The food is very good and reasonably priced. The staff are very friendly and nothing is too much trouble. Would recommend.

This place was recommended , bit of a drive for us but boy was it worth it. I like my Adana kofta and can honestly say that theirs is one of the best. i have had. We had a nice family meal in a nice friendly atmosphere, highly recommend this place.

Amazing food and great service. We travel from St Albans because it's the best Turkish restaurant around. The staff are always friendly and welcoming and the food is fresh and hot. You can also see it being cooked to order. Cannot recommend enough.

Don’t ever order on deliveroo - awful service and they don’t listen to orders - terrible service. Took more than 2.5 hours when it said 30 minutes and even after phoning they said 10 minutes, still not here. They can’t cope so shouldn’t offer the service

Lovely food. Cooked in view of where ever you sit. Smells wonderful as soon as you walk in. Friendly service. Big enough tables for party bookings but very versatile - couples, friend groups, small familys all suited to this little gem.

We had a fantastic meal here when we were down visiting Borehamwood from Falkirk, Scotland. Every aspect of our dinner was delicious! The staff really made our meal as we were able to have a good laugh together & they were so knowledgeable about the cuisine. We will be back next time we’re down & highly recommend Divan to anyone who enjoys high quality, Mediterranean food.

A good restaurant with fine food and service to match. It was a hot evening and they opened their huge windows which allowed a slight breeze to enter some times this is not enough, they’ve got aircon try using it. All in al it was hot and sticky.

Very nice place, easy to park next to the station, not usual grab and go Turkish, quite a sophisticated menus, all the usuals, Donner, Shish etc, but more refined and upmarket. Complimentary bread and olives, the Calamari was superb, grilled lamb chops like butter and the salads and fresh veg superb, great local wine list and Turkish beers

If i tell you we broke our journey from Luton into London here that should tell you how good this restaurant is! All the regular favourites can be found on the menu. Prices are generally quite reasonable. Reservations are probably a good idea at weekends

Better book a table most nights. It's for good reason this restaurant is busy, quality food at reasonable prices. I was here with family and friends and i wanted to try everyone's food because it all looked so good!

I called Divan this evening to get a takeaway meal for myself and family. Being gluten and dairy free, I asked what on the menu I would be allowed. They didn’t seem to know their products at all and when I was asking questions to the last she passed the phone to a man who said ‘we are very busy, call us back when you decide’. I said to him that I have allergies and wondered what I could have. I asked if the chips were gluten free. He said yes but they are cooked in the same oil, so I asked if they would be able to cook them seperately which I don’t think is an unreadable request when I have allergies and we are in 2018/19 (I am not the only person with allergies. His response ‘no we can’t be careful’ to which I then decided to not place an order after the rudeness. I then called Likya in the high street who were more than accommodating- knew all of their food and made a delicious meal!

I have eaten at Divan dozens of times from going out with friends to Birthday celebrations & some take away . They serve good quality meat & fish.

I am big fan of Turkish food and here you can find very authentic one! Delicious soups and big portion's of main dishes! Very well decorated, calm and simple place. Great deals at lunch Menu and the best Turkish coffee you can find around.

We were strangers in town and were directed to Divan by our excellent taxi driver. The food and service were top class, thoroughly enjoyable.

i go there regularly with a friend.the food and service is top quality.the staff are always on the ball .try the mixed grill .you will not find better.i believe it is a brother and sister who run it.it is not a chain restaurant .you will not be dissappointed

Iv'e eaten here since it opened. Family run business. The prices are very reasonable. The food is very fresh and delicious. My father and mother love going there. All the children love the food. You can sit in or take away. The doner is real. Not pre made.

Used to be a regular visitor here when I worked in the area. Was passing through and decided to get my usual from here for the first time in about 18 months.

We visited Divan with three of our grandchildren, They are chicken shish connoisseurs due to being fans of the dish and the meal with which they were presented did not shake their love of this dish. We all enjoyed the shared mezze starter. My lamb shish was lovely too and my husband was very pleased with the mixed dish that he chose.

Half shop front looks unexciting. Inside they exceed all expectations regarding food, quality, service and even ambiance. I'm a regular visitor and I know that they have a good reputation amongst my friends who live in the area.

If you are around the area it is highly recommended. I have been visiting this restaurant for a few years now. The meat is tender, a great selection of plates but also vegetarian dishes. Stuff very friendly, quick service. One of the best grilled meat places I have been.

Booked a table for two on a Saturday evening. We were greeted by friendly staff and shown to our table. The menu has an excellent choice for all courses and there are many vegetarian options. We shared a cold meze for starters and had lamb kebab for main course. The portions size is good and as you get complimentary bread, olives and pickles, you don't really need a dessert. However, you get complimentary baklava and Turkish delight so you leave really full. We walked back to our hotel about a mile away to walk off a few calories. I would certainly recommend eating here.

I arranged to meet friends here one Saturday. The staff were friendly and made us very welcome and although service wasn't particularly speedy, the food was excellent. The meat was good quality (tender with no gristle). It was well seasoned, served with rice and salad and their (homemade?) chili sauce was tasty too.I would happily recommend this over the various overpriced restaurants you may find nearby.

Had a late meal on Sunday night with my mum. As ever, the food is always good at Divan. Good mezze, lovely bread and the lamb and chicken is tasty. Enjoyed Izgara chicken for my main, washed down with an Efes. Divan is a fixture opposite Elstree station; still the best Turkish in the area and a take-away favourite of ours.

We had a take away lunch with work mates! We placed the order over the phone and it was ready in 20 minutes! We had lamb, beef and chicken, portions are very generous and honestly priced! If you fancy turkish Divan is the best! Yum!

Went here with friends, nice tasty food but I would say the portions are a bit small. Friendly happy staff, clean place. I also found that it was a bit cold in restaurant and I had to keep my coat on but my friends were ok with it.

Recently had a takeaway from here and was not impressed paid £12 for a small chunks of lamb (overcooked) and rice. Definitely or not we having takeaway again. Better off with other places in Borehamwood.

The staff are friendly, the place is clean, the food looks good quality. I like that you can see the chef cooking the meat and there is always a nice atmosphere. It's best to book after 7pm as it does get busier as it's not the biggest restaurant for space. You won't leave this place hungry as the meals are fairly big and there is always plenty of bread, salad and olives on offer. The food taste really good, I recommend the Iskender but be carefully not to indulge on too much chilli sauce as there is always lots available.Takeaway is a good option, especially if you want a more sophisticated kebab.Only quibble is that the staff have trouble understand some English words and can be a little awkward trying to order a cup of tea, plus I feel it could be a little less expensive.Overall it's a good place for an enjoyable evening.

This was our first time at Divan and we went on a Sunday lunchtime. The restaurant wasn't busy but every table was still beautifully laid with clean white tablecloths so anyone who came in without a booking could be seated immediately.We were brought some lovely bread and dips to start and the waiter was very helpful with the quantities we should be ordering with the starters - we were going to order two cold mezes but he said one between the four of us was enough. He did say that if we wanted more of anything it would be made quickly but he was quite right, one between the four of us was plenty.We all enjoyed our main courses too and would definitely return to Divan.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. The restaurant was clean and the food was good. Nice appetizer provided free, main meal was good but not the best I've ever had and a nice Turkish delight with the bill. Would recommend it for a casual night out with friends.

Have been dining here for sometime now and have always had a good meal sand good service. It's not a large restaurant so you can have a conversation without having to shout! One criticism ... the house wine is not great and they could offer a better selection generally.

I have eaten in Divan twice in the last week. The restaurant is clean, bright and busy but still welcoming. All the staff are friendly and efficient while they provide a really great service and check if everything is ok with your meal. I had the lamb tavu while my husband had the lamb shank which were both really tasty and not over priced.

The service was not great, food came a different times. Seems like the takeaway business is thriving at a cost to restaurant customers. Staff were nice enough but the restaurant is tight on space, not enough staff, and food not memorable

Have been going to Divan 's for years and recently returned as I took a client for lunch. Service was great , food was fresh and tasty as ever and the staff always go out their way to arrange any dish for you.Have to say been going there for years and will , as always be going back there.

We went to this restaurant on a Friday evening while visiting the area. They accommodated us although we did not have a booking and the food was very good!!! They were very efficient and we had a lovely dinner with a Turkish twist. We advise you book in advance though, we regretted we had to leave because there were people who had booked the table they accommodated us at.
