Food incredibly disappointing. Sweet & Sour chicken chewy and inedible

Ordered meal over phone. Person who answered was polite. Gave approximate time meal would be ready to collect. Went to collect it, went home ,had my meal. Very nicely cooked and enjoyable. Thanks New Sage.

Another staycation chinese takeaway, it always feels like a roll of the dice - but im pleased to report a solid score and what was a good all round experience. We have tried many Chinese takeaways around the UK travel hotspots, too many below par and we have quite high expectations. New Sage provides a decent option, good portions, it’s not “slop” like too many places serve these days, and we would use again if staying in the area. Just one word of warning - they only take cash!

First time. Excellent. Will definitely be back.

The establishment offers generous portions of delicious food. The chicken balls were particularly delectable and well-prepared. The staff members were very friendly and welcoming. I would highly recommend this establishment and would gladly return there again.

OMG this place was so good, we had to have a take twice in seven days! In fact so good i'd drive from Lowestoft to have it! Freshly Cooked proper authentic food!

The best food we have ever had and we live local it was fresh hot and really tasty and well priced making it a treat you can afford in these hard time, also we had lemon crispy beef which was very unusual and bloody tasty. We won’t go anywhere else.

Amazing food. The best Chinese food I've ever tasted. We had Special Foo Yung, special chop suey, special fried rice and a portion of chips. We rang in the order and collected 10 minutes later. Cost was £23.80. The portion sizes are generous. We also got free curry sauce and prawn crackers. The lady who took my order on the phone and who served me in the shop was efficient and friendly. I wish I could pick the take away up and move it to sheffield where i live, it was that good.

Wrong order, food microwaved (some hot some cold), bad taste.

The food was lovely, We ate on a Sunday and found the vegetables were fresh and the sauces were lovely. In comparison to my usual takeaway, this was awesome, there was plenty of meat in all the dishes and the portion sizes were great as well. The price was good as well, especially with it being in a touristy area. Would heartily recommend if you are staying locally.

We on a random Thursday evening ordered from here staying at chalet in California area and I must say it was delicious , portion sizes are great , tastes fresh not bad price overall will be using on our next visit. Great find.

Omg!!! This was literally the best Chinese I've ever had 😍 I ate way more than I should have, as I couldn't stop myself! I could not complain or fault a single thing about it, we stayed at Summerfields caravan park and although they could not deliver, it was a 3 minute drive to collect and was ready for our arrival. I wish I could pick it up and take it back to Essex 👌🏼

Staying in caravan 5 min drive away. Rang order at 5pm ready 5.20 Easter Sunday. Chicken chow mein, 2x mixed meat curries, s&s pork and chicken balls, rice and chips. Wow, the food was excellent, cooked lovely and the curries were possible the best we have ever had!!!! (And we have had many!!!) Highly recomend, place looks so much nicer than the one near the camp site, not that we tried it so can't give comparison/review.

A most lovely and local Chinese restaurant serving the most delicious food and great portion sizes too. The food was cooked and prepared quickly at reasonable prices. Free prawn crackers too. Comes very much reccomended by this local. My guest from outside the area loved it.

First time trying New Sage after a recommendation. We live 20 minutes from here and I must say it was worth the travel, we used an insulated bag and the food was still really hot when we arrived home. It is the best chinese takeaway we have had in a long time and great value for money as the portion size is very generous and all tasted great. Definitely come back and recommend to anyone in the area 👌

Superb food! Portion size is generous, so take note when ordering. We’ve ordered from New Sage a couple of times since we moved here and have always had left overs for the fridge. We’re so lucky to have this takeaway near our home. Would highly recommend.

Visiting the area on holiday and found this Chinese takeaway by chance, so glad we did, food was very well cooked, tasty with generous portions, prices seem reasonable. Definately happy to recommend.

I've come to my parents from chelmsford and decided to have a Chinese from New sage and omg was the best Chinese I've ever had loved the red onion in the dishes food tasted fantastic and get some much for your money and staff were absolutely lovely and polite would recommend to everyone who loves Chinese and who has never tried it ❤️❤️❤️❤️

We have just eaten our order. Absolutely delicious. And great value for money . We all ordered different dishes and no complaints at all , normally use china boy, but was shocked at the increasing prices. So changed our custom.. so glad we did. Our normal order much cheaper. Best £66.00 spent for seven people, definitely recommend. And we got a free dish and prawn crackers

Just moved into the area, First visit to the New Sage. All I can say is WOW. The food was fantastic although we over ordered as portions are huge. Pancake rolls are gorgeous and a meal on their own, lovely. Would undoubtedly recommend, and will definitely be going back. Thanks New Sage.!!!

We stayed at sommerfields holiday park and came across this lovely Chinese takeaway. The food was fantastic, hot and full of flavour. Would highly recommend this place

I have had various meals with varying quality but their chicken foo yung is excellent. One portion is enough for 2 unless you are very hungry. Chip portions enough for 3.

Visiting at a caravan site nearby and thought we’d have a Chinese takeout. New Sage was recommended to us by a young lady who works in Bacton. All I can say is WOW what a fabulous meal and so much of it. Really well good food and good value for money. Would recommend it to all . Thanks to staff and chefs!

We called here while on holiday and we really enjoyed our meals. My husband got sweet and sour chicken balls with fried rice. He couldn't eat it all there was plenty enough for two people. I had the pork and duck fried rice with BBQ sauce and would definitely buy again. Daughter got chicken chow mein, said it was very tasty. Would definitely recommend calling here for your tea.

Love this place, it's a take away, food always fab, try the Happy Family, it's delish, as is everything that we have tried.

Dreadful food! Prawn chop Sue was covered in what tasted like a cheap tomato sauce. Egg fried rice was not fried and missing the egg! Prawn curry was disgusting with the sauce very thick which stuck to your teeth. We were so disappointed as it had been recommended to us for a long time. Maybe it has changed hands as the two people running it were very young.

Been using this place for over a year but never again. Chicken balls were re-fried, duck was all skin and fat. Batter on prawns was raw as was the omeletteand the spring rolls. I never complain but this was a £45 order and when I telephoned to air my concerns I was told someone would call back. Then didn’t answer later calls. The food was so bad we threw it in the bin and will now find another Chinese takeaway

On holidays and felt like something different and was not disappointed.. good menu variety, service and food. One of the best Chinese soups I’ve had, and the other dishes were great.

Decent chinese, generous portions. Its a little expensive and the staff did not speak English well, which made communication a bit difficult, a lot of pointing and holding up fingers! 😄

You forgot my egg fried rice, can you please refund the money for the rice to my bank card, the food was good quality but it was rather boring having a meal without rice.

Pretty standard Chinese. I ad Crispy lamb but it was really fatty. Long delivery time, but it was Fri night, so cant really be helped.

Would usually never say this, but complete waste of money. had nothing to do with thai food and was bland and slimy. tasted the four meals we ordered and threw everything out without eating it

Fast delivery, overpriced for dishes that were not tasty at all. One of the worst tasting chinese dishes ive had and ive had pleeeeenty. Wont be ordering here again..also just a tip-dont get the mix h´ordourves here, small portion and dry tasting.

Delivery very quick. Food was good. Like a previous reviewer I didn´t receive the advertised prawn crackers, which didn´t bother me overly as I rarely eat them but shows a lack of care or service. What did annoy me was no choice of bottled drink - the notes say ´bottle of Coke´ which turned out to be Diet Pepsi. Not what I would have wanted. Either give the customer a choice or state specifically what they will get. I don´t like getting ´whatever´s left in the fridge´. Improve that and I´ll come back.
