English dish of chicken and chips was awful. Chicken very dry and almost inedible! No peas or gravy as I’d expect. Beef in the Chinese dish was really tough. Very disappointed 😞

Nice food friendly service reasonable prices and good size portions always keep coming back for more. Only problem food so good could always eat more😉🤣. The staff are amazing here so friendly

Stayed at the Haven Caister site this week. Really fancied a Chinese and this looked like the best locally. It didn’t dissapoint and in fact I’d say was much better than the ones local to me in London (aswell as the price!) Ordered via Google order, never done that before. Really lovely local guy delivered it and called me when he left to let me know he’d be there in a few mins. Ordered quite a bit of food, the prawns were big and delicious (in both the dishes we had) and the crispy shredded beef was cooked really well, not dry and in a nice sauce. Would definitely reccomend

Best Chinese in the Great Yarmouth and Caister area by far

You just lost a customer of 15+ years. Order food said 1 hour for delivery or 20 min collection. So I popped down in 20mins and grabbed food had to wait for other customer and she answered the phone. Delivery car blocked me asked if she could let me out please. She then messed about going in to get orders then put them all on back seat faffing about with the labels. Bibbed her. 1 min. Bibbed again. No. I asked you to move before you went in and got the orders. All you had to do was move over and I would be able to get out. I'm not waiting for you to faff about while my food is getting cold, bad enough I had to wait in the shop. I done you a favour by coming to get the food. I will never order again

I am sad to have to write this post but I'm being honest. Last night we had delivery, had chicken chow mein , chips, sweet sour sauce , chicken balls & beef Black bean sauce. It tasted fine & really enjoyed the taste, then not long after I had the worst pain ever & then followed by really bad runs! It was that bad I was going to go hospital if didn't stop. I am going to ring them this evening, someone said they could have add msg in it and triggered me. I rarely have take away, and now I'm going to have to avoid this takeaway

Ordered Chicken Curry with boiled rice and Mushroom Chow mein. The take away front of house was very clean and tidy and the food was very tasty.

Not used this Chinese place before so we went by the reviews and we weren’t disappointed, staff were friendly and the food was cooked perfectly, very tasty and decent size portions, will definitely use again 😀

Although portions were big, the satay was over cooked and hard. Foo young had no egg just a jumble of veg and meat. Chop suey again no beansprouts but massive cubes of tasteless chicken.

Very good food. I highly recommend paying them a visit if you are in the village. It is always busy whenever we go which speaks volumes.

First few times we tried this place a few months ago it was lovely, best Chinese I’d ever had. Unfortunately the last two times we’ve ordered the food has been way too salty. Gave it a second chance tonight to see if it was just a bad night last time and unfortunately it’s just the same. Don’t know if the chef has changed but there is way too much salt being put into the dishes, it’s all you can taste. Made me and my partner feel sick last time. Won’t be returning, such a shame.

Whilst we were staying in Thrigby for two weeks we drove to canister and had a take away from Dragon Palace. Amazing service food was wonderful and the prices were very reasonable. Would definitely recommend them to locals and holiday makers.

Visiting family in the area, they recommended Dragon Palace and we had a great meal. It was a large order, delivered promptly, and the food was delicious, with fresh ingredients, particularly the prawns. Would recommend.

Found this amazing place by chance as way on holiday up the road, and I can honestly say this is one of the best Chinese take aways I've ever had.

The lemon chicken is superb, they did give me the wrong order twice now but it was soon rectified so I will continue using, highly recommend and deffo the best in the area

We are on holiday in Caister. Drove around not knowing what to eat and come across this restaurant. Locals and staff so friendly. Reasonable priced food. The food was absolutely gorgeous. The best Chinese we have had in years. Will eat from here again before we leave for home. Highly recommend. Would have taken some pictures but to busy enjoying our meal.

Definitely the best Chinese around this area. We often come on holiday and stay in scratby. It is the first time we’ve tried this Chinese. We would definitely recommend and we will be back! Staff were lovely, lots of options at a good price with veggie options too, cheap delivery and food arrived within 25 mins and was still very hot! Thank you for the lovely food!

Had a delivery tonight, not being from the area I expected a late delivery, not warm food…. Well delivered on time in fact early, food piping hot, and by far the tastiest food I’ve had in ages. Will definitely use again when next in the area.

We live in France, so the opportunity to have a ‘proper’ Chinese meal is a bit of a treat. We’re stopping with relatives in Great Yarmouth and fancied a takeaway, we certainly weren’t disappointed! The staff were cheerful & welcoming and the food was hot and delicious. Worth travelling from France for!!

Last night we ordered from Dragon Palace and we have to say that this was the best takeaway I have had in a long, long time. First of all, I would like to thank the staff who are always polite and helpful on the phone when ordering. Once ordered, the food then arrived in exceptional timing. The food itself was amazing! Hands down the best Chinese takeaway food we have ever had; I cannot praise it enough. Special mention to the delivery driver who when we overpaid (we gave him £40 rather than £30), he kindly knocked on the door and returned the extra £10. Once again, thank you for this kind act.

BBQ Ribs, Sweet n sour chicken balls are amazing

Always had good food from here but last Friday's food was exceptional. Wondered if you had a new chef, if so keep them.

The best Chinese ever everything is cooked perfectly and tastes great every single dish I have ever ordered. My past order. Salt pepper chicken Salt and pepper chicken balls Singapore style chow main Sweet and sour chicken.

Very good food but 1 item wasn't there even though we ordered it. It had happened before so we hope it won't happen again as we like the food.

Been regular customers for over 10 years. Always enjoyed the food however today, we received a very late order and the food was cold. It was not luke warm but stone cold. Thought we’d ring the restaurant to have a chat. The lady on the phone was very friendly however the owner wouldn’t offer us a refund or even an apology (even though the delivery was 35 minutes late and the food was inedible). Very disappointed with both the quality of the food this evening and the customer service. They’ve lost regular customers.

Always my go to Chinese takeaway when I, m in the area. Premises is always clean and tidy. Very welcoming. The main ingredient, the food is excellent. Hot, always right which and served with care. Great place.

We have been getting takeaway from dragon Palace at least once a week for about a year now. Usualy the same things my partner always has the king prawn curry with boiled rice and I have the beef curry with fried rice. It is simply the most delicious curry every single time we have it. The quality of the the ingredients is realy good and about 10 king prawns with peas mushrooms onion and carrot. I honestly think my partner is addicted to it lol.i think she would have it every day if she could The beef is so tender and lovely flavour too. It is the best Chinese takeaway in the area that is for sure. Tonight we also had sweet and sour chicken balls and they were the best we have ever had also. Thanks so much and just keep doing what your doing so well

I travel from Great Yarmouth to get my Chinese Takeawy. It's always hot when I get home. The staff are very friendly and helpful. The food is the 2nd best I have ever had.

Excellent takeaway believe me reviews don't do it justice. Special fried rice and chow main great chilli beef to die for. Wish I'd found it earlier in my holiday.

Absolutely delicious, best Chinese takeaway I've had for a long time. So much food in each serving there would have been enough for 2 people. Very good value for money.

Myself and my husband have just had salt and pepper chicken and chilli chips peking style. Food was not nice at all. Chips were a funny texture where they had been reheated and were hard. We have given many opportunities for the food to improve but it hasn't, its just got worse. We used to absolutely love this take away and used it all the time but over the past 8 months to a year it has gone really down hill and food is not nice at all. We will no longer be ordering from here and will find an alternative take away. Such a shame.

I used to love this Chinese so much I wouldn't have a bad word said about it. But in the last year or two it's REALLY gone down hill. I'll think I'll search elsewhere for my Chinese takeaway

First time ordered from here, they took card payment, delivered well within time frame they gave us, food was lovely and hot and the chicken in my black bean sauce were massive chunks. Lovely

Ordered a takeaway and was told it would be 40 minutes. That's o.k. if you know that. When I got there to pick it up I was told it would be another 20 minutes. It was in fact, another 30 minutes. Consoled my myself with the thought that having waited this long and the star rating on the reviews it would be worth it. How wrong I was! The food was Luke warm, watery and tasteless. Such a shame as I would like to support local businesses but in a seaside resort with so many fast food outlets, you really do need to be at the top of your game and fast!

I am a local resident in Caister. I have been eating vegetable chow mein from Dragons Palace for years. Other chow neons cannot beat it. However, I am a strict vegetarian. Not vegan, but I have always made it clear that that I am vegetarian. As such I don't eat sea food. Yet today, I discovered that the satay sauce that comes with the chow mein has seafood in it. I am livid and very disappointed. I can no longer enjoy my favourite chow mein with a clear conscience and I feel completely misled. Vegetarian means exactly that. If I still ate sea food, I would be a PESCATARIAN. If you run a food business, you have a duty to no the difference and to label your food clearly. Not happy.

Loved it. Had sweet and sour chicken balls, chicken curry, and vegetable noodles. All very tasty. Chicken very tender and curry sauce very good flavour. Only here for the week but would definitely order again.

We were staying nr Caister-on-Sea mid week and as site food very restricted due to covid decided on a Chinese so we looked at The Dragon Palace and Tasty House menu , and due to items on menu decided to order at Dragon Palace - there were 3 of us so ordered a Quarter of crispy aromatic duck served with pancakes, duck sauce, spring onions and cucumber - the sauce was very salty and duck was extremely dry. 2 x combination starter - spare ribs small pieces very dry, prawn toast, chicken satay on skewers but no satay sauce and mini veg spring rolls which were hard to bite into. We ordered 3 popular combination plates 129 chicken chowmein ,spare rib and fried mushroom and opted for chip option - the chips were under cooked and dry no sauce on it 126 sweet & sour king prawn balls - batter very guppy and not crisp,chicken & mushroom - chicken chewy, and fried rice - we couldn't find sauce for sweet & sour 125 sweet & sour chicken balls,spare rib bean sprouts and upgraded to special fried rice - again batter not crispy and couldn't find the sweet & sour sauce And a bag of prawn crackers. These were good I don't know if they were having a bad night but two of us definitely had a bad night after eating there. Would I recommend it - no as it doesn't stand up to others i have around UK and Europe. This was about 8pm at night on a Wednesday Next time try Tasty House and hopefully they will add a mix starter as this was reason went to Dragon Palace. Everybody has different tastes and what the 3 of us didn't like others may like.

All our dishes tasted different, the takeaway stayed really hot until the end of our meal, without drying out. Really enjoyed the food. Reasonable price too.

Good value food and well cooked not greasy or over cooked. Had beef chow mein and beef n chicken chow mein, chips in curry sauce. Would use again when near. Well worth a try.
