the chips are cooked separate ,not in the same oil as non vegetarian products. Fully recommend

Cash only on the say l visited. Change the Cyprus salad for me from Chicken to Avocado Pear which was great. Enjoyed the chops and salad.

Poor Customer Service and Slipping Quality. Full review on TripAdvisor. We have been using since the opening night and have noticed the quality if the fish & chips has dropped recently. On a recent order my large cod was replaced with a medium cod and a couple of cod bites with no explanation.

This has to be one of the finest fish and chip shops in Watford. Not only are the chips the tastiest ever but the hand made taramasalata and humous are fantastic. The quantity of kebab meat is so filling and the homemade chilli sauce is not like any other. Outstanding. Keep it up guys and girl.

What a great new place this is! Have visited a few times already and look forward to returning! The chips are the best for miles, fish is generous and perfect and the kebabs are first class. No lamb shish but there is chicken shish and chicken or lamb doner. Lovely people who have worked hard to start up in these difficult times, long may they continue!

Probably the best fish and chips I have ever had. The fish batter is extra crispy and the fish inside was so moist. Chip portion large is for 3 people easy. Highly recommended

Great new place in Garston, North Watford. Clean, neat service. Cash only. Huge portions, especially in fish & chips. Good value for money. The only negative: People who order over the phone jump the queue. Also, although a number waiting list is available for take-away, there is no screen showing the number, so employees have to shout. Other than that, all good.

Visited last weekend! I tried their fish and chips. it was definitely the most tastiest fish. My wife tried their doner kebab to find it very smooth and juicy. chips were great. Food was hot. Service was very friendly, polite and respectful. Happy I've found a good local Chippy with more variety.
