Franks - Fusion Restaurant Leigh Broadway in Southend-on-Sea

Popped in on the off chance on a busy Saturday lunchtime and got seated almost immediately. Peanut chicken salad and Caesar salad both very good, and with decent portions. The side of truffle chips was also generous! Other food coming out of kitchen also looked very appetising. Will return!

Had such a lovely meal today. Fish and chips was really lovely. Service very good. Surrounding very relaxing, very bright. Will definitely go again.

Decided to pop to Franks on a Wednesday and was pleasantly surprised it had a lovely atmosphere. Staff friendly and helpful , we went for a smash burger which was tasty, and served with a plentiful amount of fries. Our little dog was welcome too!! We’ll be back

I have been to Franks on various occasions, and it never disappoints. I came here on my birthday in January, and the service was great and the food and drinks was even better. Even stopped by on Valentine’s Day to have drinks at the bar. Not many places in the broadway can compete with Franks level of delicious cocktails and their pricing. My favourite place to visit down the broadway, stopping by Franks is a must!

Love it here - have been going for years and still my fav place to go in Leigh maybe in the UK! You must never get rid of the mai tais and tuna tostadas!!

First time going for Taco Tuesday, really enjoyed it, friendly and welcoming staff, good food and the deal options were great value.

Without doubt a new found fav for us! Such a cool chill sexy vibe! We visited Franks who thankfully squeezed us in last minute on Valentines Day. We had a three course meal, all perfectly cooked (the surf and turf was unbelievable) not to mention the cocktails, service and overall atmosphere! All in all an outstanding experience for both of us and we only wished we had visited sooner! We will certainly be revisiting and have even considered going back tomorrow for Taco Tuesday! Thanks again to the incredible staff for getting us in last minute and enabling us to have one of the most memorable valentines meals, not to mention our first as a married couple! See you soon xoxo

Had an amazing meal at Frank’s! The truffle parmesan croquettes were out of this world - crispy, cheesy, and absolutely delicious. The service was top-notch, and the atmosphere was warm and welcoming. Can’t wait to come back!

Felt the need to immediately post after the most glorious Roast / afternoon at Franks. Friendly familiar staff as always, food is always well presented and full of flavour. First time roasting here for me (I’m a Taco’s gally) sent my food pics to the group chat and everyone can’t wait to book in. Live music was such a lovely touch and made it such a nice experience. A sunday well spent, thank you!

Everything was so delicious! The tuna tostados were to die for. I did have to mention that my steak (ordered medium rare) came with only one slice pink of them all. The staff were so quick and kind about giving me another. I do appreciate that on Valentines Day they probably have much higher volume of customers as well. They even took it off the bill and gave me a cocktail on the house, which I never asked for. Thank you so much and we will definitely be back for Taco Tuesday! X

Franks has definitely come along way since the menu has changed. We were lucky enough to grab a table on a busy Saturday (February) afternoon. The friendly staff and buzzy atmosphere made for a great dinning experience. The varied menu will suit all tastes. Can’t wait to return and try anyone dish. BTW the triple cooked chips are a must

Loved this place! The staff were fab, attentive without being overly so. We had the Sunday roast, which is the best roast I've had in a long time! (I had beef, and there was a good amount of it!) Will definitely be going back

Sunday roast was impeccable. The vibes and decor of Frank's is such a nice touch and loved the Christmas decorations! Food might take a little longer when its busy but I think this is genuinely down to the effort and care they put into their menu and you could tell this from the first bite. Staff were lovely and provided exceptional service - didn't get to try the cocktails but they looked stunning behind the bar! 5/5 would come again (and again and again...)

The menu looks good but the food doesn’t match up to expectations. On top of that, I believe the place has some hygiene issues as all of us ended up with upset stomach after the meal. Won’t be going there ever again for food.

Smacked cucumber a little too spicy for me. Pulled pork sandwich delicious but very messy! Truffle fries to die for and both generous portions. My friend loves the lobster roll and has it frequently, though has mentioned it could be just a little bigger! Service was a little slow, clearing plates etc. We would have ordered more drinks if anyone had come past and asked, the cocktails are great.

Stopped by Franks for lunch on a Saturday. Had the Caprese sandwich with added chicken which was delicious. The Barman was very friendly and great service provided from the waitress's. 5 star

Extremely well thought out menu, something for everyone whilst still being interesting and everything we had was spot on. The new look of the restaurant takes you away from the Broadway, so I’m looking forward to trying the lunch menu and coffee whilst working from there in the week.

Instantly, the atmosphere and the decor was sumptuous, but cosy and welcoming. The GRILLED TIGER PRAWNS & red chilli jam & green mango salsa starter is an absolute must!!! The cocktails are to die for! Especially the Expresso Martini & Lychee!! We had a window seat, which was great to watch the world go by and it was a beautiful afternoon The background music was atmospheric, but not too loud. The service was exceptional! An overall fabulous meal and will definitely be back! ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

Visited for lunch mid-week, very chilled and welcoming atmosphere. Staff are really friendly and the new menu has plenty of options. The chicken sandwich was great and the perfect size for a light lunch

Whilst the food and service were good, and the refresh of the restaurant made for a very pleasant atmosphere. We found the pricing, particularly the drinks ( £5 for a bottle of still water) was excessive. The salmon dish was very good, the chicken parmigiana was average.

Returned to Franks after their refurb. Was not disappointed. Food was as fresh and delicious as always. The cocktails were fabulous and the service excellent. Still one of my favourite restaurants.

I'm so glad we stopped here as an off chance... it was a family catch-up, and we ended up staying all afternoon. The food was amazing, and I loved the new menu. We had the privilege of talking to the owner. He is super passionate about the what he had to offer but also wanted to listen to customer option. Highly recommend as a new Leigh on Sea place to be. Really kind and amazing staff, great food quality, amazing menu and lots of options to choose from. the food was amazing and come out really quickly and the service was absolutely amazing. The staff were so welcoming and we stayed in the restaurant for around 4 hours, with staff consistently checking on us and being friendly. Went out of their way to make conversation and had a great lunch. Will be back!

Been on the list of places to visit for a while, finally got the chance to go over the Easter weekend! The first thing that stood out was the decor, really nice vibe with bright bold colours and great artwork. I wanted to try the entire menu but here’s what we had: Totopos to start with guacamole and pico de gallo. The tortilla chips were great! Gambas - Grilled Tiger Prawns with Achiote, Citrus, Honey, Chilli. These were amazing, our fav thing we tried. The prawns were huge and super tasty. Al Pastor Tacos - these aren’t traditional al pastor which is cooked on a rotating spit but more pulled pork style. Still great flavours and anything with pineapple on always tastes great. Arroz Con Pollo Bowl - these bowls have lots of goodies in. The grilled chicken had crispy skin and I enjoyed the picked cabbage. I personally wouldn’t get one of these again, I’m glad we had ordered a couple of the salsas to give it some extra flavours. Can’t forget the margaritas too. We had the Picante and it was sour and spicy just the way we like it. 🌶️

It was fairly empty the Wednesday afternoon my wife and I went but we felt relaxed and the service and food was great. Very friendly lady serving us.

One of the best restaurants in Leigh! I love visiting here, always great food, some plates are a bit expensive for the portion size but others are more than their value for money. Great wines too!

Fantastic restaurant in Leigh offering some of the best tasting and well presented Mexican inspired cuisine you will find for miles around. The staff are always welcoming and accommodating. Food is perfect every time. The cocktails and specifically the tequilas on offer are incredible. Me and the wife have visited a few times, and we are never disappointed. Always looking forward to our next visit!

We had a fantastic meal at Frank's, we ordered the set menu for 2 of our party and 2 separate mains. Lots of really delicious food that we shared. Great customer service when one of our meals took a while to cook after the rest had been served they gave us complimentary chips. Really well prepared tasy food and great drinks options. Loved that they had a few alcohol free options too. Would highly recommend this place

Great tapas of chorizo, fish tacos, chips n dip, chicken skewer, calamari and the best chunky chips! Service couldn’t be faulted. Lovely eve.

One of the best quality places in the area. Brought a friend who had been touring europe and said he had his best meal to date here: gambas, catch of the day, baja avocado, pisco sour, trio de maiz. Special mention to the arroz con pollo bowl. The only suggested improvement is to make the pisco sour a bit stronger.

Great service, delicious dishes. Different from the originals but amazing fusion mexican food. And I love the Pisco Sour drink, the best I tried in UK.

Return visit as 1st visit was out of this world. Best Tapas I ever had, but the return visit on Tapas Tuesday was very limited and not the same quality as we 1st had. The crispy potato braves we 1st had, were a little soggy, the tortillas a little dry. One dish the chicken was very good. The meal was OK but Tapas Tuesday needs a bigger choice. We will go back but on a day they have their bigger menu. Hopefully it will be as good as our original visit.....please!

Cannot fault this place. As a pescatarian there was plenty of choice and dinner was sublime. I had halloumi & mango skewers, calamari, fish tacos and a chocolate crème brûlée. Genuinely some of the best food I’ve ever had. Such fresh, amazing flavours in every single dish. Really nice atmosphere and staff, too. Absolute gem.

Absolutely smashing. It's moved to my #1 spot in Leigh for a relaxed late afternoon dinner. Everyone was friendly, service was extremely quick ( any quicker and we'd suspect over prepped food, which absolutely was not the case ). The tacos were delightfully full, the aubergine was really flavoursome, but the star of the show was the lamb cutlets that arrived in a smoking banana leaf. Bonkers tasty.

Tasty small sharing plates which all taste fresh and well presented. Little bit echoy inside so were overwhelmed by nearby table of lively ladies. Waiting staff very friendly

someone say taco tuesday? it is at franks, but other than tacos and a few sides, that’s all they do… food choices were way too small, tacos or potato’s, nothing else, so maybe up the menu as well. the price? way too high, the food was good, but not worth it when adding all the pieces of the day together.

Love what's been done with the place. The ambience & comfort to sit & dine were spot on. Unfortunately though we found the food way too expensive for what you got. A beetroot salad at £15 consisted of Beetroot ( obviously) leaf, cucumber & sweetcorn which I could have made at home for a fraction of the price. None of us were wowed by any of the food & sadly for that reason we would not return

So excited about going. Menu sounded delightful. Firstly takes alot to get myself and my husband out of Rayleigh...but this was worth a visit. Arrived 15 minutes early. Our table which we were shown was not quite ready. So sat at the bar ordered our drinks then a lovely young lady proceeded to take us to our table. As we went to sit down 2 ladies sat in our seats which the bar manager showed them to. Awkward moment for our waitress who...bless her tried to sort out. I could go on and on and on here. But what is the point. They couldn't accommodate us in a suitable table. We were put in a position by the door and the reception desk with myself a view of a large vase of plastic flowers. So I am not on here to slag of Franks food...didn't get to try it. The waitresses were amazingly 👏 lovely and apologetic. But SHAME ON YOU BAR MANAGER.. couldn't even come over and say sorry. Needles to say ended up in home town of Rayleigh ...tried a little new Mediterranean restaurant which we will review later. All I can say is superb. So Franks basically go it looked lovely. But one stupid yellow bellied man let his whole team down. Well done 👏

Such a great find. Frank’s is deceptively spacious and airy. The food was plentiful and delicious. We chose the set menu - the portions arrived as they were freshly prepared and we couldn’t fault any of it. Service was great too. We really recommend Frank’s.

We visited franks in Leigh on sea last week and we had cocktails and food it’s was delicious and fabulous place to be staff was amazing we felt so special to be there. We definitely enjoyed the restaurant and we enjoyed everything we come for. Super happy with everything. We will be back . Thank you all at franks to make our night special and memorable!

Come here for the Taco Tuesday evening. Margaritas were brilliant! Also had a beer bucket and 3 tacos which tasted really good. Would definitely come here again.
