This is not called il Caprese anymore - Michaelโs Bistro as it is now called, was lovely for starters but the main courses were disappointing - itโs a shameโs especially the ramen which was without chili
Booked for Mothering Sunday, this is a quaint little pub/restaurant, with a limited menu.
We both had the Roast Pork. The meal was ok and the service was good.

We stumbled across this whilst staying at the local Haven. Food was delicious, reasonably priced and close to the haven site. Staff really friendly, would recommend.
Have been to Petals several times in the last few years when staying at a nearby campsite. We were aware that the tea room had recently changed hands and were pleased to see that the afternoon teas were still on the menu, and ordered the savoury Holyhock cream tea, unfortunately it was very disappointing, the scone was small and tasteless and the chilli jam was just a runny cheap supermarket style sauce rather than the lovely jam they used to serve, regrettably we wonโt be returning.
We had walked from Cromer to Sheringham on he beach and back via coastal path found ourselves in east runton , what a great treat we found Sammys . The Sunday lunch was delicious, great service and dog friendly whatโs not to like ! If you are in the area definitely worth a visit .
Our food was soft, even mushy with very little texture and taste. I had the stuffed obergene. . The filling tasted like it had just been frozen and heated up in a microwave. No flavour at all. The obergene itself was very soft and could have been mushed up with a fork easily. So disappointed. The service was efficient and pleasant, but then again, it was lunchtime, and we were practically the only ones there. Three out of the five of us, who got together for a family reunion, felt the quality of the food felt far short of reasonable expectations.
Definitely will not be going here again.

Picked up two Sunday roast as my mum had fallen and broken her hip, took a chance here as we don't normally like any or the carvery chains and have had a few disappointing Sunday roasts elsewhere, but this is one of the best Sundays dinners I have ever had from a restaurant, the roast beef was perfect and could really taste that it was homemade, even down to the butter they used in the mash....
Will definitely be visiting again at dome point. Thank you
First time here last night. Staff were brilliant, Drinks ๐ธ and food.
We decided on Mushrooms in tomato and garlic sauce and calamari delicious fresh hot Pitta bread. Nice size portion. We decided on mixed Fish kebab and rice with salad very nice portion.
The Singer made the ambiance of the place. Many customers dancing ๐บ Cocktails were yummy and like Cinderella left just before midnight.
Our second visit to this great little establishment and certainly wonโt be our lastโฆ
The team at Angels are simply spot on..
The atmosphere food service and great staff make for a fantastic experienceโฆ
With two seating areas inside and an outdoor dining space outside for those nice daysโฆ
Good luck with getting a reservation as itโs really busy and also watch out for the entertaining staff who are great at their jobs but provide some entertaining responses if youโre up for a bit of banterโฆ
Ohhrrr make sure you go along hungry and enjoy some of the home baked cakes pies and gorgeous foodโฆ
Of particular note is the Almond Bakewell OMGโฆ Just get involved ๐๐คฉ
This is my favourite place in Maldon! The atmosphere and and service make it such an intimate experience. It is the perfect place to meet friends - although I will I come here with my family, my husband and love taking my six-year-old niece for breakfast dates. The team and owner, Mario, are so welcoming and friendly. I will often come here for a coffee by myself and just sit for an hour or so taking some time for me. The coffee is phenomenal. There is not a place like it nearby, the diverse menu options cater for everyone. And the Tapas! Wow! There is not a thing I do not like on the menu and the fact that it is varied for seasons and holidays means that you can have a different experience every time. I cannot recommend Driftwood high enough. It is my go to place and if you havenโt tried it, you really should! Perfect for casual dining and special occasions.
We have just been to sample the new afternoon menu. BRILLIANT can't wait to go again. It'll be even better when the weather improves and you can eat outside . Good sized nibbles in small dishes. Recommend you order all five, plenty for two to share. The chunky chips with sandwiches were heavenly.
