Red Lion in Brearton Green... lovely quaint village pub. Good food & very friendly service. Highly recommend. Very reasonable prices. Had sunday lunch after a nearby walk. 2 Roast dinners, 2 puds & a pint of Guiness (always recommended after a long walk... a pint of the black stuff.... Good source of iron).

A small group of colleagues got together for a lunchtime meal. This is a beautiful country pub. When we walked in we were greeted by friendly staff and the most wonderful open fire place with a roaring fire. The place had a really lovely feel and was very clean. The drinks were very reasonably priced and my colleagues were pleased they could get a pint of London pride. The food menu has some lovely options and there is a specials board. All the meals ordered came out hot, delicious and very well presented. Overall we had a lovely time and would highly recommend. (Just wish I actually lived closer )

Charming little country pub not too far away from Luton. Stopped here on a countryside drive a few days ago and found it almost by accident. It's definitely a village local and they serve some Tring Brewery ales including Sidepocket. Not my favourite ale of theirs but definitely worth a try if you want something locally brewed. Had a great welcome at the pub and will definitely return when we're next in the area. The landlord"s puppy is gorgeous as well.

We came across this gem of a pub with dog friendly rooms yesterday teatime, we work between Knebworth and Milton Keynes regularly, we booked last minute on a recommendation from another local pub... We only gave David, the landlord about half an hours notice, but everything was perfect when we arrived, the rooms are perfect, quite newly built from what we could gather, facilities fabulous, considering we hadn’t pre booked, all stops were pulled out for us... The actual pub was great, we live in a small village ourselves, which can be a bit clicky..... NOT here though, locals and staff were so friendly, all chatting, laughing (we are Northern! No north /south divide here)!!! Food was great too, really enjoyed our stay, will definitely stay again, rooms are perfect with a great village pub Can’t recommend enough Simon and Julia

It isn’t often you stumble across a pub as wonderful as the Red Lion, and we can’t wait to return. We were staying in a local B&B and arrived in the area at about 7pm, naturally we went straight onto our phones and scouted out the nearest pub on the map. It was just a few minutes walk away. This approach is often a miss rather than a hit as you never quite know what you are going to find. As we approached we were pleasantly surprised, a well appointed and inviting building that looked the part for a village in the countryside. There is always a bit of apprehension when you walk into a ‘locals’ pub but any apprehension was misplaced in this case as we were made to feel extremely welcome. It was quite busy but with a nice atmosphere and we were greeted with a smile by the barmaid who made us feel very at ease while we ordered drinks and enquired about the possibility of food. Throughout our time there we were chatted to by several people, all of whom obviously spotted we were visiting the village. Amazingly the kitchen is open until late and the menu had a massive selection, all the pub classics plus sandwiches, jacket potatoes and there was even a daily specials board. The portions were big and the food of a good quality, which was amazing considering how reasonably priced everything was. Who we assume was the landlord kept checking on us and was really pleasant throughout. There are a lot of pubs that could learn a lot from the Red Lion, good food, good drink, good service and a wonderfully welcoming atmosphere. We can’t wait to go back, and next time we might even stay there as we now know whey have B&B rooms there!

We just spent a fabulous week at the Red Lion Inn in Breachwood Green, a small village near Luton Airport but definitely in the countryside. A great place with gently rolling hills and narrow country lanes, great for bicycles. The new rooms were immaculate, roomy and very comfortable with lots of amenities, topped only by the tasty food in the pub and the warm hospitality of the staff, especially the two Davids and their dog Billy. We were helped to find interesting places to visit in the area and there is a bus stop right across the street. Highly recommended!

A very welcoming and friendly village pub in Breachwood Green. Dog friendly, more dogs encouraged and generally a pleasure to visit. Great staff, great food (especially the pizzas for takeaway) and a perfect spot for either a quiet pint, drinks with friends, a quick stop with the kids, or a good old fashioned session. Shows all the daily sport (where possible) and has a dart board for those that like to throw some arrahs 👌

This pub is local to the B&B where we were staying. We were slightly put off on arriving at the loudness of the TV which was showing a football match but once it had finished, the TV was turned down and more appropriate music played in the background. Hubby ate the chilli con carne which he felt was the best he'd ever eaten in a pub. I thoroughly enjoyed the spinach and potato soup, so very tasty. Served by a friendly young barman. We just had a fantastic meal at Chez Burton. The small plates were all delicious and the service was friendly and kind. I particularly liked that it was explained exactly what was on each dish when it was served. Also props for not adding a service charge automatically, which made me happier in choosing to leave a larger tip for the excellent service. We sat in the front of the restaurant as you walk in. I must say that the bar area also looks fantastic and the cosy room behind that with the comfortable and beautiful looking furniture looks dreamy and we will 100% try that for an after dinner cocktail when we come back!

Excellent meal with perfectly judged service. Lovely aperitifs, the best mussels I've had in a very long time, delicious slow cooked lamb with a good accompanying wine suggestion, a very nice ham & leek pie. Compliments to the chef, as they say, and to Indea in front of house.
