Wonderful, fresh chicken and chips. Great service too. Highly recommended.

Excellent food and service and very reasonable wine list prices for a restaurant. Pickle tray had some lovely sauces . Mixed Kebabs were great with Samosa, tandoori king prawn , sheekh kebab and chicken tikka with salad garnish. We tried the North Indian Garlic chilli chicken and the Goan Chicken Xucuti with a keema nan and mushroom rice. Both the main course had plenty of chilli heat which we liked.

This is a very nice friendly pub / restaurant / hotel. It can be, especially on Sunday, very busy. It does has a car park lot, right across the street. To park there, you need to get there very early. On average, we go there twice a month for Sunday lunch, which I feel is great value. I always have the pork, a choice from three; beef, chicken and pork. Its really tasty and cooked perfectly. The alternative I like is the pork belly, maple glazed. Lovely roast potatoes, gravy, Yorkshires and veg. The prawn and crab salad appetizer is very nice, but a little small. The service is always sharp, polished and friendly. Choice of booze is very good. My only "moan" is the serviettes are thin "paper". One wipe and its falling apart. I did talk to the restaurant manager about that and he commented that its all about "cost" of managing the laundry of linen. I get that; but do think on a Sunday, always rammed, it would be a nice addition. I also often also pop in for a beer with my adult daughter. Really nice place; right on my doorstep home.

So, eight of us came to The Red Dog today & two of us ordered scrambled egg on toast. Whilst three others ordered full english breakfast, five minutes later waitress returns to inform us - no scrambled egg. Why is this when its on the menu & three others are having full english which would involve having an egg we asked. A shrug of the shoulders was the waitress's answere 😏😏, when we came to pay for items consumed. Wrong breakfast menu was issued, first cafe ive been to that has different breakfast menus to issue. My theory is they ran out or was running short of eggs 🙄. Found owner very abrupt serving at the till or maybe she was having a bad day 😮.

What a great place to eat, new clean and the staff are good we have been twice our grandchildren loved it

Brilliant meal! We booked in advance, and the restaurant were really helpful, particularly when we needed to adjust the size of the party. In the end they catered for seven of us and provided great food, beautifully presented and cooked.

Came here on Monday 16th December for a family meal the service was great the food was even better such amazing flavours and GREAT value for money thank you so much for having us

Fantastic little coffee shop in the centre of Peterborough, definitely up with the big well known brands. Clean, tidy and well facilitated with a great coffee and good menu. Helder is a fantastic host, very engaging and willing to have a chat. Will definitely be coming back

The mushroom starter was pleasant and the soup was fine. The Xmas dinner was disappointing. Not much of it - sliced parsnips and carrots very meagre. The gravy was very salty. The beef rib gravy was also salty. Cheesecake was so sweet none of the party wanted it. A service charge automaticity added though I’ve since read it is voluntary. Last years Xmas meal was delicious, that’s why we returned. This year, sorry, not so much.

The only bar in town that says they “Serve Great Cocktails” but doesn’t serve any cocktails EXCEPT an espresso martini. Laughable 🤣😂🤣😂Was told by the owner to a group of us, that the Tavern was not a cocktail bar.
