The best restaurants in East of England

Very disappointed with the food on offer, massive thick doorstep sandwiches all bread and little filling. Not much choice of anything else. They offered to do "thin" slices for me but even these were thick. Could do with something with salad and real thin bread. Don't think I'll be going back.

It's been a while since we were here last and I believe the bar has changed hands and unfortunately for us the food was not a patch on what we had before. Service too was not good.... we had to ask for coffee and wait at the till to pay. Sad to say but we probably won't be going back.

I had a pizza, perfect thin base, expertly freshly made. Then the topping, perfect. I'll be back. Arnold

We were there for a party. Amazing welcoming service, wide menu choice and talented chef. Tried to book not long afterwards but fully booked! All the food beautifully cooked, and tasty properly seasoned sauces. Definitely worth a visit.

I came to visit with my wife and some of our friends for dinner. The food was very good, and the service, especially from one of our waiting staff (Mishca) was fantastic, she was incredibly helpful and friendly. The only real problem was that it's quite an open restaurant in an old pub, which is an older building, without any soundproofing. This did make it quite loud, which may have not been terrible but there was also an especially loud group of men shouting constantly which meant we did really struggle to hear one another at our table. I'd really suggest the restaurant invest in some sound proofing, maybe even just dividers for tables to help lower the noise, as obviously we don't expect people to eat in silence but it really was loud. Overall a really good experience just let down a bit by that aspect of the atmosphere.

Amazing place. Best eggs Benedict I have had. Perfectly cooked eggs, drizzled with chive oil. Lovely view over the marina. Best place in Ipswich for breakfast by far!

food was horrid lamb tough and grisly sauce horrible not happy at all

Really good food and a groovy place. Stopped here for some lunch and would recommend a visit. Only reason atmosphere is a 4 is because we went on a weekday and it was quite quiet in there. We got the set lunch menu. 1 with Gnocchi for the main which was delicious and fresh, the other with a fish cake which was also very nice. They have the lunch portion sizes down to a T as we left feeling satisfied but not too full that we needed an afternoon nap.

Had lunch. First time we'd dined here. Impressive. Think we need to return a few times to give it a full and detailed appraisal.

Fab food, great atmosphere, fully covid compliant.

Great service from being a half filled restaurant at 9am to being full half an hour later on a blustery and rainy day. Food quality good and not too badly priced. My half of a tomato was tepid inside & black pudding could’ve been cooked longer on one side but the other side was perfect. All in all a positive experience and just being picky with how I like my food.

Fabulous meal today. Best gluten free & dairy free fish and chips I've ever had!! Couldn't have been more helpful.
