The best African/Nigerian place to visit in southend. I had their Afang and bitter leaf soup, it is second to none. The best I’ve had in the Uk

Amazing food, amazing atmosphere, amazing staff and Owner! I spent the day with my family at the sea side and didn’t want fish and chips, we located this(easy to find) restaurant and had the most amazing Jollof rice and suya! My family and I were treated like royalty, and the children were catered for with no problems.(which was a relief because they were tired and hungry!) It’s also an amazing venue to host parties, We look forward to our summer trips to south end even more thanks to this gem!

This was my first experience in a Nigerian restaurant. The food was delicious. Would definitely go back and recommend to others if they want food with plenty of flavour and plenty of kick. Looking forward to my next visit.

Food is made fresh. Tastes very delicious and the soups are made to your pepper preference. I highly recommend you eat here

Enjoyed here with my partner and two children, was the first time eating in normally have had takeaway in the past from here. Very fun ambience; great music by DJ, food was amazing very tasty! Was worried about spice levels because of the kids but it was perfect. Presentation was also great; and owner so friendly. Will be going again soon!

The fried rice and the fish is definitely a must!!! Fresh, with the right amount of spice!! Plantain is rightly cooked and the service is excellent!! Highly recommend.

This is THE best Nigerian restaurant in the whole of Southend and Essex. Really tasty food presented beautifully and a great atmosphere and customer service. The food is clearly made with love which makes it well worth the wait each and every time.

Really nice African dishes available here , tried their asun and white rice combo and it was superb. The service was also top notch and the atmosphere made lots of sense too, with good African sounds playing at the background . Would recommend for anyone who wants to have a African Experience while in Essex .

Lovely atmosphere and just vibes on vibes, the music really set the tempo. Just with most authentic Naija restaurants, food takes some minutes to come out but never disappoint😍.

Phenomenal. The flavours of the egusi was tantalising. The pounded was just how I like it. The plantain was perfectly ripe. Johnson who served us was receptive, attentive and the service was immaculate, if you are in Southend or in London and looking for a wholesome experience of Nigerian dishes, Heritage is the place to be, can I get an Amen?! 😍🔥🔥🔥

The suya is amazing and they offer unforgettable African flavors in a welcoming setting. From the authentic dishes to the warm atmosphere, it's a must-visit if you want a true taste of Africa. Highly recommended!

Yeye place! They never pick calls. I ordered twice via Just Eat but was not taken. The person who eventually picked up after 8 calls was extremely rude. No iota of professionalism. He ended the call on me! I had to quit. I ordered from Africa Taste.

Very nice Nigerian restaurant to eat at. The ambience is great, staff are friendly and the food is delicious. I also ordered Isiewu and I must say it is one of the best ones I have had in the UK.

This place is well worth the visit some of the best food I've ever had in my life would recommend to anyone. Service was extremely welcoming, music playing setting the vibe.

Great tasting food. Always a delight to have food from this restaurant.

Pretty poor all round. Took 1 hour 10 mins to get ‘stewed’ chicken and microwaved rice and a portion of plantain. In a nearly empty restaurant. Order came out wrong, but at this point couldn’t be bothered to get it changed. Minimal sauce which meant it was dry and the chicken itself was dry along with clearly microwaved rice. I LOVE African food and have had it from many different establishments however this is not one I would recommend. Such a shame !

I ordered “Grilled Fish Croaker” and I received uncooked fish with fried plantain!!! Staff are very unprofessional and extremely rude to customers. Scum of the earth.

Best Nigerian Restaurant in Southend hands down. Food is very tasty, and the ambience is lovely, clean and lit. Always look forward to eating meals from here❤. Heritage restaurant has been my go to over the past year. I'm addicted to the food and the ambience. It's comfortable, clean and homely. I've never met hosts so welcoming and never laughed as much as I have in any restaurant. Will definitely be going back, especially for my suya fix ( it's the best I've had in England hands down)

Actually waited more than 2hours for them to send us our meal. No customer service whatsoever. In the end had to eat some of my friends food because mine did not arrive in time and by the time it did I was full and had to do takeaway. My other friend didn't get her meal till we was about to leave. Absolutely ridiculous. Won't be coming here again.

Excellent food.. 'best chicken I've ever had', and even better hospitality from the owner. We came, asked a million questions about the menu, were given spot-on recommendations. After we finished eating we got up and had a boogie! Go eat here!!

First of all, the customer service is first class, the atmosphere is very welcoming, tidy and clean... The food is to die for...I bought some freshly made suya and meeennnn, it was lush!!! It is slowly becoming an addiction for me and ...money spent in here is well-deserved... I am coming back for moreeeeee!!!!

I ordered two portions of Jollof rice. They were £5 each which is a very reasonable price considering the size of the containers which I'd describe as large. I requested it to be extra spicy so rather than change the taste of the rice they specifically made me a spicy stew/sauce free of charge on this occasion. I am very satisfied and will be returning soon. 💯

5* Star Nigerian food. The suya is incredible and the jollof rice is one of the best I've tasted. And I grew up in Lagos. Wherever you are in the UK, if you are look G for authentic high quality Nigerian food. You must visit this restaurant. Nice atmosphere and stylish interior.

My first time coming here but I will DEFINITELY be back with all my friends and family. I had the garnished king prawn, asun and grilled crocker fish paired with jellof rice and i CANNOT fault anything at all because everything was on point. Fast, tasty and reasonable price.

Whilst the country is still partially on lockdown went here for a takeaway order of: Chicken Suya, Plantain, Jollof and Porridge Yam. Food quality was amazing, service was good and I'm not a regular here so I assume they are nice to everyone. There was a fridge full of Nigerian beverages (Star etc) And a few televisions in the shop. Will return some day, maybe I will actually sit down when lockdown is fully lifted

A hidden gem in Southend. Such a friendly place and probably some of the best food we've ever had - the beef suya and jollof rice were amazing - must try!!

Nice and cool environment, its so relaxing from the neatness to the music. Their asun was out of this world, I could not stop. And the grilled tilapia.....ohhh is captivating. Keep it up.
