The best restaurants in East of England

I love Italian so was excited to try a new restaurant. I had breads with oil and vinegar (yum) lobster ravioli (yum) and panacotta (my favourite). That was also yum. Service was good and I had a great time with my 6 friends. Would definitely re visit. It's at the top of my favourite Italian restaurants list!! X

Just the place for a chilled evening with friends or a sunny afternoon. Excellent choice of hand brewed ales. Take home an Old Git today! Dogs welcome

We phoned up Sunday afternoon on the off chance we could get a nice pub lunch with our dog. Staff were so helpful, friendly and efficient. Food was fabulous, great little pub 5 ★

Absolutely superb. Highly recommend. Fantastic Turkish food (cooked to perfection) with generous portions at a reasonable (for what you get) price. Excellent service with friendly waiters. Will definitely go again!

Loved this place. The fish curry was so good. We ate outside but this was fine...the blankets were appreciated! Lovely staff too

Lovely friendly atmosphere in an old style traditional Italian. Lunchtimes are great value with good specials on the day.

The best experience at Indian Ocean Theydon Bois. The staff are incredible, on every visit the waiter Sam ensures to provide me and my friends with top quality personal service which always goes a long way. The food is fantastic and always hits the spot. The team is brilliant 10/10

Called in here for Sunday lunch. Two beef and one roast chicken dinner. All three were spot on. Roast dinners out aren't cheap anymore, 3 roasts, 3 drinks, and a dessert were over £80. Not necessarily the fault of the pub but blimey best part of £20 for a roast.

One of if the best burger I've had absolutely delicious, will be definitely coming back soon.

Had a meal here last night with 3 friends, the food was absolutely top class. Very italian feel when you're here, It's like going back in time. A bit dated with the decor, but you can't complain about the food, I had starter main and dessert and finished with an Irish coffee ! All my guest thoroughly enjoyed their food. Definitely one to try if you're in the area. Worth booking in advance as can get busy.

We visit Whitham 3/4 times a year to see Family. We cannot bring ourselves to eat anywhere else. It’s a unique setting with amazing food. So glad we stumbled across this gem of a place. The food gets better with every visit.

Service was awful from Aji, atmosphere was awful, food was awful and the worst part is I got food poisoning. Avoid this restaurant at all costs.
