The best restaurants in East of England

Gras is fantastic! The staff are warm and attentive, the food is delicious and beautifully presented, and the atmosphere is cozy yet stylish. A perfect spot for any occasion—can’t wait to go back!

I have tried to visit this place 3 times in the last month (the times the restaurant is supposed to be open according to your website). There will be no fourth attempt. Lack of professionalism and total disregard for the customer's time.

While the food is delicious and we have been here when it’s not busy, we regret going on a busy evening like tonight. We were seated basically in the walk way and on top of people’s head, eventually felt too overwhelmed so decided to leave. When we explained that we didn’t really like our seating and will come back another time, not even an apology was issued just a “ok” and shrugged up of. The obvious fact that they tried their best to squeeze us in rather than explaining they are fully booked and seat us somewhere better for our comfort…

I have been here a few times now and I am never disappointed. Firstly the staff aways offer such a warm welcome. A lovely young man called Connor looked after my friend and I last week and couldn't do enough for us. The food is fab and the three for two offer is great especially when there are so many lovely dishes to choose from. We will definitely be back.

Excellent coffee house but oh so busy and noisy Lots of ladies and children….. Limited parking 🅿️ They actually bake their cakes in the shop. recommended

Our 3rd visit and were disapointed.. The Sunday roast is amazing!! The place was full, which is good to know. Lovely vibe...great staff and amazing food!

Recently visited here as our regular place in North Walsham was closed due to works. We called ahead to preorder, which we didn’t see the point of doing as it wasn’t ready when we arrived on time and had to wait a further 15minutes. I had the fish bites, which had the skin on, and with hardly any fish. If you managed to find the fish it was so overcooked it was chewy to eat. I had to throw them all away. The chips weren’t anything to shout about; they were edible. My partner’s medium skinless fish was ok. I will never go here again… If our favourite place is shut then we will wait until they’re open again.

Truly amazing! Short notice booking for daughters 20th birthday on today's date, attentive, polite, great food, very happy the staff brought out a complementary chocolate cake with birthday music this gesture is why I'm coming back. Many thanks Tarla restaurant.

I would like to award brick pizza with the worst pizza in norwich award. Burnt. Tasteless and gave me a really bad stomach ache. If l was starving and the pizza was free, l would rather starve. Awful pizzss and awful price.

Once again delicious food excellenty cooked.Arrive with a good appetite or you will struggle to get through the large portions of each course.Staff very friendly and accommodating.All in all a wonderful meal served with gusto.Book to avoid disappointment.

If you're in Luton and looking for healthy, nutritious, and absolutely delicious food, this restaurant is a must! It serves the best Palestinian cuisine I’ve ever had (and I was married to a Palestinian, so I know). The chicken liver is a standout dish, cooked to perfection and bursting with flavor. The entire menu is great, with a lot of variety. You can tell it's made with care and love. In traditional Arab style, the staff are friendly, and the atmosphere is warm and inviting. This place truly sets the standard for authentic and wholesome dining in Luton.

Went here last night to celebrate mine and my partner’s anniversary. I booked a few weeks prior for 7:15pm but they changed the booking for 7pm the day before. Luckily I noticed on the email and asked if it could be changed back to which they got a bit funny about on the phone. I know it was only 15mins but I can see in other reviews this has happened before! They changed it by a few hours so please make sure you check this! The guy behind the bar wasn’t that friendly and didn’t show us to our table. We waited 15 minutes and still didn’t get a menu, saw another couple come in after us and got a menu straight away. I asked if I could have one and got snapped at a few times to wait a minute. The waiters weren’t that friendly and mixed up some orders. But the the food is absolutely amazing! If it wasn’t for that, we wouldn’t have had a nice time coming here. When we went to pay the man behind the till suddenly changed his attitude by acting very friendly (guessing for a tip) but due to the service from him we didn’t give him one. If we could of just tripped the chefs we would of. I hope the mannerism of the waiters towards their paying customers change as it wasn’t a very nice experience especially when our bill nearly came to £100.

Honestly the best night ever last night there was a singer that kept the atmosphere up and the staff were amazing it was packed out but honestly one of the best nights out not if your looking for a quiet night but defo the atmosphere has fantastic Very much recommend this place and the waiter didn’t get his name so so good Food was great and staff on point ☺️
