The best restaurants in East of England

What a find at the top of Hamilton road , we had struggled to find a Dog Friendly Family eatery in the town centre on a very cold January day. The food was freshly cooked, quality ingredients, Friendly Staff , and excellent pricing, and generous portions to, a a clean environment . for what is does, it does very well indeed. 5* . if in Felixstowe again we will certainly visit again. WE had everything from a large belly busting brunch to a tuna Jacket Potato all served piping hot and well cooked .

Lovely Indian take- away food. Friendly staff. Was fresh and hot (in temperature). Everything was correct in our order.

Great hang out with good African/ caribbean music with excellent tasty food of various categories. Highly recommend!

Our village over 60's society regularly eats out as a group, and its always difficult to find a place that can properly cope with 24 plus people, even with a limited choice pre-booked menu, where the food, service and atmosphere are all good. The golf course at Newton Green definitely hits the spot as the food is really really good and the atmosphere in the restaurant remarkably good; there are also lovely views over the greens. As a group we love it so much that this was our second visit in less than three months, and the venue is sure to be a fixture on our calendar. The venue would also be a great place for couples or small groups as well.

After buying a selection of individual cakes for our daughter's birthday in April, we couldn't resist doing the same for our som's birthday today! Looked at the larger cakes in thr window but as soon as I stepped in, the variety of single slices got me.. again! I intended to buy the same ones but there were too many lovely choices to do that! All look amazing and I'm sure they will be just as delicious as the previous purchase. A lovely shop with friendly and helpful staff. Thank you.

We tried a takeaway from here and was extremely impressed. The portions of food were huge and really good quality and taste. We had the chicken katsu curry, teriyaki beef and Thai crackers. All of it was delicious, looking forward to trying more things on the menu.

Exceptional service food was outstanding would highly recommend and will for sure be returning!

Dreadful. Couldn’t get hold of restaurant to confirm timings etc / couldn’t even cancel order when it was half an hour late. Serious lack of communication. Not impressed.

Very unhelpful in the bar, I asked for a sandwich as I have dietary requirement only to be scoffed at saying we have made a bar menu for a reason , flicking his wrist he trotted of the to kitchen, come back to tell me that this hotel and restaurant doesn’t have any bread ! Joke , I knew what his attitude would be before I asked , don’t bother going here if you have any special requests other than a couple slices of bread

BEWARE - New £18.50 charge for parking for guests !!!!!!! This is a disgrace and has been implemented quietly and without warning. This should be changed immediately. All the staff, Supervisors and Managers are embarrassed to charge this !!!!
